Comments:4313 - Honestly, Dr. Damron is one of the best professors I have ever had at Baylor. She's always avaliable to help, doesn't overload on the work, and is so understanding when students are overwhelmed and will adjust the schedule to help students out. I have taken three other classes with her and I couldn't say enough good things.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3311 - TAKE HER! I took her nonverbal com class and it was a breeze. She opens the modules as you complete them so you can get way ahead easily. The course work is not bad at all! Her papers are straight froward and just require self reflection- if you follow the instructions and write the full amount its hard to get below an A on the papers. All her quizzes are lockdown but open book and note! Shes so nice and easy to learn from!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3311 - Jane Damron! She is such a rockstar and is my favorite professor at Baylor! She is well-organized and provides a clear syllabus for the course. She cares about her students and it is evident! This course is discussion based in class and also has quizzes and mini papers- but it is not overwhelming at all! easy A if you pay attention in class and stick to the guidelines of the papers.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Communications 1305 - Jane Dameron is a saint. She uses extremely clear examples, actively engages with the class, and was very understanding with every student that needed accommodations. I would take her again in a heartbeat.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3311 - She is so freaking nice I love her. She genuinely cares about both the subject matter and her students. Take interpersonal if you can; it's an amazing class (and I'm a STEM major and found it super interesting)  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:CSS 1305 - Dr. Damron is probably my favorite professor I had this semester at Baylor. I made an account on this website just to give her a review!! She was SO KIND and welcoming as a freshman just starting college. She structured the class really well in terms of how hybrid and in-person instruction was approached. The course assignments are fairly easy if you do the readings, quizzes are open book, and you write a few short essays. The NSE aspect of this course was especially helpful for adjusting to baylor this fall. She really cares about her students, has such a clear passion for what she teaches, and definitely embodies the type of professor I was hoping Baylor would have. Take this class!!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:CSS 3312 - Dr. Damron is hands down the best professor in the entire department. She's passionate about what she teaches and makes class fun. Every test is online via Canvas and she gives you everything you need to know via lecture. That means you actually have to come to class, but with a professor like her you won't want to miss! The practicums she assigns can seem tedious but are actually a fun way to use what you've learned outside of the class in a real life setting. I cannot recommend her enough as a professor and just as a person. Professors like Damron are what make the comm department so great. She's passionate about her students and it's always a joy to run into her outside of the classroom as well. There is no shortage of compliments for her. Whatever you do, take her classes!!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3311/3312 - One of the best professors I've had at Baylor. Genuinely cares that you understand the material. Minimal workload except for a big paper at the end of the course. Midterm and final are take home, but still require studying. The most interesting classes I've taken!! Loved her.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3304 - Nothing but praise for this class, and JD as a person. So helpful with any questions you have, lots of office hour availability, and super sweet and energetic personality in class. Workload wasn't as bad as I expected for 3000 level. Summing up: kind person, great style, a pleasure to attend.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3304 - She is just a dream professor. She is so nice, so caring, and so thoughtful. You can count on her to help if you need it, even though she has to finish her dissertation when she's not teaching. She does not assume that you know it all, even though you are a major. RECOMMEND.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3304 - There are simply not enough words to describe how awesome Professor Damron is! She truly is an asset to the Communications Department. I have had her for two courses so far and she is extremely intelligent in what she does and really cares about her students. She wants you to succeed and gives you every opportunity to do so especially with how many extra credit opportunities you can take advantage of. CSS 3304 or Small Group Communication is very task oriented but do not let that intimidate you. If you are uneasy about groups let me just say that she does a very good job at pairing people in teams that you will have cohesion with. It was surprisingly a lot of fun and not what I expected in a good way! It does require you to complete projects outside the classroom but I found that they were really fun and you will end up being close with your teammates. Overall, I would recommend her 10/10!!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3304 - I love this woman. She is incredible and has such a passion for communication and her students. If you don't get an A in this class it's your own fault. There were 2 tests all semester and they were both online and open note. Little to no homework, except for the group projects which were super fun to do. My biggest recommendation is to make the best of your group because that will make or break you.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Non Verbal & Small group - If you don't make an A+ it is your fault. Damron rocks and likes to engage the class. She knows what she is talking about and I love her confidence. She is someone you'd want to be friends with outside of class. Her tests are easy if you due the review all the way out. Her papers require deeper thinking but like, that's why we are here so put in the effort and you'll be fine  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Nonverbal - BEST DECISION EVER. She's the reason that I decided to change to Communications (along with McNamee). I have never learned so much in a class. She's the "hidden gem" of Baylor and would recommend taking her for every class she offers. The test are somewhat long but you take everthing online so she normally cancels class on those days. The final was takehome and that saved me because I was able to finish it early. TAKE HER  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:comm - The best professor ever. You will leave her class not only wanting to become a professor yourself but you will also become her best friend. Seriously it would be an absolute privilege if you are able to take her!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:CSS 1302 - There is no getting around it... If you have to/want to take this course, you should do all you can to get Damron. She does an incredible job of keeping students encouraged and motivated, even if they are not the greatest public speakers. Damron makes every speaker feel worthy, but also has something each person can improve on. I learned a lot in this class and would highly recommend Damron to anyone.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3304 - Small Group - Damron was an excellent lecturer, but sometimes a little dry. She uses powerpoint slides and posts them to blackboard. I took notes, but never really needed them. The study guides for the 2 tests were fairly long, but if you split it with your small group, its completely doable. she gave 3 small group tasks with a mini paper for each one, 2 tests, and a final analysis paper (6-8) pages. She was very understanding of scheduling conflicts and workload problems. She graded fairly, but I wouldn't way that she handed out the A's and B's. You have to work for them, but not extremely hard. This is a great class to take! She teaches how to work with groups very well and she loves doing it.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3312 - Jane Damron is THE BEST PROFESSOR AT BAYLOR. She dresses super cute and she is so excited and happy about what she teaches. She conveys her excitement about what she is teaching to her students. Her tests are relatively easy, but you will need to do the study guides. Make sure you don't mistake her fancy looks as her being a pushover teacher. She requires you to do the work, which is at times a lot, but not really. She really is great though.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3304 - Damron is GREAT! You can tell that she loves what she is teaching. She made the class as interesting as possible and encouraged classroom participation. There is a midterm and final. All multiple choice. Nothing too difficult, be sure to study the powerpoints and complete the study guide. Extra credit is plentiful in this class and most of the other grades are easy 100s. This isn't a blowoff class, but it was a great time and fairly easy. Would take her class again.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3304 - Mrs. Damron is great! This class is an easy A. She is very helpful and will email back at any hour of the day. She is very happy and energetic. Her class was one of my favorites at Baylor.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3304 - I had Jane for small groups, and it was an easy A. Three tests which are straight from the outlines. She offers plenty of extra credit. The hardest part of the class is coordinating with your small group, because sometimes having everyone meet at a mutual time can be extremely challenging. Take her  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2011-11-26

Comments:3304 - I think this was her first semester at Baylor teaching, but she was an excellent teacher. You have to write 5 short papers (1-2 pages each), a couple exams, some daily quizzes, and one final group project (30-35 minutes in lieu of a final exam). She taught off powerpoint, and put her slides up on Blackboard. She gave bonus points for good attendance, and took points OFF for poor attendance. She cut a couple classes because she was working on graduate school things every once in a while. Very manageable class, a fun person to have as a teacher, and would definitely retake her.  - Grade In Class:B
