Comments:2303.H1 - TimTom is an absolutely fantastic professor. He explains everything very clearly and gives students countless opportunities to ask questions. He's also extremely patient and understanding if asked to review the material again. Additionally, he's friendly and approachable - his office hours are very convenient and he really likes to help his students. He also allows students to text him if they have questions! He gives some online HW (which you can repeat until you get a perfect score!) and he goes over all written HW in class. He also posts practice exams on Blackboard, which are a very good representation of the actual tests. As long as you pay attention in class and do the HW, its not that tough. If you have to take Financial Accounting, TAKE TIMTOM!!! It is absolutely worth it!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Financial Accounting - Hands down the best professor I had at Baylor. His class times are actually helpful to learning material, unlike 80% of classes I've taken. He makes sure you are prepared for the exams and will bend over backwards to help you outside of the classroom. Great teacher and even better person.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ACC 2303 Honors - Great Prof. He wants you to succeed and makes an uninteresting subject tolerable. I would definitely take him again for managerial if I had the option. Utilize his office hours in order to better understand the material!!!!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ACC 2303 Honors - Professor Thomasson is a great professor! I had never studied Accounting before, but after a couple classes with him, I really felt comfortable with the class and the material. In his class, it definitely helps to keep up with the reading, and then he will review the content in class. Homework assignments were helpful in understanding the content, albeit a little tedious at times. The tests were a fair measure of the material, and he often would give extra credit assignments for the tests! He'd often give huge hints as to what exactly would be on the tests. Also, he is a very personable and entertaining guy - I really enjoyed getting to know him as a person. I will definitely miss Professor "Tim Tom." I would take him again in a heartbeat!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Accounting - FANTASTIC PERSON AND A GREAT TEACHER. I suck at accounting but he worked with me all the way. He is a class-act guy and a teacher loves Baylor and wants the best for his students. I would recommend him in a heartbeat.  - Grade In Class:C+

Comments:2303 - ONE OF THE BEST PROFESSORS! He hints at what will not only be on your tests but also the final. The online homework that is due weekly is easy and as long as you make an honest attempt you get credit. He stops frequently during class to make sure there are no questions and explains the material thoroughly. He has a sense of humor, which helps the class go by faster. He has a lot of office hours and if you go talk to him he explains it until you understand. Would recommend him to anyone, disappointed he doesn't teach Managerial.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2303 - I'm so glad I took Thomasson. He goes over all the information you need to know thoroughly and sometimes even hints at what will be on the tests saying "you may see something similar to this in the near future." I was not excited about taking Accounting, but I actually enjoyed it for the most part. Class went by pretty fast because you were actually working problems with him instead of just listening to him lecture, which I think really helps the material stick. If you have the opportunity to take him, you definitely should!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Corporate Tax - He is one of the nicest and most respectful professors I have ever had at Baylor. He assigns HW almost every night, but he goes over it in class the next day. Very available, and he even lets us text him questions before tests. You have to take him for corporate tax, but it's a great time (as great as tax can be at 8 AM), and you will learn lots of stuff from him.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ACC 2303 - Mr. Thomasson is one of the best professors I have ever had. Accounting is a boring class, but he makes it bearable. He's a very nice guy and actually pretty funny. He goes through the material very thoroughly and does tons of examples. There isn't much homework, but it is actually pretty helpful. During the lecture he will tell exact problems and questions that will be on the exams. He truly wants everybody to do well and pass the exams. I would highly recommend taking him.  - Grade In Class:A

The best part about him is that he actually does teach you...this is not just a blowoff class...but he explains everything in such a way that you understand it really well so it just is naturally easy. I am an accounting major and I think the best thing that has prepared me for being an accounting major is taking this class and having a really good base. Comments:2303 - He is the best financial accounting teacher on campus. He explains material very well and he prepares ready for departmental finals though his tests are not hard at all. His class is not boring at all. TAKE HIM!! He can definitely lay a good accounting foundation for you!!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2303 - Mr. Thomasson is, without any shadow of a doubt, the best Financial Accounting professor to take if you want to learn the material thoroughly without having to worry about stupid "trick questions" on your exams. My understanding is that a lot of the accounting professors are sort of evil in their testing style, writing questions designed to throw you off. Thomasson's tests are really difficult, but that's because accounting is really difficult. However, Thomasson's class average is usually around 78, whereas other teachers' class averages are usually around 60. The reason for this is that Thomasson provides countless practice problems for you to do, covering every single topic possible on his exams, so if you put in the hours and hours to study them and practice them, you will master his exams (not because they're easy, but because he made becoming an expert on the material very possible). Also, he offers an extra credit project before each exam worth four points on the exam upon completion. In class, he explains everything from the very beginning and doesn't ever skip any steps. He is literally what everyone thinks of when they think of the "perfect professor:" he is no harder than anyone else, he just is more accessible and provides more practice problems than any other teacher. There's a reason his classes fill up first: he is just that great. Not to mention the fact that he makes me crack up with his, frankly hilarious, jokes every TR morning at 8 AM. Great man, great teacher, very helpful, take Thomasson for Financial Accounting if you can manage to squeeze into one of his packed classes.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2303 - Amazing teacher, very nice, and pretty funny at times. His teaching is VERY thorough and he is passionate in what he does. If you do all the assignments, practice quizes/ test, and attend all of his lectures, you should be able to make an A.   - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:ACC5363 - Mr. Thomasson is a really, really nice professor. Very approachable and easy to ask questions to. The workload is really not that bad either. He wants you to learn the material, but he won't beat you over the head with it.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:5361 - Mr. Thomasson is seriously one of the best professors ever. He is a great teacher and he really cares whether his students understand the material he teaches. He teaches various levels of accounting classes and I hear he is good at every level. He's super laid back and kind and he doesn't take himself too seriously. I learned a great deal from his class and I'd definitely chose to have him as a professor again.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:5340 - Dr. Thomasson is a wonderful teacher with a friendly, easygoing personality. He provides really useful slides and examples for every chapter. The homework improves your understanding of the important concepts. He is always willing to answer questions or meet with you outside of class to make sure you know the material.
