Comments:English 2310 - Genuinely the easiest A of my life. 100% reccomed the only thing I could complain about is that in class, he just talks a lot sometimes I would fall asleep.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2026-05-15

Comments:ENG 1310 - Easy A if you get your essays done. Attend class he tells you literally every component you would need to include. I could do these essays the night before and always get a good grade. You get what you put into it. Lecture is horrible but it's just a class you have to do. Paper and pencil notes and no electronics. He yaps sooo much and the class will feel so boring but literally my easiest A ever  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ENG 1310 - NEVER TAKE THIS CLASS. WHATEVER YOU DO, STAY AWAY. IT'S NOT WORTH IT  - Grade In Class:F

Date: 2025-05-10

Comments:2310 - If you want an A in American Lit, take him because it's so easy. I swear we aren't even learning American lit half the time; it's like Texas history, but I don't care because he's so funny and nice. You have weekly home quizzes, and your tests are online which is nice. No stress in this class. I just draw the whole time  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2310 - bro just yaps his head off... dont take if you get bored easily or need 4 major please!!!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ENG 1310 - Dude is nice but a terrible teacher. He will yap about nothing for the whole class period and you basically have to teach yourself everything outside of class. If you take him make sure to bring a pillow to class so you can nap instead of listening to him yap about nothing.  - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2024-12-03

Comments:1310 - he is a really nice guy but he rambles a lot and doesnt explain assignments well. He is a little strict on grading but he means well.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2024-11-22

Comments:1310 50 - He talks more about his life adventures then how to do our assignments during class. He's funny and has a great personality, but when it comes down to teaching, he makes it difficult to understand his ideal material. You generally have 1 assignment a week due on Sundays. This is helpful because you do need a full week to work on a majority of the assignments, but there's no rubric for any assignments. If there is, it's hidden in the many files uploaded and you aren't told about it. He also is bad at answering emails btw.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:2310 - He is very kind and I love his personality! The class is boring with it being an hour and 15 minute class, but the amount of work makes it worth it! You have one quiz a week and the answers are easy to get (open note). He counts attendance and will call you out if you are on your phone. Good professor for an easy A!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2310 - I love Mr. Wilhite! He is amazing. I had him for American literature and absolutely loved the class. The reading was never overwhelming and we always had one quiz a week that was online. We had 2 exams over the class which both were online. We had one essay due at the end of semester and it wasn't too much at all. Take Wilhite! It's worth it!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2024-04-22

Comments:2310 - Literally the easiest class ever. You have one quiz once a week but its open note and straight from the readings. All the tests are 15 questions and open note and its just questions from the past 3 quizzes so its near impossible to not get a 100. Attendance is a grade though so as long as you show up then its an easy A+. He doesn't really teach, mostly just goes over the readings and tells stories about his life, but it was a good study hall period for me to finish my work for other classes lol. SUPER nice dude though  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2310 - Wilhite was such a nice professor. His goal in his class is for you to learn something. You get what you put into this class, which isn't hard. He'll spend a lot of class telling stories and relating things back to class readings and if you aren't a robot you can tell that Wilhite really cares about his job and loves what he does. He is lowkey overqualified for his position despite not having a doctorate. He has worked for numerous newspapers, journals, worked as an editor, and even a rodeo clown. He is so down to Earth and despite his class being an 8 AM I never regret being in his class. Weekly quizzes and any exams are open-note and just on canvas. Wilhite is amazing I'd recommend taking him.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1304 - I have NO IDEA why his rating is so low. Easiest. teacher. ever. Every single class I went to was a half hour long at most, and most of the time he just checked to see if we did prep for our essays and let us go. He canceled 4 classes over the semester, and 3 of those were pre planned. If you suck at writing, okay he may not be the best but I'm sure if you go to office hours he will be very helpful. He does like to talk and can go on tangents but the class was literally so minimal effort you just build upon a couple of different essays for a final research essay. He lets you copy and paste your own words between essays. Really nice guy, take him!!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1304 - Run so freaking far away from this professor. I received an A- in this class for no reason. $ essays + a final. He highest grade he gives is a 95 but to make an A you need a 93. So unless you are perfect, RUN. He is so aloof and does not teach you anything so this class is pointless. Thank god it's over.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1304 - It completely depends on his mood how long class will be. Some days he’s in the mood to ramble on about a bunch of uselessness (his rodeo career and life in journalism mostly) for the entire 1 hr + 15 minutes, other days he lets you leave after 5 minutes. The day your essay is due, he lets you turn it in and leave. His class is pretty straightforward, all you do is write the essays (3 essays – each 3-5 pgs, research paper – 5-10 pgs, in class essay - final). They all expand on each other in a way, so I used parts of my earlier essays in my later essays. If he says the essay should be 3-5 pages in length, write 5 pages. If two papers are the same in content, he will always give the higher grade to the longer paper and he openly admits that. He has weird formatting preferences so definitely pay attention when he explains how to format your papers (header/bibliography). For our bibliography, he said, "I know this is how MLA tells you to do it, but just do it this way for my class." A DANG ENGLISH CLASS and he doesn’t even follow MLA! He started off the semester really passionate, but as the semester wore on he completely lost motivation. We would have to remind him what days our essays were due and he once cancelled class because 2 people were absent. He’s a real funky guy. He says that Baylor professorship is his "side job." His class isn’t that much work but you need to be prepared to do a lot of out of class writing. Nothing is done during class time. The essays are really spread out so you have a ton of time to work on them. Wilhite rarely gives feedback on essays, just kinda slaps a grade on them. Sometimes I doubt that he even read my paper. He says the highest grade he gives on a paper is a 95. No, there’s no logic behind it.. We asked. Be sure to do all the outlines, initial notes, and peer reviews. If you don’t, you will get bad grades on the essays because they count for 50 points of your essay grade. Ask him questions if you don’t understand the essay formatting, because as I stated earlier, he pays a great deal of attention to formatting and organization. Do the outlines with a lot of effort and then your entire essay will come together with ease and the peer editing will actually help you. Bring something to do during class, because the days that he is in the mood to chit chat with himself about nothing, you will want to have something to work on. The class is a waste of time but Wilhite is an interesting man.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1302 - 1. Boring lectures that usually lest all 90 minutes and go off topic 2. you probably won't learn anything in his class 3. you can't miss class more than 4 times 4. his class isn't quite as easy as these reviews would suggest anymore. (You only do 4 papers + a midterm and final, and he rarely gives As on papers)  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1302 - He is a great guy. He really knows his stuff and wants to share his knowledge. I think it is impossible to get a 100 on a paper, but you'll definitely be a better writer after taking his class.  - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2016-04-15

Comments:1302 - Wilhite works two jobs, Baylor being the side one. Does not like to email on his Baylor email. He talks about stories about half the class and teaches the basics. Interesting guy though. Easy essays, but make sure and write over the required length. Ask about the scar on his head.  - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2014-05-08

Comments:1302 - He tries really hard to be a good instructor but he is almost never here at Baylor. He focuses on his TSTC job way more causing him to never be on campus… He grades really weird too a 90 on his papers means nothing was wrong just you didn't cater to his needs enough. However he only gives you a few essays all year and is very lenient on the in class grading and extra credit. You should be able to get all 90's on your essays and end up with an A.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2013-11-19

Comments:1302 - Incredibly easy class. The essays are the only work, and he drops the lowest two. He doesn't drop zeros, so turn in every essay. He doesn’t give you a rubric, but he’s an easy grader and it's pretty easy to argue your paper and get another 5%. His class is extremely boring, so bring something to keep you occupied. It is not necessary to listen to his lectures, which are usually 40% information that we should already know (capitalization, comma usage, etc.) and 60% stories about his history in journalism and rodeo. He rarely (if ever) replies to emails/phone calls. Take him if you want an easy A, but make sure you have something to keep you awake in his class.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2013-03-20

Comments:1302 - Easy class overall good teacher. 7 essays and that is it the lowest two scores are dropped but make sure u do all of them because a 0 will not be dropped neither will the final. I recommend him if u have other classes with heavier workloads.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2011-12-12

Comments:1301 - The only "workload" was the essays. They were easy to write and procrastinate. I only spent 2 days on each one. He does drop the lowest essay as well, but Do All of Them. If you don't turn one in then he won't drop that 0.  - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2011-11-27

Comments:1302 - His class was a joke. Bring your laptop or you WILL fall asleep. I did all of the essays the day/night before and got a 90-95 on every paper. Do all of the papers because he drops your lowest of three grades. Often lets you tun in papers and leave. Easy to argue your paper grade to get an extra 5%, doesn't respond quickly--or at all sometimes to emails. EASY CLASS, if you can manage to stay awake...  - Grade In Class:A
