Comments:3304 - This class is freaking awesome. Mainly all because of Dr. Wilkinson. This guy is brilliant. He is Australian and has a badass accent. I can listen to him talk all day. You’re def going to look forward on going to class. Everything you learn is going to be very NEW for the majority of class so it will be somewhat confusing at times but Tax is not bad at all. He LOVES to call on people randomly asking questions in class so do not doze off but its nothing serious if you don’t know the answer to the question he is asking. Def way easier than Intermediate. His class is composed of quizzes, tests, and a tax return project. There is NO homework which I am a huge fan of. The quizzes were quite tricky and never made a 100 on them. The test weren’t bad. The tests only count for 15% and final was 30% so a lot of your grade hangs on the final exam. There is this tax return project which takes a while to do from what I heard. I didn’t have to do it because I did an alternate assignment which was volunteering doing tax returns in the Waco community and this was much better. If you have the time to do the VITA program do it. He only allows 3 people from each class to do it. Obviously this program is for students who take this in the spring semester during tax season. Overall amazing professor and been one of the better classes I have taken at Baylor. Def my favorite class of the accounting core so far. I promise you will love him and the girls will LOVEEE him. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3304 - LOVED this class..... I almost wanted to go tax, until the tax return project. It was miserably long and hard! Take good notes in the class, and don't get lost in brett's australian accent! ;) All the tests and quizzes are pretty straightforward & there isn't any real homework! I'd take him again in a heartbeat. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:Acc 3304 - I got less than B's on all tests, but ended up with an A because I did well on the homework, and quizzes and got an A on the final which is weighted a lot. His class is frustrating because of no handouts or slides. You have to write everything down. However, his class was entertaining and he kept it interesting. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3304 - Wilkinson is OK at best. Unlike the other tax professor and all other accounting professors... he does not give you handouts, notes, slides or anything. You spend the entire class scribbling down things you don't understand. He also LOVES to call on people. Some people get called on everyday at "random". It is also very hard to tell what chapter/concepts the test will be weighted to... several times a topic barely discussed in class will show up a lot on exams. The tax returns took more than 10 hours each, and are worth a measly 5%. Near impossible to get a 100 on a quiz. Homework helps. Overall... class is hard and professor not that great. I wished everyday that I had taken Thomasson. - Grade In Class:B
Comments:ACC3304 - Im in his class now... I hate tax but he is one of the best teachers! If you are good at tax, you will freaken love his class. If you are not... Then you will just like Dr. W. I go to his office almost everyday and talk about sports and such. He is a great guys. Take Wilkinson if you can. - Grade In Class:C+
Comments:3304 - Dr. Wilkinson is an excellent lecturer, he even manages to make Federal Taxation tolerable. He gives numerous quizzes, tests, and projects which spreads your grade around nicely. He's always ready to address your concerns and responds to your questions with lightning speed. Plus he's Australian so he's fun to listen to. - Grade In Class:A
