*A 5 star workload is an easy workload; a 3 star is average; whereas a 1 star workload is extremely hard.
Comments:American Lit - Pretty easy class some big projects but definitely easier than what my friends were doing - Grade In Class:A
Comments:English 2301 - Honestly, this class was pretty easy, but because i was very lazy with the reading i got an 88. There is weekly homework assignments that is a paragrpah over the readings, and weekly 10 question quizzes over the readings, 2 papers and 2 tests. Her grade scale is A: 93-100 A-:90-92 B+: 87-89 and B: 83-86. The quizzes are 10 ish questions and are very straightforward...I would just watch youtube summaries and would pass the quizzes and tests. I literally wrote an essay the night before and was able to get a 92 so yipiee! She also posts thorough study guides, and help to write your essays. She would also give thorough feedback on your essays so you know how to improve for the next one. I will say tho that the classes are so so boring because it is literally just discussion based on the reading. Very sweet person overall and pretty understanding. - Grade In Class:B
Comments:1310 ONLINE LATE START - Let me just start this with she is biased. The average on every assignment was a 60-70. Three main papers (the last one is 13 pages), but daily assignments that take your entire life. Never watched her lecture videos after the first week because they were made for 2 year olds; she talks down to you. Was not a fan of her or the class, and it was not an easy A to get. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2301 - This will be an easy A if you're willing to put in a little work. She assigns daily reading and homework. The homework is usually a response that is about a paragraph long, which is pretty manageable if you don't mind a small amount of effort. The reading will be a poem or two that takes 5 minutes on some days, and other days you'll have to read a bit more (30 minutes - 1 hour). There are weekly quizzes over the reading that are multiple choice and very straightforward. The exams are a bit tougher since it covers such a big chunk of the readings, and they are a lot of writing. If you don't think you can write a decent 5 paragraph essay and answer some free response questions in a normal exam time, you might struggle on the exams. The best part about this class compared to other literature classes is she does not grade you for participation, so it is a good class to get other work done in if you feel like you don't need to listen to her lectures. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2310 - Am Lit Cultures- Prof. Webster is such an amazing person and is very sweet. She explains everything very well and helps you prepare for the 2 exams and 2 essays and even gives out study guides for EACH reading which is super helpful! She's not as difficult as other professors, and she is typically an easy grader as long as you do the work and put in the time. There are weekly quizzes over the readings but are super easy middle school type questions. The readings are light, mostly short stories and poems. Overall, I highly recommend taking her. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2301 british literature - she's nice, but if I could go back, I would not take her. She has too much daily work and the exams cover too many readings (around 15-18) per one exam. There was weekly quizzes to stay on top of. Her classes were really boring and I just found myself studying for other classes or online shopping during her class. You can get an A, but just know it'll actually take work. Not an easy A. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2301 - This class is not an easy A. Too much work. Daily reading. Weekly quizzes and her exams are kind of hard. I regret taking her. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2301 - Ms. Webster is a great choice for any of the prerequisite english courses required at Baylor. I had her at 8am for British Literature and had no trouble keeping up in lectures. Her first exam threw me for a loop but after I got the hang of her testing style I didn't score below a 90 on anything the rest of the semester. Her essays were actually fun to write as she allows for some creative freedom. Overall Webster is a solid choice! - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:2301 - It was a very boring class, but it was easy. Just read what is scheduled. The main grades are the essays, and tests are fine. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:2310 - She is very sweet but cancels class very often. She usually gives you an assignment instead. The final is extremely easy but she will tell you how she grew up poor and will make you feel bad when you don't answer questions. She will also say " I know you're here just for the credit" to make you feel sorry that you even took the class. She replies to emails right away which is always great, just be sure to read the. stories or at least use spark notes if you have a quiz. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:2301 - Mrs. Webster was an amazing professor. She choses reading materials that are actually interesting to read and makes the older material easy to understand. There is pretty little weekly work and so long as you look at the actual material and not just online reviews then you will be fine. The tests aren't hard so long as you are at class every day. It sounds like a lot of work but it is really easy especially compared to a lot of other British Lit classes. If you can, take her for British Lit. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1304 - Ms.Webster is a great professor. She does not give out easy A's, but if you work with her and do the work she expects of you, you should do well in her class. She was pretty much always available and very helpful when I had questions. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:English 1304 - Made an A- in the class during the summer and I'm not the greatest at writing. Helped throughout the semester improve our writing skills and kept us engaged. A decent amount of assignments and writing but nothing too difficult. Would highly recommend - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1304 - I can't understand why Ms. Webster has such a good rating now. I am taking her 1304 summer class, and she seems like an incredibly nice person - but, she is on my list of top 5 worst professors I’ve had at Baylor. The first 30 minutes of each class is devoted to talking… about anything… This is a complete waste of time. We get out most days 15 minutes early. The remaining 45 minutes is talking about a certain reading or assignment. The entire class is a waste of time and money. Do not take her. She takes a significant amount of points off your assignments over tiny, insignificant things – death to your grade by a thousand cuts. She has daily assignments that go toward major assignments, but she doesn’t have a justification for her grading. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:ENG 1304 - Ms. Webster’s class has been by far my favorite college class thus far. She is a great, knowledgeable professor that makes lectures engaging and worthwhile. She grades fairly, has extensive office hours to help her students, and has a laid-back personality. For most, having an English class at 8 AM is a pain, but because Ms. Webster was the teacher, I looked forward to waking up early each day. This course basically expands the process of writing a 9-11 page research paper to occupy an entire semester, so time is definitely abundant. Because this course is a writing class, there will be a substantial amount of writing, such as source reviews, a topic proposal, and a proposal, but all these assignments are useful for creating your final research paper. There are no tests besides the final, but the writing assignments are what will comprise most of the grades. After turning in the research paper at the end of the semester, the final for my class involved a class discussion followed by an individual response to some questions she prepared. The final requires no outside study prep and was a relief for me as I had several other difficult finals. Ms. Webster’s lectures were my favorite part about the class. Most days, everyone would talk for most the class period about some topic in the news or on someone’s mind, and I rarely ever took notes. Class time was often funny, entertaining, and laid-back, but other times, Ms. Webster would give us advice on school and life that made me respect her as a professor and a person. She cares about her students and wants them to succeed. Please take Ms. Webster for ENG 1304 or one of her other classes such as Brit Lit; I guarantee you will enjoy it. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1302 - This is an easy A class. She grades so easily I wrote all my papers either the night before they were due or right before class and pulled out a high B+. She is also really funny which makes the class so much more enjoyable. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:2301 - She is really nice. Most of the books you can look up on Sparknotes or watch the movie and get away with it. Tests were really easy, almost no quizzes, and the tests were mostly essay form. As long as you know what you're talking about, you should come out with an A. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1304-research - I had her after my teacher had a baby. She really made the class way easier than my previous teacher. Take her. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:1304 - She was an O.K. english, teacher, I would recommend taking somebody else for 1304, but definitely survivable to get the credit. - Grade In Class:B
Comments:1304 - I do not recommend taking Ms. Webster. She is a nice woman and she tries somewhat to help you, but she treats everyone like they are english majors and so expects work from you to be almost as good as hers. She offers extra credit which really helps and gives deadlines which is helpful, but she grades extremely hard and has very high standards. SHe tries to help you if you go to her, but the help isn't specific and you have to figure out exactly what advice she was giving you. Don't expect A's even if you worked really hard and went to her multiple times. I got an A in 1302 but this class was just asking too much for a required course. - Grade In Class:B
Comments:1304 - enjoyable class, lots of open discussion. great extra credit opportunities. :) - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1304 - Mrs. Webster was really not too bad. She assigns more work than a normal english class. There is a big research paper for the second half of the class and she assigns plenty of deadlines and they are pretty helpful. the only complaint is that if you don't get all of your homework done, then it will affect the grade you recieve for your paper that unit. - Grade In Class:B
