Comments:Linear Algebra MTH 2311 - Dr. Littlejohn is my absolute favorite professor. He is so sweet and encouraging to students. Even though I do not like math, he has absolutely convinced me to voluntarily take more courses with him in the future. His homework is very reasonable, and I never felt like it was busy work. His exams are representative of the course content, and he helped his students prepare for them with review sessions. The course material itself was also portrayed in a way that kept me engaged and interested. It was still a difficult course, but was overall well balanced. The only "issue" I had with this course was the quizzes. The content itself was valuable; however, it was posted between 3 and 5 pm on Thursday and was due the same day at 11 pm. This posed difficulties, as with late classes and many extracurriculars, the last thing I wanted to do was get home at 10 and take the quiz. Dr. Littlejohn always granted an extension when asked, but asking for one every week is unreasonable. It would be more helpful if they had a slightly longer timeframe. Would absolutely reccomend him as a professor.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Linear - What a guy. I want to be like Dr. Littlejohn when I'm old. I struggled in this class at first, but after going to office hours (on zoom unfortunately) I saw how helpful Dr. Littlejohn could be if you just asked. He really cares about his students and did a really good job of trying to help everyone understand the material. He also has a practice of naming the people who get a 100 on his exams, so if you crave affirmation then that's some incentive for you to do well.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2311 - This course was synchronous online, so although it wasn't in person, Dr. Littlejohn was still an amazing, funny, and helpful prof! Littlejohn has taught this course for decades, so he knows the subject like the back of his hand, so he knows how to teach it in a way that you can understand. The workload wasn't too bad, he assigned HW on MyMathLab very frequently, and there was an online quiz almost every Friday. There are also three midterms and a final. The midterms are not bad at all if you study. Littlejohn sends practice questions sometime before the exam, and they are VERY SIMILAR to the test, and he also sends the solutions to those same practice questions, so take advantage if you want to score A's on them. The first two midterms were easy, and the average was in the 80s. The last midterm is more difficult, and the average was in the low 70s, so be sure to seek help during office hours. Littlejohn is always there to help, and he is just such a nice and sweet man with a loving grandpa-like personality. I love this man so much! Do yourselves a favor and take him!!!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:4313 - Dr. Littlejohn is a great professor. He's always available for help, and he's up-front about what the work he requires for his class. That optional homework? Don't bother (@sophie), because either he'll go through it the next class or it won't help you. We had five assignments to turn in throughout the year, and only one test before classes were switched to online and he decided to no longer give any tests, and give everyone at least a C in the class. He made it a lot easier on us as we were trying to make the transition to online classes, and I know my classmates and I really appreciated it. This was my last math class, and I am thankful to have taken Dr. Littlejohn before I finished my math major.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3312 - Dr. Littlejohn is one of the best people I have ever met. He is incredibly helpful and does a great job explaining the material. Go to his office. Though his other duties do sometimes get in the way, he is still always willing to help if you go by his office. He legitimately cares if you are learning the material and is just one of the best people I have ever met. You should definitely take a class with him if you ever have the opportunity.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:MTH 1322 - On the first day of class Littlejohn walked in, went over the syllabus, and began writing equations onto the board. It had been three semesters since I had taken an actual math class and the numbers and letters on the board didn't add up. Littlejohn is not the best teacher in large groups: often he neglects to explain how he came up with some of his smaller steps. However, I found he is much more efficient one on one and he makes plenty of time for his students despite his many duties. Go to his office hours. He's a really nice guy and helpful professor. Overall: Good professor.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:2311 - Dr Littlejohn does a tremendous job of teaching. He is the department chair, which means he is extremely busy, but always makes time for students. He explains the material very well, and he tells you what material is going to be on the test so that you can prepare well. Not an easy class, but enjoyable.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2311 - I LOVED this professor! Lectures were nothing spectacular, but he always wanted to make sure you understood things. In fact, he was always VERY helpful, and held review sessions before each exam. Homework was not collected, and I didn't always do it, but doing it really does help on tests/quizzes. Weekly quizzes were easy if you pay attention in class, as he goes over the type of problems that will be on the quiz several times. Exams weren't too bad, as you know what to expect. However, True/False sections can really hurt you. Also, problems on the exams can have many parts, and if you miss the first part, you'll get points off on the entire problem, even if your procedure for the rest of the problem was correct. So that did get annoying. If you go to class and the review sessions, though, you should be fine. Oh, and don't despair if you don't do well on the first test. He grades on improvement, and so may round your final grade up if you've improved! Overall, I definitely recommend this professor.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Calc 1321 - math is not my best subject, but lance is SUCH A GREAT TEACHER. he does like 20 examples for everything so you understand it very thoroughly. weekly quizzes that are one or two questions are easy if you pay attention in class and they help your grade a lot. he reviews before the quiz, so the only thing you have to do really is just the homework assignments. tests are not too difficult. he is always willing to help or go over things until you get it, extremely helpful, and really just an all around great guy. DO ANYTHING YOU CAN TO TAKE HIS CLASS AND YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.  - Grade In Class:B+
