Comments:2302 - Ah, where to begin. Phil Young is not merely a professor. He is a constellation of intellect, warmth, and cardigan-wrapped charm. Enrolling in his class was the best decision I’ve made all year, perhaps even in my entire scholarly existence. Yes, QBA is a subject built of numbers and logic, cold and unfeeling at first glance—yet in his hands, it becomes something gentle, something almost tender. And then there is the fuzzy ring. A quiet symbol of his beautiful duality: the serious academic who commands the room, and the goofball who reminds us that joy has a place even in statistics. The way his cardigans drape over the back of his chair should be studied in literature courses. Every lecture feels like stepping into a cozy café where knowledge is served warm and with care. His exams are merciful, his teaching generous, his heart clearly inclined toward student success. He tells you exactly what you need to know, then blesses you with bonus points as if scattering rose petals along your academic path. It is impossible not to feel supported. Impossible not to feel seen. Possibly impossible not to fall just a little bit in love. Do I understand every formula? Eventually. Did I leave every class feeling lighter than when I entered? Always. QBA may be boring in theory but under his guidance, it becomes a love story. 10/10 professor. A dream in cardigans. A fuzzy-ringed legend.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:QBA 2302 - Professor Young is quite literally the best professor I have ever had. He explains everything perfectly and for those who leave bad reviews just remember your grade can be seen, those who got C’s and D’s give him bad reviews because y’all are slow and not smart enough. The reviews are absurd and not true he is witty, funny, loves baseball, and overall really kind. He posts everything and it’s your fault if you don’t look. DO NOT BLAME HIM FOR YOUR ACTIONS! It’s not hard to get an A just sit in the front, listen, and if you’re concerned for your grade go after class to talk to him. Stop being mean and disrespectful. And I hope your moms are disappointed.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2302 - The reviews make this class seem so much worse than it is. Taking it later in the day made it harder to pay attention as his lecturing is a bit repetitive and boring. But he always answered emails communicated effectively and waits till about 2 weeks out to choose a date for test to avoid other big test days. You control your grade in the class there was only 7 homeworks that are a bit long but not bad, and the quizzes are not bad especially if you look over notes and do the practices provided. Overall he's not some amazing teacher but he is nowhere near as bad as his scores.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2302 - Holly crap this class should have never been this hard. I would highly encourage you not to take this class at Baylor or take it with a different professor. Dr. Young is super nice, but his class is not so nice to your GPA. Most of your grade is from exams. He does have homework occasionally. When do get the homework it’s typically 8 pages long and due the next class day. He does not take late work so there is no point in missing his class. If you ever need help with your homework you can go to his office hours, and he can help you and will further explain it to you. His exams are tuff. You take them in a computer lab so you can use Excel and/or JMP (statistic software). He has a required textbook but we never used it so I would recommend not buying even if he says it’s required. I wish he made PowerPoints to engage with his student more, instead he has a pdf document that he reads and it’s not very helpful. A lot of people fight for their life from falling asleep in his class. He is also a not technology classroom unless you have a iPad with the pencil thing. 5% of your grade is called a jerk grade. This is a very biased grade and based if he likes you or not. If you get on your phone, miss class, or fall asleep it will mess with your jerk grade.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:2302 - Don't let Professor Young's reviews scare you away from taking this class. I'm not sure why his ratings are as low as they are. He is a very good teacher. He is clearly passionate about statistics, and has a deep understanding of the subject. However, he is also able to explain it clearly and understandably to someone with no prior stats experience (me). The workload in the class is not very large, much less so than some other reviews convey. There were 10 quizzes (one of which was extra credit), 6 homework assignments and 3 exams (including the final). The quizzes took ~30 minutes to study for and ~15 minutes to take. The homework assignments ranged from 30 to 90 minutes in length, usually on the upper end of that range. However, they were few and far between, and we had ample time to complete each of them. The class was not very difficult, either. The quizzes were on Canvas and usually over the main topics we learned that week. The homeworks were a completion grade, so as long as you did them it was a free 100 for 15% of your grade. The exams were also not very difficult, and he gave us material that showed exactly what would be on them. He also had a participation grade (5% overall) that everyone in my section got a 100 on. The only genuine complaint from the previous reviews is that he is more strict than average on technology use and leaving in the middle of class. However, this really never came up except for an occasional "please get off your phones." It is also possible that the class used to be more difficult but has since been adjusted to be easier. Either way, overall, I think Professor Young's class is a great option for QBA 2302.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2302 - Professor Young explains the material really well, and his homework and quizzes align closely with what we go over in class. The homework assignments are satisfying to work through if you understand the concepts, though they do take around 1–2 hours each to complete so they're a time commitment. For exams, he doesn’t set the dates until about a week or two in advance to avoid overlapping with other exams, which is thoughtful, but it can be frustrating if you prefer more time to plan and study ahead. When it comes to the exams, though, they’re noticeably tougher and often feel disconnected from what we’ve practiced. The questions are worded in a way that can be confusing, almost like they’re designed to trip you up, and from my experience there’s often not enough time to finish. He doesn’t offer a curve on the exams, even if the average score is low, and there’s no extra credit, so there aren’t many ways to make up points if you need them. The one plus is that he’ll replace your lowest exam grade if you score higher on the final, which helps a little.  - Grade In Class:D

Comments:2302 - Dr. Young's reviews should not be so negative. Dr. Young is VERY passionate about what he teaches - he loves statistics! He provides printable notes that allow you to fill in the blank as he teaches. There are about 8 homework assignments the whole year, most of them towards the end of the semester. These are slightly tedious, but fortunately there is only 8. The quizzes are take home, and extremely easy if you look over your notes. There are 3 exams overall (20% each), including the final. If you put forth effort into studying, there is no reason why you shouldn't do well. I was somewhat lackadaisical about this class, so my Exam grades were 88, 72, and 96. I thought I was going to get a B in the class, but I didn't realize that your final exam grade also replaces your lowest exam grade, so my 72 also became a 96. Not a horrible class, Dr. Young is a sweet dude!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:qba2302 - Phil Young is by far the worst professor I've encountered at Baylor. He is rude, unhelpful, sassy, and is so boring. He is so rude during office hours & gives so much sass to students during class rather than actual answers. He'll respond "it's in your notes, like I said before, I already said that, etc." in response to a student's question. Phil Young shouldn't teach. My friends in other QBA2302 classes, Cheryl Kay, have A's while my classmates are struggling to pass. He gives off the vibes that he's lonely with no friends, family, or children to talk to or give him love so he takes it out on his students.  - Grade In Class:C+

Comments:QBA 2302 - I have absolutely no idea how this man's ratings are as high as they are. He is by far the WORST professor I have ever had at Baylor. I really tried to enjoy class in the slightest, but Phil Young makes class absolutely unbearable. He doesn't post PowerPoints or anything similar for lectures. In fact, his lectures only consist of him projecting himself writing on the screen on what he calls "class notes" but then refuses to post them on Canvas. So, even if you went to class, you can kiss studying anything useful goodbye. This class shouldn't be very difficult, but Professor Young goes out of his way to make it almost impossible if you don't have any prior statistics experience. Also, his homework assignments later in the semester will take an upwards of 2-3 hours each to complete, and that's at least if you have somewhat of an idea of what you're doing. Also, the syllabus doesn't tell you when exams or quizzes will be. He will just randomly inform you the date of it a week or two in advance, which is just simply unacceptable. He acts like the only class we take is his, and to expect us to spend each day working on his class is just disrespectful. One time, I was sick the day of the exam and was scheduled to take it in his office a few days later. I showed up, but he literally never did, nor did he even inform me that he wouldn't be there. In my class, our second exam average was a 62%. Like you have to be kidding. And then, instead of apologizing to the class and admitting there was clearly something wrong with his teaching style, he told us that it was our fault and that we weren't smart enough, and we needed to try harder. I HATE THIS MAN. Please I am begging you, DO NOT take his class, even if it's the last one available. It's better to stay on the waitlist for a while for literally any other professor. Long story short, I need therapy after being in this class.  - Grade In Class:C

Comments:2302 - Phil young is by far the worst professor I have ever had at Baylor. I have had the worst experience in his class. When our second exams came out and the average was low he proceeded to take 20 minutes out of class to call us stupid and it was our fault for not studying hard enough. I really wish I was making this up. please please please do not take this teacher. He really does talk for 90 min about completely unrelated topics. He is extremely rude, inconsiderate, and is not helpful in the slightest. The class itself isnt that complicated but his lectures made me dread going to class everyday. He makes the class much harder than it needs to be and teaches as if he were teaching a masters course. Please dont take him!  - Grade In Class:C

Comments:QBA 2302 - STAY AWAY. Phil is an unkind person who finds enjoyment through making snarky comments to students. He doesn't assign work super often, about once a week, but there are some assignments are 12 questions with 9 sub-questions. So essentially you're doing 100+ questions for one assignment. There are also weekly quizzes that are due on Friday at 3:30pm, he doesn't have a social life so you don't get to have one either. Phil gets annoyed when students ask clarifying questions. Super unhelpful, he just reads off his powerpoints and class couldn't be any more boring. I am more awake in my 8am accounting class than I am in QBA at 2pm. He overcomplicates things and likes to brag about having an MBA and PHD (or whatever he has, I've stopped listening to him blabbering). Do not take Phil Young, he is known as the hardest QBA 1 prof, and I wish I knew that before taking him. I don't know what I will end up with in the class but am estimating a C+.  - Grade In Class:C+

Date: 2023-05-03

Comments:QBA 2303 - Least favorite prof @ Baylor. All he did was read off his powerpoints in class in a monotone voice. Extremely unhelpful and rude. Made an account just to warn everyone. Don't do it to yourself, just wait till the next semester and take another professor.  - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2022-11-03

Comments:2302 - He will read his class notes word for word in lecture and his notes are bland and lack depth. This material is not hard he just makes it hard to pay attention. Homework and quizzes are a pain because it is the same questions over and over again. I learned little and do not recommend him.  - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2022-11-02

Comments:2302 - Wow. Please do not take this professor. He reads word for word from a document, so class is absolutely useless. I see my entire class struggle to stay awake daily. His homework comes with zero instruction so good luck. If you dont staple your work, there goes 10 points on your grade. That is the type of terrible teacher this man is. He gives what is called a "Jerk" grade. This means if you Arnt a jerk then you get a 100! Like come on man.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2022-04-19

Comments:QBA - Phil Young is the single worst professor I've had and I have no idea how this man has a job. Everything we do in class is completely unrelated to the homework. He has a big word document where he just reads off for 90 minutes and it is the most painfully boring class experience of my life. Avoid this class.  - Grade In Class:C+

Date: 2022-04-19

Comments:QBA 2302 - I have not finished the course yet but wanted to give a review because his last reviews did not give much information about the style of his course. Not a great professor, but not difficult. His notes are typed and he just read off them in class. There are 3 tests (including the final) that are "cumulative", but really aren't. He gives a test review guide the class before the test that has all the concepts you need to know- including what is cumulative from the last test. He does not give test dates at the beginning of the semester, but rather asks the class to look at their other classes, to avoid having multiple tests on one day. As a planner, I don't like it, but I'll give him props for being considerate of us having other classes. My least favorite part of this class is the homework. There is no schedule and he gives it whenever and it will be due the next class. The concepts in this course are not very difficult, it is overall just a boring class. There are weekly quizzes, but they are not bad at all. You do not need a book for this course!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2022-03-23

Comments:2302 - This is one of the worst professors I have had so far at Baylor. In addition to the class being about as engaging as watching paint dry, the man picks very obvious favorites. He spends the entire class period "lecturing" (reading his own notes out loud for 75 minutes). He would inevitably get caught up in the weeds during every lecture on topics he never ended up testing us on. As a result, this class was so hard to study for. As for the workload, it wasn't too bad. We had about one homework assignment due a week, as well as a weekly quiz. Study these when preparing for the exams, not his lectures. Overall, this was frustrating class with an even more frustrating professor. Sidenote: this class is a "no technology zone" and you must take notes by hand.  - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2021-12-13

Comments:QBA 2303 - Quite literally the worst professor I have ever had. All he does is go over his notes the whole class that literally nothing to do with his homework or quizzes. I have never had such a hard time in a class and Phil is a terrible professor. I cannot stress this enough because I am extremely upset with him. What frustrates me the most is that he goes over the bare minimum of one concept and takes up the whole class time, and then throws something that is 10 times harder on the homework and quizzes. It would be helpful if maybe he went over problems in class instead of sitting there and telling us what a graph is. Do not take him if you want to spend all of your time trying to figure something that shouldn't be so hard.  - Grade In Class:DROP

Date: 2021-09-23

Comments:2302 - Honestly not sure how I got a B in this class. All he does is read his notes off slides, which are not even helpful in the first place. I do not know how his rating is so high. Everyone that I knew/studied in this class with got a C or lower. Do not take him. Not only will you not know anything that is going on, but your grades will be awful as well.  - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2020-06-23

Comments:2302 - If you want an A , you need to take Dr. Young's class. His class has 3 tests, weekly quizzes, and about 8 Homeworks which are pretty easy if you study the notes and additional study material. His notes are extremely important and do not absent during the day which has the quiz! His class is boring, but the knowledge is pretty easy to understanding and absorb. I do not know why his ratings are so low, but I definitely will give him five stars.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2020-05-15

Comments:QBA 2302 - I honestly do not know why these reviews are so good. I spent the entire semester thinking I had an A in this class and then my final grade was a B+. This was SO confusing and his grading is very weird. All he does in class is read over his notes to you out loud. He does not teach anything and when you ask him to explain it he does not help at all. He does not understand how to effectively teach and when I went to his office he was rude and not helpful. The HW was tedious and did not help when it came to the tests. The tests were way harder then I expected them to be for this class. This class is required for business students and is usually a breeze for everyone, unless you take this professor. Honestly do not take him if you don't want to waste your time studying for a class you will learn nothing in.  - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2020-05-11

Comments:QBA 2302 - This class was unique. I really enjoyed Dr. Young’s style of having typed notes and then working problems. The lectures are a little slow sometimes but the tests are exactly like the notes and there is bonus. There are only 2 tests and a final, which is nice. There isn’t much homework until the last month. There are weekly quizzes but they are pretty easy. My main complaint about this class was the 2 homework assignments the last three weeks of classes that took 2-3 hours each. He also assigns take home quizzes that are due the Friday before long breaks and assigns most of the homework that is due the Tuesday after long breaks (Fall break and Thanksgiving break for me) which was really annoying for some reason. He does cancel class occasionally if a holiday interrupts either his MWF or TTR classes, he will cancel the other one. He’s a really nice guy though. I would recommend. This was much easier than Financial Accounting, in my opinion.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2020-02-01

Comments:2302 - Dr. Young is a good person but the class is poorly structured. Material isn't explained well because he just reads off of his pre-typed notes. It's a hard class to pay attention in and statistics is already dull enough.  - Grade In Class:C

Date: 2019-12-05

Comments:QBA 2302 - First off let me just say that I created this account solely to rate professor Young. I’m not sure why his rating is anything below 90. This professor was one of my favorite professors so far at Baylor and I actually enjoyed his class. He taught the class very effectively in my opinion and provided all the material that you needed for the tests on his notes. The notes were EXACTLY like the test, so there should be no reason why you can’t do well in his class. I believe the people that rate him so low are the ones that are simply lazy and didn’t give as much effort as they could have in his class. If you apply an average amount of effort for this class you will do great. These other reviews are quite deceiving.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2019-09-05

Comments:2302 - Super nice guy. Very corny. This class sucks, but it's doable. Make sure to do the hw because it's completion. You don't really have to pay attention or even show up to class unless you have a quiz. All the notes are online. He says he doesn't bump but he did for me.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2018-12-11

Comments:2302 - This class is stupid. Everyone has to take it and I don't think a single person learned a thing from him teaching. There's no textbook and he lectures based off of notes he created. They are not helpful and leave you clueless for the HW that takes ages. Weekly quizzes are impossible come the end of the semester because no one knows how to do anything, and Phil is not very good at explaining material. Once he gets to JMP, RUN! That is the biggest joke of a program ever. Would have taken anyone else if I could have. Rating is way too high.  - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2018-12-04

Comments:QBA 2302 - Dr. Young is a good professor. His class is very boring but he loves the subject and is always around to help. Plus he gives a bonus on assignments halfway through the semester that really help your grade. His tests aren't easy but if you study there are only two tests so you'd be fine. I had to teach myself a lot because I fell asleep in class but overall it wasn't bad.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2018-11-15

Comments:QBA - Dr. Young is a very boring professor who does not give much leadway in his class. Do not take this class if you expect to learn very much or get an easy grade. I had to teach myself this entire class and was confused the whole time, i would take someone else  - Grade In Class:C+

Date: 2018-11-13

Comments:QBA 2302 - This class is so boring but an A is definitely attainable. Sitting through it every TR was horrible, but it was worth the fairly easy A. He likes to make sure the test doesn't conflict with your other tests which is very helpful, and he tells you what will be on all the tests. We had roughly 10 assignments all semester, which is reasonable if you ask me. He tends to overkill on question amount, but when you do one assignment every two weeks, that's what you'd expect from any professor. He's really really boring and goes very slowly, but like I said, it's probably worth the easy A to most people.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2018-04-14

Comments:2302 - Worst professor I've ever met in Baylor. There are only 3 classes I got a B, and this was one of them.Impossible handwriting, unfair grading system.  - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2018-04-12

Comments:QBA2306 - Dr. Young is a kind professor with very professional knowledge in this area, but one thing I have to say is that, dont be surprised if you cannot understand his handwriting in class. His handwriting is the most annoying thing throughout the semester. But the test grades are far better than I expect because they are not hard at all. If you study a little bit hard and you will get an A in his class. He've already made the test load least. Take him if you can!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2017-12-16

Comments:2302 - He explains the material well and tells you exactly what will be on his tests. Most of the homework was harder than the stuff we did in class, but if you go to office hours he will help you. The questions on the test are easier than the homework, so thats good. If you read through your notes and do some practice problems, you should do fine on his tests. The tests have more questions that are applications of vocab and concepts than actual problems you have to work out. The weekly quizzes are annoying, but they are a significant part of your grade so study for those. One of the only bad things about the class is his handwriting is awful. Overall, I would recommend taking Phil.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2017-11-29

Comments:2302 - Average teacher. Pretty much have to go to his office hours are learn by yourself to understand the material. The things he went over class did not seem to correlate with the homework we'd be assigned the next day. Not the worst teacher, but can definitely do better for sure.  - Grade In Class:C+

Date: 2017-11-15

Comments:QBA 2302 - Best QBA teacher. Class is a little tougher than some easier teachers but he curves your final grade quite a bit. He teaches you very well so it helps a lot in the second QBA as most of that class was review. Take him if you can.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2017-11-12

Comments:2302 - Dr. Young is a nice dude who teaches a boring class. QBA is boring, there is no way around it. However, I love Dr. Young! He really cares about his students and if you meet him halfway and apply yourself and go to office hours, you'll easily get an A or B. He really tries to make the class interesting and tells you exactly what is going to be on the test and does a good job of giving examples of test questions. Make sure you study and do well on the quizzes (in my opinion they're harder than the test) because if you do well on those the tests will be a breeze. Homework can be tedious because of the subject matter, but he never assigns a ridiculous amount. Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Young. He is a good professor and really nice man. I can't say enough about how helpful, kind, and encouraging he was when I struggled in his class.  - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2017-09-04

Comments:2302 - I'm going to list the pros and cons of being in Dr. Young's class. The pros are: 1) He tells you exactly what will be on the tests (sometimes he does for the quizzes, but not always), 2) He offers an extra credit question on the quizzes and tests, 3) The tests aren't too difficult if you have a basic understanding of the material, 4) The final replaces your lowest test score, and 5) He is not hard on the eyes. The con's are: 1) I do not think he is the best at explaining the material. He lectures by using a PowerPoint that he didn't even create, and it does not exactly correlate with his lectures, 2) The homework can be tedious, and 3) The quizzes are somewhat difficult and he gives them every week. I got a B in the class, which I probably did not deserve since I didn't put too much time and effort into this course or learning the material. However, he is a nice guy and if you apply yourself then you can easily get an A. He simplifies this course in a sense that he does not give out trick problems on the quizzes and tests. I highly recommend this guy if you are willing to put in some effort to understand the material and go to his office hours if you need help.   - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2017-05-08

Comments:2302 - Dr. Young exceeded my expectations. The bad reviews are very over the top. I was skeptical when entering his class but he always repeated key information and always asked for questions and did not leave anybody behind. During lectures he says "I could give you a question on the quiz or exam that sounds like this" then give multiple examples. He gives quizzes every Thursday over what he covered the last two lectures. The class before the exam he tells you every single concept and idea you need to review and/or know for each chapter that will be covered on the exam. The homework was time consuming but it's just a completion grade. GREAT professor. 10/10 would recommend.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2017-03-27

Comments:2302 - The guy below me is over exaggerating. Young really isn't bad. His comment made me nervous but I went ahead and took him.I'm hoping to come out with either a B+ or A. Young is cool and loves baseball. The class only consists of 3 tests, but you have a quiz almost every week, which is 6 +an extra at the end to replace one of them (sometimes it's take home). Those can be hard, but the tests are pretty easy as long as you study the notes, homework, and quizzes. He literally gives you everything you need to know for each test. And he writes the notes with you (starting after the first test). He can ramble sometimes, but I've learned a lot and I honestly would take him again for 2305. Sometimes he doesn't know what he did wrong, but he eventually figures it out. He posts the answers to the quizzes on line plus extra copies of the quizzes. His grader never grades the quizzes or homework in time for him to give back before the test. He likes to get to know people, he pretty much knows everyone in my classes name, so if your raise you hand he calls you by your name, which is super cool. Go to his office hours if you don't understand, because he will take the time to explain everything. I recommend taking him, he makes statistics easy to understand.  - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2016-11-15

Comments:2302 - DO NOT TAKE THIS GUY. I read the reviews and was convinced this was the right move me. I got about halfway through the first week, and in my head I was like "Congratulations you played yourself" He sucks. He rambles and rambles and rambles about useless nonsense for the whole class time. Then the test and quizzes comes around and it'll be nothing he talked about in class. He pulled questions out of thin air. I spent hours doing the math and then the whole test would be conceptual. Listen to me not these older ratings. I promise you he isn't good. DONT PLAY YOURSELF LIKE I DID. MAJOR KEY TO A GOOD GPA. AVOID  - Grade In Class:C

Comments:QBA 2302 - Definitely take him. There's no way to make Statistics interesting, but Dr. Young tries. He never left homework and his tests were straight off the notes, and he emphasizes on what he will put on the test. He's really helpful and understanding, I would definitely take him again  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:QBA 2303 - Dr. Young is a really good teacher. He explains things really well, and goes really slow and makes sure everyone understands. He gives you as much time on tests as you want and all his notes are fill in the blank. The class is easy. Take him!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2010-12-11

Comments:2302 - Don't listen to anyone else who says to take someone besides Dr. Young. You only have homework if you want to study or practice on your own and he's good at explaining it in class. You have quizzes throughout the semester but they're only worth five points and not terribly hard. Only three tests and they're all mult choice. Awesome guy and he still recognizes me out of class  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2302 - This class is ridiculously easy...just be careful during baseball season...we had quizzes when the red socks lost. The only thing sort of challenging are the quizzes, the tests are really easy.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2302 - Dr. Young has been one of my favorite teachers at Baylor! If you have a chance, take him. Dr. Young is a good teacher, he's funny and personable. QBA is a boring subject, but Dr. Young made the class interesting enough. We had no homework, but we did have a quiz every Friday. The tests were straightforward. The class is easy, and Dr. Young is great.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2302 - Phil Young is a funny, nice guy. He really does make the class fun at times and gives you a good laugh for the day. He has notes for you before each class of each chapter. Their not his notes though. Every friday you have a quiz that is 5 questions long and a bonus. Sometimes their multiple choice and sometimes their not. You have 3 tests and then a final. The final if it is higher than one of your tests grades can replace it. He gives you a list of things to study before each test the class before. I would recommend taking him for sure.   - Grade In Class:B

Comments:2302 - Great Teacher. DEFINITELY TAKE HIM! He always compares QBA to baseball or movies, so the class is constantly interesting. Come every friday for quizes, they're easy. Never studied till the day before tests and got A's. Take him-  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2302 - Professor Young is AMAZING! he loves teaching statistics. You have quizzes every friday, but as long as you pay attention and read the notes right before you should get 100's. He gives you a practice test before every test. You never have homework, but he gives you optional review problems. explains things really thoroughly and tests are all multiple choice. HIGHLY recommend. Best stats professor!  - Grade In Class:A
