Comments:1300 - Dr. DeG was my first professor at Baylor! She is so fun, nice, and passionate. The workload was average, not too much homework but consistent reading assignments. The exams were a little difficult but she prepares well through the class lectures and slides. TAKE HER!!!!!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:multiple - TAKE DEGRAFFENRIED ! ive had her twice now and she truly is one of my favorite profs at baylor! she is so funny and understanding and her teaching style is extremely clear while being super engaging. she grades fairly but not easily so you have to work to do well but it is so worth it!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1300 - She's such a sweet professor! Her class is really easy and makes her class really interesting. She has about 4 reflection papers which are easy A's and then she has a research paper on a childhood book in which you need to contrast childhood experience in the U.S to childhood abroad. She also has primary source analysis which is pretty easy. I think there's 2 tests: a mid-term and final, which are multiple choice, short answer, and analyzing a primary source. Put in the effort and you'll get an A.  - Grade In Class:C+

Comments:1350 - TAKE DR. DEGRAFFENREID !!! she truly is the kindest and funniest professor i've had. she truly is passionate about history and her students, and she replies to emails crazy fast. she is a fair grader and gives good feedback. if you slack off, that's your fault- not hers. i truly enjoyed her class and can't wait to take more!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3320 - I took history of childhood, which was so interesting and one of my favorite classes. She is so funny and genuinely cares about each student. She is very available for office hours and will give lots of feedback. She can be a difficult grader, but she tells you how to fix what was wrong. In this class, the only test was the final and we wrote 3 longer papers and 4 shorter papers. There is a lot of reading, but it is interesting and the discussions were very enlightening as well. Take Dr. deGraffenreid for sure!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3320 - I decided to take a chance with a course on childhood, and it was worth it. The very short intro book was awesome to get a sense of why to study the field, and she is such a great prof. She has an awesome sense of humor and knows a ton about social and cultural history, not just childhood. Paper grading can be tough, but the feedback is clear. Would definitely take more with her if I had time (but I'm done in May!).  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3342 - This class was by far the funniest I have ever taken (junior). DeGraffenreid really makes the lectures interesting, and she's genuinely nice. Kind of a hard-grader, though. But take her, definitely.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:HIS 1307 - Do not take Dr. deGraffenried if you want to save your GPA. I AM A HISTORY MAJOR. I have made A's in 4000 level history classes. This is a 1000 level class, I made 100s on all of the quizzes and book quizzes, showed up to every class, took very detailed notes, and studied my butt off for every exam. That being said, she is a ridiculously hard grader. This is a 1000 level survey class and she grades the course as if it is a 4000 level history class. Her grading is very subjective. Even if your answer is completely accurate on her tests and evidence exercises, she will take off points for not having the exact same answer she has. She is an excellent teacher and I learned a lot from her. She is an unfair grader though and I would not take her again. You're better off taking someone else.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:1307 - If you love history, take this class. If you love a teacher that is smart, has the best laugh, and cares about her students, take this class. If you don't mind doing work, take this class. WE are college students, and should understand courses that are difficult. This is one of them. Fair opportunities are given to perform well on a projects, online quizzes, in class book quizzes (on the four books we need to read), a a book response, and participation. In combination with five bonus points available on every test for attending a lecture, do not complain about this class being hard. The tests are challenging, but it is college. You don't get everything you want anymore. You don't deserve a gold trophy. Suck it up if you perform bad because you did not study. If you study and complete the study guide, you will succeed. If you do not, you will fail and get a 40 on an exam and this will lead to a probably drop. I got a 73 on the first exam, then brought it up to a 90, and finished with a 95 on the final. It is possible, trust me. And don't act like a kid who is a jerk because you are in a general ed. class; show interest, and be nice. IF you care about your professor, they do the same to you. And, TAKE THIS CLASS!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2016-12-14

Comments:3340 - Dr. deGraffenried is a nice woman, and she cracks lots of jokes in lectures which makes it seem not so bad. You will like her until she gives you her first test, and after that you will regret taking her course. She will deduct points for the smallest thing she does not 100% agree on, and I mean that. I have studied more for this history course than I have any of my other ones, and I have been making the worst grades on tests since I've been here at Baylor. She says that a class average of a 70% on a test is "really good." So, if you are looking for a history class you can enjoy and not have to worry about killing yourself just to pass...DO NOT TAKE HER CLASSES.  - Grade In Class:C

Date: 2014-10-14

Comments:1307 - All things aside she is an amazing teacher, and if you want to learn a ton and have a fun time in class take her. She is always optimistic, happy, and funny, making class easy to go to, but her tests are HARD, harder than any other test I have ever taken. I studied a ton for each test and still couldn't pull off higher than an 81. I did all the homework, and went to all but one class, and studied for every test and ended with a C+, but I would still recommend her as one of the best professors at Baylor  - Grade In Class:C+

Date: 2014-05-07

Comments:3342 - This class is the worst class I've ever taken at Baylor and the only reason for that is because she grades so unfairly. The multiple choice quizzes she gives are easy if you study for them, but the tests in this class are ridiculous. If you don't put every little detail about everything she talks about in class on the test then expect to get no higher than a C on every test. I put more time into studying for this class than any of my other classes and still did horrible on the tests because she took so many points off for not including the smallest details. She would be a great professor if she didn't grade so harshly, but because of the way she grades I'd have to say that this class is the worst class I've taken. There were a few readings which are incorporated in the test and a paper that is worth only 5% of the grade. She also makes you do an annotated bibliography which is the most useless thing I have ever had to do at my time at Baylor. It has no educational value and is just busy work. She also seems to have favorites in the class. So if you take this class, use a Russian accent and tell her you were born in Russia and maybe you'll get an A. If you love to be challenged with academics then this is the perfect class for you, but if you're looking for an interesting class that you can reasonably get through if you study then stay away from this class/professor.  - Grade In Class:C

Date: 2013-06-03

Comments:HIS 1307 - Okay, don't be fooled by the C. I screwed myself big taking this class, but I still have some good input. She is a GREAT history professor. First one I've had that can actually keep my attention. Her lectures are "death by PowerPoint" but she makes them interesting....but be prepared for a ton of fast note-taking. You have to read 4-5 books through the semester, but they are really easy to read even within one day. The quizzes are cake if you do the readings. My complaint lies with her tests. They are HARD. Like harder than any test I've taken. You have to know not only specific objective material, but A SHIT TON on specific objective material. Her tests take days to study for before you can feel comfortable about taking it only because the amount of material on each test. She grades easy, but you just gotta know the stuff. Other than that she's a great teacher. Just expect to work and read a LOT.  - Grade In Class:C

Comments:HIS 3342 and 4340 - Dr. deGraffenried is my favorite professor I had at Baylor! She is so fun and makes history interesting, but it also very organized and structured so you can take notes easily. She will keep you the whole class period, but it seems to go by so fast because she is so funny and full of energy! She is very willing to help her students, and make them better thinkers, writers, and historians. Some of the below comments say that she has her favorite, but that is not true at all. The reason why some people do not do well in her class is because she does put up with minimal effort. She does not require a lot of outside work, but when she does, she wants your work to show mastery of the content. She has high expectations for your work, but if you show an attempt at analyzing history at a high level, she is pretty generous with her grading. However, if you summarize and do not come up with your own thoughts, she will not give you a good grade. She makes it clear from the beginning that she does not want a summary of the information, but focuses on the understanding of the material and how it connects to other things. Therefore, if you do not want to work hard and make yourself a better thinker, writer, or historian, then you will not do well in this class. Those who pay attention and participate in class and are able to analyze events in a historical context are able to be extremely successful in this class. Instead of lecture centered class, her class is much more discussion focused, and are able to talk about different points of view regarding the material. These discussions are very helpful in writing your papers so you know what kind of direction you want to go. I would highly recommend her class to anyone, and I think every Baylor student should take her!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2012-01-19

Comments:HIS 4340 - Dr. deGraffenried is the best professor in the History department. She is so animated in her lectures and asks questions throughout the presentation to make sure everyone is engaged. She has a lot of funny stories and jokes that will help you remember the history. She is extremely willing to help you out and is probably the most personable professor on campus. She really does want to help you out and make you a better student. With that being said, she has very high expectations (like any college professor should), but particularly with writing. She is not unfair at all, she grades papers hard to make you a better writer and think more about the material, rather than regurgitate the material. The tests were all writing, with several ID's and an essay. Be extremely thorough with your writing. You are able to do this because she gives you the topic before the test. Because she gives you the prompt before, she expects higher levels of analysis and preparation. She also gives pop quizzes over readings, which are not hard. If you do the reading, you should do fine on the quizzes. Overall, everyone should take a class with Dr. deGraffenried, she will make any person who hates history come to love it. However, you will need to work for this class, so if you want an easy A with little work, this class is not for you. However, you can earn a high grade from her if you work hard.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:HIS 3342 - Best teacher I've ever had. Her passion for the class made me wish I had declared "Russian History" as my major. She's a dynamic fun professor who really cares about her students. She is a very tough grader; her response papers made me a better writer and a better thinker. You will only become a better thinker and writer after taking her class!  - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2011-12-18

Comments:HIS 4340 - First, I'd liked to point out DeG is enthusiastic about Russia. Personality-wise, she's a good professor. I felt the entire Cold War course was interesting. Much like the Israeli-Palestinian conflict class offered by the history department, it's one of those courses that completely change how you view world history. However, as other people below have pointed out -- unless you are a DeG favorite -- you will not get above a C on her assignments. For what it's worth, this is the only course so far I've ever received a C in. Especially since I gave detailed answers on her exams and the one book report; sorry, but nit-picking over a misplaced modifier or leaving out an insignificant detail does not warrant knocking off so many points on exams. Additionally, she quizzes you over random details in the textbook you read out of: "What was your favorite graffiti on the Berlin Wall?" Ok, really? Anyway, I really learned a lot from the course. I just wish the professor could be more honest and accurate in her grading.  - Grade In Class:C+

Date: 2011-12-16

Comments:HIS 4340 - She's nice and smart, but is an incredibly biased and unfair grader. If you are a favorite student of hers, you could fail everything and still get an A. But, for most students, she grades harshly. Tests are identifications and essays. You will not be given A's on any of them; she knocks your grade down for the most miniscule reasons (i.e. you didn't include random little facts that she never mentioned in class). Overall, the class was a disappointment; the course material itself was fascinating. But any possible enjoyment was annulled by the unfairness of deG. I had never earned a grade less than a B+ until this course; it's a shame it had to come at the hands of a great class, but a bad professor.  - Grade In Class:C+

Date: 2011-12-15

Comments:Russian History - By far the most unfair teacher I have ever had. And I am not the only one who thinks that after semesters of sitting in her class. She really knows what she is talking about (most of the time) in regards to Russian history. Sometimes, the Russian history class is too much about culture and not enough about what really matters. For example, we spent 3 weeks talking about peasant life and two days on WWII? Balance? I think not. But, you will definitely know Russian history when you are finished with the class. Your grade, on the other hand, will not reflect this knowledge. (Future prediction) You walk into her office and ask her why you received a “C” on your midterm when she comments “nice thesis; you know your stuff.” She says that your grade is above the average “D” and that you mustn’t worry. What the….? I think my GPA has a right to worry about a class that I am getting in “C” in when I clearly “know my stuff.” This situation will only come upon you if you are not her favorite. If you are, your life will be better than winning the lottery. You put in less effort than the work the average student puts into the test, and you will get an “A.” As far as workload, prepare to write a 1 page, single space paper for every 50 pages you read (per night) and then prepare for a test with tons of ids and several random essay topics. Good luck. Would never repeat this class.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:1305 - First off, she is an awesome person. Every lecture was interesting and she seems to thoroughly enjoy her job. There was always a joke to be made or a smile on her face. One of the few professors I have had that cares about her students. The lectures were taught very well and anything that was difficult to understand was explained in full clarity. She is very approachable and will help you if you need it. With that being said, she is a tough grader but fair. The tests are multiple choice, short answer, and have an essay. You have to be a fairly-good writer in order to do well on her tests and you have to explain everything in great detail to get full credit. There are 4 books to read a semester and a 5-page paper that is due over one of the books. We had map quizzes that we did online and other online activities that were due before each test. Overall, great class! It wasn\'t easy by any means but you will learn a lot.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2011-12-13

Comments:HIS 3342 - She is very nice and a wonderful lecturer. You will learn a lot from this class and it's really interesting. BUT this class is a ton of work. I did more work for this class than any of my other classes combined...ever! Her tests are all short essay/long essay and they are impossible to finish in a 50min class, yet she still expects very high quality. I got C's on everything and writing has traditionally been my strong point. Not in this class. She expects everything to be very detailed and you have to really know what your talking about. There is a lot of reading for this class. There is a reading journal you have to keep for 4-6 long articles (per week!) that are not easy to read at all and then you have to write detailed responses. Most of the articles were repetitive and a lot of them we didn't talk about, but you still have to do them. Plus there is an entire textbook to read and a few novellas. There is an extensive research paper at the end. Use lots of sources... Overall good prof, but hard to please. The workload was way too much for a 3000 level history class. I have a hard time saying I would really recommend it...  - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2011-05-17

Comments:3340 - I love Dr. deGraffenreid!!! She's really enthusiastic about Russian history (which is awesome since I previously was not) and she really knows her stuff. Her workload is a little much--we had to write at least 8 response papers over readings we had on blackboard, and I never got an A. She really expects her students to be very thorough writers. Her tests are all essay and short answer, but if you take good notes in class the tests shouldn't be a problem. Overall though, she is a really great teacher.  - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2010-12-08

Comments:SEES 2381/HIS 2381 - Dr. deGraffenried is a great professor. She is very personable and she doesn't come off as the super intelligent, but she absolutely is. Her knowledge about history and Eastern Europe (espically Russia) is unbelievable. She is a very tough grader, so be warned about that. However, if you come to class every time, and take good notes, you should do fine. Also, you need to be a good writer, her class is somewhat writing-intensive.  - Grade In Class:C+

Date: 2010-04-18

Comments:HIS 1307 - One of the best professors I have had. Bias set aside, her presentations (yes, dimmed lights with PowerPoint...) are nice. She has the most amazing giggle, and she is so optimistic. Her knowledge of history is unfathomable, and her insight shocking. Her quizzes are very (weak modifier) easy, AS LONG AS you do the reading. Otherwise you just may make a 40 like I did on one (don't panic, I saved myself). Her tests are what I personally like: difficult. For history I mean; Greek on the other hand... The key to a victory that will go down in history (no pun or rhyme intended) is to WRITE well. Take a few English classes first. Great Professor!!!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2010-01-22

Comments:HIS3340 - If I had the chance again I probably would not take this class. Not the best professor at Baylor. She's a little absentminded. Only a midterm and final. Lots of reading.  - Grade In Class:C+

Date: 2009-11-16

Comments:HIS 1307 - Ms. deGraffenried is the best teacher I've had at Baylor so far. Her enthusiasm for history is infectious, and thanks to her, my international studies and French double major became a history and French double major. You definately have to work to make an A in this class - there are only 3 tests the whole semester and they are relatively difficult. She doesn't post her powerpoints online, and there is a lot of note-taking, but it forces you to pay attention, which I'd say is a good thing. There are several books to read and quizzes over each, but the quizzes are EASY and the books are pretty good for the most part. She's the sweetest woman and a great lecturer - take her class!!!!!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2009-02-11

Comments:BICWCIII - The professor does seem like she has adhd or something of the sort. Honestly, her sense of humor was too childish for me, but there were many people in class who just thought she was hilarious. (I could not understand why.) Her small groups were OKAY at best. I never got anything too insightful from her, maybe that's why she's a historian. You should definitely take her if you have a stupid sense of humor.  - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2009-01-17

Comments:1307 - SHE IS AWESOME! She has a great sense of humor and is just downright hilarious therefore making class a joy. She presents the material in a manner that makes it easy to understand and fun to learn. Tests are slightly difficult but she makes study guides and those help a lot. I highly recommend her!  - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2009-01-13

Comments:BIC 2334 - WC III - Take a look at my grade and then listen carefully to what I have to say: This "teacher" is so bound by the system of grades she almost prevents the student from learning! The World Cultures III class deals with a lot of complex philosophy, and if you have a background in modern philosophy do not write your essays about something too complex! She asked me to "dumb down" my paper, claiming that the level of jargon - another word for vocabulary - detracted from my paper. Professor deGraffenried does not know much about music or art, and it is very easy to BS essays on those topics. She likes to grade her students' work in such a way to where she is protecting herself from claiming any responsibility to the grade she "bestows" upon the student; let me explain: If she awards you with an "A," it will most certainly be a low "A." She is known for being a stickler for participation grades, often slamming A-hopeful students with a hurtful 85/100 when that person has a documented perfect attendance for the class. She plays it very safe for the sake of her status as a lecturer, and it shows in her teaching style and helpfulness. I managed to get an "A" regardless, but let me tell you it was not easy. Professor deGraffenried is a nice person, do not get me wrong, but she is not an effective teacher to anyone who takes their education seriously (Perhaps in my case too seriously).   - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2008-12-19

Comments:3340 - I can't lie, she's funny and very nice. She's easy to like. However, I must warn you, she is a tough grader. You must be detailed in your test essay writing to earn an A. Every other comment is "Why?" or "When?" or "Whats the significance?." So be precise and detailed when writing. As for term papers, cite copiously.  - Grade In Class:C+

Date: 2008-12-19

Comments:BIC 2334 - World Cultures III---She's sooo great.. she's funny and tells little stories or jokes that pertain to what you're reading/learning about in class but it really helps to make you remember...she explains all of the works really well and if you dont understand say something and she'll explain it another way...she's real high energy and makes class interesting and fun so its not so mundane all the time... she wasn't super tough with our essays but if you're not anywhere close to where you should be on your paper it could cost you..overall great and I would recommend her for any BIC student  - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2008-12-12

Comments:SEES/BIC - She's a great professor who will make you want to come to class. Grading on essays can be somewhat tough at times, but overall she's fair.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2008-12-11

Comments:1307 - She is truly an amazing teacher. I think her experience in high school has made her realize that if you make things more interesting, the students will care more and do better! I never wanted to skip a class, how often does that happen?! If you EVER have the opportunity to take her, you will not regret it!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2008-11-10

Comments:HIS 1306 - Professor deGraffenried was definitely a nice person, but her lectures were a little boring considering the fact that she turned the lights off and utilized power point presentations. The quizzes are easy, but one mistake could result in a letter grade drop. Her tests are fine, but there was not much writing, as I would expect from a typical history course. Her use of secondary sources also lowered the experience of the class slightly. Overall, a good professor.   - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2008-07-15

Comments:1307 - Professor deGraffenreid was FABULOUS! I've seriously considered changing to a history major due to her teaching. Her lectures are always enjoyable, and she's just an all around fun lady. Her tests definitely require studying, but I found that because I absorbed so much information through her teaching, the studying wasn't tedious and the tests really weren't so bad. She also has you read novels in place of a text book and I enjoyed all of them. Definitely try your hardest to get into this class...even if it isn't a requirement!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2008-01-15

Comments:1307 - I loved her, she was very informative and interesting. Her powerpoints are very helpful and you actually learn because of her funny jokes. The tests are tough, but she gives review sheets that tell you exactly what you should know. You have to study extra hard for the essays, they are tough. We didn't have a textbook for class, only a few out of class reading books that she gave 5 or 10 question quizzes over, very easy if you read. Loved it, definitely take her.   - Grade In Class:B

Comments:1307 - Prof. deGraffenried is one of the best professors here at Baylor. Her lectures are exciting and go by really fast. There is a lot of information to write down, so that probably makes the time go by quicker. Her tests follow the same format: definitions, multiple choice, quote explinations, and short answers. If you study everything on the study guide she posts on blackboard, you will do fine. She also gives extra credit opportunities: go and listen to someone give a lecture on campus and write up a report on your reaction to the subject. She's so sweet!!! Take deGraffenried for history!!!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2006-11-29

Comments:1306 - Take her she absolutely the best teacher ever! I mean what college professor will try and dress up like a pirate and make a slide show. She gives a review sheet for every test and that is exactly what is on the test. The test are tricky but definitly fair! Definitly take her!  - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2006-11-16

Comments:1307 - First off, take her. She makes history so much fun. She's always excited to be teaching the course. I had so much fun learning from her that I would consider taking another one of her courses even though it's not in my major. Take her class!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2006-08-14

Comments:SEES 2 - DeGraffenreid is by far the funniest professor I have had a Baylor. I do believe the woman has ADHD or something. But you will really enjoy her class. She makes sure nothing is boring. The subject is something she really gets excited by and she shows it in her lectures. Her test are awful but she makes up for it with her lectures. I would definately suggest you take her if you are really into Russian History and Culture!  - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2006-08-14

Comments:1307 - Prof. deGraffenreid is one of those professors that actually makes you want to go to class. Her lectures are interesting, and her personality is bright. The class wouldn't be as easy if she didn't teach it. If you don't take her class, you're missing out on seeing what a professor should be like, and a class that is fun and gripping.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2006-05-19

Comments:hisotry 1307 - one of the best lecturers i've ever had, but u r tested more on novels bi-weekly (a lot of reading) than on actual material relating to "history". she will grade on a negative curve. ie if students do well, she will grade stricter on essays. my lowest grade and only b is in this class!  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:1306 - She's the best. I absolutely adored this class. She's so funny and makes history exciting, definitely take her.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1307 - Amazing professor. She is in love with history and tries to get everyone in the class to love it, too. Always happy and enthusiastic. She is probably the funniest teachers I've had. The only homework we had was to read 6 novels during the semester, and they were all about 150 pages. Her tests on the other hand are her downfall. They are brutal. Know your material & listen to the little quotes she thows in, they are almost always on the exams. Most are a mix of M/C, S/A, and fill-in-the-blank. As long you pay attention during lecture (and study a lot), you're in the clear. She also teaches Russian History (which she's in love with) so I can only imagine how excited she is during those classes. A definate taker!   - Grade In Class:B

Comments:2366 - Professor deGraffenried is my favorite Baylor professor. She is hilarious and the class is so enjoyable. She makes the material fun and easy to listen to even for those who do not like history. She is one of the reasons why I changed my major to history and want to later become a professor. She's so awesome! Take her.   - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2005-04-15

Comments:3342 - She is a really funny lady. Her lectures are entertaining and class does not seem to drag on and on and on. She is a pretty tough grader so beware. I am a Poly. Sci. major and the techniques I learned for taking tests in that department, as well as paper writing, do not translate very well into the History department. Don't take her class for a GPA booster.  - Grade In Class:C+

Comments:3342 - Sweetest/cutest lady prof at Baylor. Very energetic and it really rubs off. Her class is standard issue take notes then exam, reading isn't required, but it might in the future. Knows her stuff and if she doesn't know it she'll get back to you with an answer. Bizzare office hours, you're going to need to trap the lady. Has not problem in assigning work, so slackers beware.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:U.S. History - This could be one of the greatest teachers at Baylor. She makes class fun and enjoyable and she is always spunky. There are some books to read as well as quizzes, however if you attend class you can get some 100's on attendance quizzes. TAKE HER!!!!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1305 - Great teacher! Had her for 1305, and I really enjoyed it and learned a lot. The tests are pretty easy; I rarely read the book, but still did well on them, as they were mostly based off of the lectures. They were mostly multiple choice, with some essay. She has a great sense of humor, and makes the class interesting. You are required to read several books over the course of the semester, and there's quizzes on them, as well as an essay at the end of it all, but it's not particularily hard. If you study a bit and don't put things off you should do well.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1305 and 1306 - I've taken her twice, she's absolutely wonderful! She makes class interesting and fun and she has a great sense of humor, even at 8 am. Definitely take her if you get the chance!  - Grade In Class:C+

Comments:1305 - I REALLY like Mrs. deGraffenreid, she is very funny, her presentations are excellent and well organised, and her enthuisiasm is hard to miss. HOWEVER, I found her tests to be VERY hard, and if you are not good in Geography do not expect better than a C on any test, as she weights the Geo portion quite heavily.  - Grade In Class:C

Comments:. - She is a good teacher. At first I was kind of worried, but she is a very good history teacher, and you can tell she loves history. She does drag the class out a little, but overall she is a pretty good professor. I am taking her again.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:HIS 1305 - She is quite possibly the coolest professor on campus. She's funny with the quirkiest sense of humor and here's the great thing...YOU ACTUALLY LEARN STUFF. Everything she said in class was interesting. The tests aren't too bad if you study the review sheets, but I know some people had trouble...definitely college-level tests (NOT MULTIPLE CHOICE AT ALL, and you can find most of the stuff in the book, but lecture notes definitely help); The essay was usually 40 pts of the grade and they have to be good. The only "homework" grades were short and over the books you have to read (several). All in all, this was the best class I've taken at Baylor...I'm disappointed I can't take her next semester.
