Comments:5340 - Great guy. Not a tax person and you don't need to be one for this class. Never had too much work from this class - no tests, just ~10 modules with a case and online assessment for each module and 2 group projects. Nothing ever took more than a couple hours.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2303 - TAKE HIM!!! He normally doesn't teach financial accounting so I was so lucky to have him teach our class, if he ever is an option for financial accounting do yourself a favor and take him. He truly cares about each student and wants you to succeed, and is very helpful when you reach out to him with questions. There are four exams (and a final) and if you do the homework for each exam you get five extra credit points. Professor Thomasson is one of my favorite professors and I couldn't recommend him more!!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:5340 - TIM THOM IS THE G.O.A.T. I hate tax but took this class just because I knew he's the best guy to teach it. Tests aren't easy, but his notes are A+ and if you do your work and try to learn the material odds are you'll get an A. Seriously such a funny guy with a ton of relevant work experience to give you a window into real world accounting.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:All ACC classes - This guy is the reason I became an Accounting major. I have taken him since 2303 and have since taken him for tax and will be taking him for multiple classes in grad school. He is one of the nicest and quirkiest guys you will meet. He really wants everyone to learn the material and will spend extra time with you to make sure you understand it. You can go to him with any question you have. He is the accounting adviser so he may not be available all the time, but he is very good about emailing back quickly. If you can, I highly suggest taking him.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2302 - Tim Thom is my favorite teacher I have taken at Baylor. The outlines he makes for you are perfect and all you have to do is pay attention and fill them in because he is an amazing teacher. He truly cares about you and will pull jokes with anyone in the class. He gives 5 extra credit points from doing easy practice problems before each test. He makes sure you know the material and doesn't make his tests hard. If you understand it and review his outlines you will make an A. Best and easiest accounting professor at Baylor!!!!!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2303 - TAKE HIM. Tim Tom is one of the best professors I have ever had. He makes the class SO interesting and fun, and he jokes around a lot, but he also has a fantastic teaching style and is so patient when people ask questions. I had to miss a week of class when I had surgery, and he was so good about making sure I was caught up and letting me turn in things a little late (which some of my other professors didn't do). It is honestly because of Thomasson that I decided to major in accounting, and the class all makes sense to me because of him. His office hours are also super great, and there has never been a time when I couldn't make it one day. The tests are straight from the notes and from the book, so make sure you study those really hard, and work out a LOT of practice problems. One thing that Thomasson does really well is he makes sure that you understand the content of the course, not just memorize it, and that helps immensely on the tests. Also, he gives TONS of extra credit for every chapter, and they go straight to the tests! TAKE TIM TOM HE IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Tax - This class was great! I learned a TON, and it was a pretty easy A. Homework is completion, and the tax return project is actually really easy. There were 3 tests, each of which got harder. The first test is a piece of cake. Final was reasonable, but the workout problem is pretty hard (it was a tax return). I never had to read the book or anything because his notes were so good. Tim Tom brings a lot of energy to class and makes learning tax interesting!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2303 - I thought Professor Thomasson was a great accounting teacher. I would definitely recommend taking him if you are able. Homework is relatively often, but never takes more than 45 minutes to complete. The study guides for the tests really help and I felt prepared for the tests. He offers a lot of extra credit, which ultimately helped get me an A. My biggest recommendation is to not miss class. For the first 2 tests I didn't miss any class and did really well. I later missed some classes and got really behind, and it showed on my grades. Accounting is not an easy course to catch up in. If you ever need help though, Thomasson is more than happy to explain everything to you if you go to office hours!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2303 - Professor Thomasson is GREAT. There is homework but it is basically participation credit. His tests are fairly easy but what makes this class a breeze is the insane amount of extra credit he offers. Take Thomasson if you can.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2303.H1 - TimTom is an absolutely fantastic professor. He explains everything very clearly and gives students countless opportunities to ask questions. He's also extremely patient and understanding if asked to review the material again. Additionally, he's friendly and approachable - his office hours are very convenient and he really likes to help his students. He also allows students to text him if they have questions! He gives some online HW (which you can repeat until you get a perfect score!) and he goes over all written HW in class. He also posts practice exams on Blackboard, which are a very good representation of the actual tests. As long as you pay attention in class and do the HW, its not that tough. If you have to take Financial Accounting, TAKE TIMTOM!!! It is absolutely worth it!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Financial Accounting - Hands down the best professor I had at Baylor. His class times are actually helpful to learning material, unlike 80% of classes I've taken. He makes sure you are prepared for the exams and will bend over backwards to help you outside of the classroom. Great teacher and even better person.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ACC 2303 Honors - Professor Thomasson is a great professor! I had never studied Accounting before, but after a couple classes with him, I really felt comfortable with the class and the material. In his class, it definitely helps to keep up with the reading, and then he will review the content in class. Homework assignments were helpful in understanding the content, albeit a little tedious at times. The tests were a fair measure of the material, and he often would give extra credit assignments for the tests! He'd often give huge hints as to what exactly would be on the tests. Also, he is a very personable and entertaining guy - I really enjoyed getting to know him as a person. I will definitely miss Professor "Tim Tom." I would take him again in a heartbeat!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2303 - ONE OF THE BEST PROFESSORS! He hints at what will not only be on your tests but also the final. The online homework that is due weekly is easy and as long as you make an honest attempt you get credit. He stops frequently during class to make sure there are no questions and explains the material thoroughly. He has a sense of humor, which helps the class go by faster. He has a lot of office hours and if you go talk to him he explains it until you understand. Would recommend him to anyone, disappointed he doesn't teach Managerial.  - Grade In Class:A

He goes over all the information you need to know thoroughly and sometimes even hints at what will be on the tests saying "you may see something similar to this in the near future." I was not excited about taking Accounting, but I actually enjoyed it for the most part. Class went by pretty fast because you were actually working problems with him instead of just listening to him lecture, which I think really helps the material stick. If you have the opportunity to take him, you definitely should!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Corporate Tax - He is one of the nicest and most respectful professors I have ever had at Baylor. He assigns HW almost every night, but he goes over it in class the next day. Very available, and he even lets us text him questions before tests. You have to take him for corporate tax, but it's a great time (as great as tax can be at 8 AM), and you will learn lots of stuff from him.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ACC 2303 - Mr. Thomasson is one of the best professors I have ever had. Accounting is a boring class, but he makes it bearable. He's a very nice guy and actually pretty funny. He goes through the material very thoroughly and does tons of examples. There isn't much homework, but it is actually pretty helpful. During the lecture he will tell exact problems and questions that will be on the exams. He truly wants everybody to do well and pass the exams. Comments:2303 - Mr. Thomasson is, without any shadow of a doubt, the best Financial Accounting professor to take if you want to learn the material thoroughly without having to worry about stupid "trick questions" on your exams. My understanding is that a lot of the accounting professors are sort of evil in their testing style, writing questions designed to throw you off. Thomasson's tests are really difficult, but that's because accounting is really difficult. However, Thomasson's class average is usually around 78, whereas other teachers' class averages are usually around 60. The reason for this is that Thomasson provides countless practice problems for you to do, covering every single topic possible on his exams, so if you put in the hours and hours to study them and practice them, you will master his exams (not because they're easy, but because he made becoming an expert on the material very possible). Also, he offers an extra credit project before each exam worth four points on the exam upon completion. In class, he explains everything from the very beginning and doesn't ever skip any steps. He is literally what everyone thinks of when they think of the "perfect professor:" he is no harder than anyone else, he just is more accessible and provides more practice problems than any other teacher. There's a reason his classes fill up first: he is just that great. Not to mention the fact that he makes me crack up with his, frankly hilarious, jokes every TR morning at 8 AM. Great man, great teacher, very helpful, take Thomasson for Financial Accounting if you can manage to squeeze into one of his packed classes.  - Grade In Class:A
