They should not be allowed to teach at Baylor. My cousin who is a professional accountant says they are teaching students for failure. They bring shame to Baylor University. Comments:3303 - Great teacher, better person. Everything we did in class, whether that was questions from the textbook, practicing with the handouts that she made, or just all the lively discussions keep you very engaged. As if we didn't have enough of it, there was always even more practice for outside of class in Canvas if we needed more help. I truly felt so prepared, it never felt like busy work and she made class time never feel wasted. She also has a ton of office hours where she is more than willing to help you if you ever get stuck on homework or in studying. One interesting thing about this class is how totally different each of the tests are. You go from hand-drawing flowcharts and BPDs to pure normal multiple choice, then to online PowerBI/Excel. Certainly a case where you can redeem yourself easily if you flop on one. As for the grading structure, this class is much more forgiving. There are 4 exams, but only worth about 10% each, but the comprehensive final is worth 20%. However, there are 8 quizzes that total 15% (lowest is also dropped), and between the Excel assignments and homework, there is another easy 25% available. Overall, this class and the material is much more fun and engaging when compared to Intermediate and as long as you put in sufficient effort, should not be terribly difficult and could actually be a grade booster.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ACC 2304 - Best accounting teacher at Baylor based on raw teaching ability as well as just being a teacher in general. If you want to learn accounting, take her. She keeps you engaged in class and is very sassy and funny. Workload is pretty minimal, anything she has you do is helpful. Could not recommend her enough.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2304 - LOVE LOVE LOVE Cari! She is an amazing professor and an even more amazing person. You can tell she absolutely loves her job and interacting with students. Her class structure consisted of online homework and 5 multiple choice exams (4 exams and 1 comprehensive final) where the final replaces your lowest exam grade. Overall, the exams were pretty easy and the practice exams she provides represent the exams. I very well could have gotten an "A" but I didn't do well on two exams due to personal reasons which she was very respectful and caring about. Would 100% take her again!!  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:ACC 2304 - She is such a good professor I highly recommend her. She gives you note outlines, including plenty of practice problems, which I found very helpful because it keeps your notes neat and extremely straightforward. If you learn by doing, you should thrive in her class because she has you do lots and lots of practice. she does require you to do class prep, but dont be scared they never took me more than 20 minutes to do. Also, homework usually consists of a few problems and you have several attemps. It is my opinion that the people who dont like her must have gotten on her bad side somehow. She will stop class if you're late and is not afraid to call you out if you dont come prepared. This is really not that outrageous though because, as she'll tell you, you wouldnt get away with this in your career. Basically show up on time and have your notes already printed! I wish I could take her for AIS, great professor, great ally in the ACC dept.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ACC 2304 - This is a hard class and based on how well you understand the content will determine how bad the workload is for you. Edison is however probably the best professor at actually teaching and explaining material that I have had at Baylor so far. She does run her class pretty strict though sort of like a high school class with being on phones and talking but classes are extremely helpful and the preset notes she has to fill out for class are great for studying. She supplies you with practice tests that do prepare you for the exam very well. If you can do the practice test no problem then you should pass the exam with an A. Overall Edison is a great professor and would 100% take her again.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2304 - Cari Edison is a very nice, Christian professor who knows what she is talking about. I took the online format and I wasn't a fan of it. She is over the top about cheating (she made us buy a separate webcam for our test), plus she makes you take every test on a whiteboard. This greatly affected me, because you can't go back and look at your work. In office hours, she'll ask what you did to solve a question, but because you take the test on a whiteboard, you can't see what you did. If you do the practice problems and homeworks, you will be able to be successful in this class. Overall, whatever professor you get for Managerial, the class is hard. Edison is a solid professor.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:ACC 2304 - Edison is a great person and she is a great teacher. However, no matter how good a professor is, this class is just hard. Study hard for this class because you'll need it. She is very accessible for office hours and she is great at explaining one on one, so use this to your advantage. DO THE PRACTICE EXAMS AND EXTRA PRACTICE PROBLEMS...it is a pain, but you'll do so much better on the tests. Also do your homework, it helps cushion your grade. First two exams are full multiple choice, last three are mixture of MC and free response. Edison is good so if you have the opportunity to take her, I recommend it.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:2304 - The reviews below don’t lie, Edison is incredible. I had her all online this semester. Her lectures are well done and explain everything thoroughly. All homework is done through WileyPlus so that access code will be a little expensive but the homework helps you understand everything pretty well. Edison is also very quick to respond to emails about any homework questions or walk you through anything you need. There are four tests and a cumulative final but they are all pretty straightforward. Coming into accounting I never thought I’d like it, but after her class, I’m considering switching majors. Without a doubt TAKE EDISON!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2304 - Mrs. Edison is the most caring professor I have had so far at Baylor. She loves her job and her students, and will do just about anything to help us be successful. You do have to put the work in, but she basically matches that effort with her help that she offers back. There are 4 tests, all seemed to be completely fair, and an online assignment due before each class. She will call you out in class if you aren't giving enough effort, but to me that just showed how committed she was to helping us learn. I would 100% recommend taking her!  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:ACC 2304 - Professor Edison is the best professor I've had, thus far, in my college career. She's an amazing professor and genuinely cares about her students and about whether or not they learn the material. There's homework before pretty much every class, but she prepares you really well for the homework, so all you have to do is give her your undivided attention in class. And if you don't understand, she goes out of her way to make herself available in any way she can. She holds tons of office hours, responds to emails super efficiently, has a TA and an SI who also hold office hours, and she really makes it kind of hard not to do well in the class. Outside of the basics, she's just an all around amazing person with a genuinely caring heart, and it's hard not to appreciate that!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3303 - First things first, take Lail if you can you will end up most likely with an A rather than a B. When asking questions, Edison does not answer them. She finds it more beneficial for you to figure out the answer to the question you don't know the answer to. Yes, makes sense right? This makes learning material much harder as she doesn't fully answer questions to ideas you don't understand. The workload is the best part as all homework is optional.  - Grade In Class:B+

The key to getting along with her is to make sarcastic comments with her because she will for sure hit them right back at you. She cares about her students and is always available in her office. Comments:2304 - Mrs Edison is a super sweet professor. She genuinely cares about all of her students, she even said a prayer for us during class a few times. She has the cutest kids and talks about her family frequently. If you are not understanding the topic, she goes out of her way to explain things in a new way. She goes very fast through her notes and sometimes it makes me anxious listening to her. There is homework almost every night either online or written. Online homework gives you (usually) 3 tries to get the answer correct. She drops a few of the lowest homework grades. We did not have any extra credit. There were 4 tests and a final. All were pretty manageable- just do the review, the SI review, and reprint your notes and work through the problems, and you should do fine!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ACC 2304 - Pulled a consistent 100 + bonus on every exam. She has frequent hw but it is so easy I literally spend like 10 minutes. The material is super easy so if you are smart you only have to tune in 25% of the time, but she is an excellent teacher regardless. Definitely take her if you can!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Managerial - I struggled with Financial, barely squeaked by with a C, so I was scared I would do the same in managerial. Edison is hands down the best professor I ever had at Baylor. She not only helps you with succeeding in accounting but gives you life lessons that you will take with you for years to come. Comments:2304 - Mrs. E was the best accounting professor ever. She is always available to help you with whatever you need. There is a decent chunk of homework but most accounting classes will. The hw is a decent amount of your grade but she lets you check the answers if you go to SI or her office hours or email her, you can get over 100 on the homework which really helps. The tests were pretty much straight forward and similar to her reviews and notes. She gives alot of vocab questions on the tests so they're hit or miss if you don't study. The final replaces your lowest test grade and it is really general. Get her if you can, you wont be sorry  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2304 - This lady is soooo sweet and is kind of like an mother to her students! This class is not bad at all! The homework is a good chunk of your grade and I'd recommend doing all of it and getting them checked every day and a good portion of your grade will be a 100 or over depending if you do the extra credit homework. The tests were fair game and were questions similar to the ones she gives on the reviews. There are no tricks on the tests, so don't over think questions. A total of 4 exams and a final. The first 2 exams were really easy I thought. Also show up to class because she does check after attendance and is part of your participation grade. This lady is just so awesome and it was fun going to her class. I wish she taught upper-level accounting.  - Grade In Class:A

Her tests are like the homework and problems we do in class. They are multiple choice and sometimes with free response, which were not bad at all. Comments:Managerial Acct - Do yourself a favor and take her. Daily homework but she does that to try and boost your grade, the assignments are mostly just checks to see if you try. All you have to do is turn it in. Don't blow the class off but most concepts aren't terribly hard to grasp and Mrs. Edison has to be the best thing to hit Baylor accounting since the calculator. She graduated from Baylor not that long ago and can relate to students and you can tell she really cares about you and that you understand Managerial. Class always seemed to fly by with her. My advice would be to go see her in her office/build a relationship early in the semester, do your homework, do the study guides for tests.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:2304 - This was her first semester teaching and she was absolutely amazing! I was completely turned off to accounting after financial but she made everything so relatable. Her tests are very fair and exactly like homework and in-class examples. They are either all multiple choice or mostly multiple choice with some free response. The class is not a blowoff but it is easier to actually learn the material because of the way the class is structured. Do the homework! It is worth a lot more than you think!
