Comments:ENV 1301 - Class with Song Gao will be one of the best experiences at Baylor you will have! He's the most personable instructor I've ever had, and his class is EASY, FUN, and you actually learn, too. He shows lots of videos and comes up with lots of creative ways to never make class boring. The tests are more than manageable, and there is one group project, so he is highly highly recommended.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1301 - If you have to take ENV 1301 then pick Song Gao. There are rarely any afterclass assignment and he tells you what essay and short answer questions will be on the exams. He also has funny stories about his time in China and we watched YouTube videos almost everyday, they were educational. One group project, isnt hard at all.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:ENV 1301 - Song is really cool. He kind of tries too hard to be “cool” but that’s what makes him great haha. His lectures are long and boring but he shows lots of clips and has interesting class discussions. You’re really going to need to study a lot for his tests but he gives you all the questions for the short answer and essays. He gives a lot of in-class assignments which help boost your grade. The project at the end of the semester will also boost your grade a lot. His quizzes are hard but once you get used to them it gets a lot easier. If you hate science take him!! You won’t regret it, this is an interesting class and Song is great.   - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1301 - Song is an awesome guy. His class consist of three tests, one being the final. Before every test he tells you the possible essay and short answer questions that will be on the test, and he gives you the page number too. The multiple choice is the hard part on his test. Almost every class he shows and environmental video or something about china youtube video. He one time in class showed us the "I love college" music video. He is a lot of fun during class and is not like most professor, he's laid back and likes to chat with everyone. You have some inclass assignments which are usually opinion stuff so you can a 100 just for doing it. Some outside assignments that are super easy. He also gives LOTS of extra credit. I enjoyed going to the class very much because it was a lot of fun and I too would consider Song a friend.   - Grade In Class:B

Comments:1301 - Mr. Gao began our very first class by showing us his favorite comedian (Russel Peters) on YouTube. He told us about his life in China and allowed us to ask any questions about himself. He is very friendly and can easily relate to college students. Song Gao wants the students to be at a peer-to-peer level with him, seeing as how he really and truly cares about each of his students. Thus said, he wants everyone to make an AT LEAST a B. About half the class made A's. He offers numerous extra-credit opportunities which involve helping to recycle at Baylor home games. He used to give quizzes every other class to make sure we were doing the reading. But, in essense, these quizzes really helped in preparing for the tests. Now, before the tests, he takes the Env. book, and TELLS us which topics are going to be on the test. I admit, the tests can be a bit lengthy (MC, Short Answer, Essay, T/F), but if you read the text, just like in any other college course, you will do fine. Mr. Gao is very passionate in Environmental Issues. He is one if the nicest teachers at Baylor. Anyone, whether you are in terested in Env or not, should take his course.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1301 - One of the best teachers I have ever had! He is very amicable with the students and is willing to help with any problems that might arise. His tests are not hard if you study for them, and he goes over many of the multiple choice/short answer questions in class. I HIGHLY recommend taking him if you can. I usually hate science classes, but he made it really interesting and I always looked forward to his class!   - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1301 - A fantastic teacher! Very personable with the students and understands college students schedules. His tests are multiple choice, short answer, and essay but he goes over the short answer and essay questions before the test so if you study ahead of time the tests are easy. Take him if you can!  - Grade In Class:B+
