Comments:FORS 3370 - The ground Sarge walks on deserves to be worshiped!! If you're new to forensics and Sarge as a professor, you'll understand what I'm talking about after taking a few classes with him.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3350 - BEST BEST BEST BEST BEST BEST professor ever. So grateful he is teaching at Baylor! So interesting and knowledgable about everything.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:FORS 2357 - Cool class, cool guy, cool stories. Be sure to take notes or grab them from someone and read up. Having a large class makes it tough to get to know Huggins but I can't think of anything about his teaching or class that scares me as a student. But as a person, wouldn't want to mess with this guy. 9/10  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2357 - SARGE IS THE BEST!! He is a funny, caring, and clearly passionate professor. I never wanted to skip his class because the information was interesting and he made it fun and easy to engage/pay attention. The only things your grade consists of is the three tests, but if you pay attention, take notes and study everything is very straightforward and easy to figure out. Sarge is an overall great person and professor and I highly recommend him and his classes!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2357 - I LOVE SARGE! this class is really easy, tests are exactly what the slides say.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:FORS 2357 - Professor Huggins is amazing! Yes, I am biased as a forensics minor but this course is so fun. The test are all on lockdown and are the only grades for the semester -- but that's okay! His exams are not bad, they are very fair and pretty much just definition questions with some true/false mixed in. I studied using hand written flashcards and got A's on all my exams. FYI power points are not posted because of sensitive content. So, make sure to take good notes and pay attention. Not sure how this class will be run in the future but for my semester there was no textbook so use notes to study and label them accordingly. Great professor and super fun content! I hope I can take more high level courses with Sarge!!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:FORS MINOR - I cannot put into works how incredible it has been to have Sarge as a professor. I have been taking his class from survey to Adv. Forensics. I have learned more about this field in terms of practical knowledge than I have in hard science courses. Sarge doesn't have a ton of content or difficult exams, he just teaches from experience. In terms of helpfulness and availability, 10/10. Sarge talked me through grad school applications, wrote letters of rec for grad and medical school, was willing to let me interview him for an entirely different class that he doesn't teach on his day off. Truly a professor that is passionate about teaching and his students. As a senior, I can say that Sarge's courses were my favorite part of my Baylor experience. If you're thinking about one of his classes, just do it. Seriously.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2357 - Couldn't be more excited to be a Forensic Science minor! Can't wait to take my next class with Sarge! Thank you for being the best.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:CSI - I LOVE SARGE. There is no professor like him ANYWHERE. He is the most helpful, caring and genuinely interesting person you will ever meet. His classes are fascinating, he supplements all material with his own experience. Classes don't feel like classes but like a fun break in which you get to learn cool stuff. If the word 'comfort' was a person, it would be Sarge. He radiates warmth and friendliness. Not taking his classes, would be a mistake. Don't miss out on having one of the best professors available.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2357 - I picked up a forensic science minor not knowing what to expect, but so far, I've been enjoying it very much. I made the mistake of switching over to the online section of the CSI course, which means I've been missing out on a lot. Despite this, I still really enjoy watching the lectures as professor Huggins spends a lot of time telling us stories from his time as a Texas Ranger and they are SO bizarre and SO interesting. You do get to see real photos from the investigation/crime scene which I think is absolutely fascinating. The class is not difficult at all. He is a little slow with getting through the textbook, but this is because he doesn't really care about the technical, memorization aspect of learning. He also gave us 9 extra points on our first exam because he thinks the wording of some of the questions he made was not clear, so he's a very understanding and generous person. Highly recommended!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:CSI - If you're taking any forensic science class, you obviously don't have a choice when it comes to picking teachers. THANK GOD Sarge is the only one. He's hilarious, interesting, and helpful. He is super easy when it comes to grading if you even try a little bit. In both my forensic science class and CSI class, (took both freshman year,) he sends out test hints a couple day before the test. Write out or use flashcards for all the definitions he gives. If you do that, I can guarantee you'll get an A or B on all his tests. TAKE ANY FORENSIC SCIENCE CLASS!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:FORS 2357 - Sarge is an excellent professor. He truly cares about all of his students learning and doing well, but he’s also not afraid to tell you like it is and speak the truth. Showing up for class is important since he doesn’t post the powerpoints due to their sometimes graphic nature. Show up, pay attention and take notes, and you’ll do well.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Survey/CSI - Sarge is truly one of the best professors I have had at Baylor! He has such a fun and easy-going personality that makes him very approachable. Since he is a retired Texas Ranger, his lectures are always interesting because he includes stories and images from real crime scenes that he has worked. This class has taught me so much about the field of forensic science. If you are interesting in this topic, I would definitely take one of his intro classes.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:CSI/WCC - Literally not enough good things to say about sarge - truly cares about you learning applicable things rather than being guided by irrelevant stats/info.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Survey/CSI/Bloodstain - Excellent. Only professor that I feel cared about the students instead of their own ego at Baylor.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:CSI - First off, Dr. Huggins real name is "Sarge". Sarge is a great lecturer and he is a great overall human being. He needs to win an award for how great of a professor he is. He is also very funny. Course= 3 exams and a final (MC, T/F). Very straightforward tests. Sarge is the best  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3320 - Sgt is super helpful and cares for his students. Like the earlier comments, if you like blood, gore, and guts - take him. If not, then don't. He's very attentive to student's needs. We had 3 exams and a final that were all MC and T/F. He gave us study hints, but I typed my notes in class because his powerpoints usually have a lot of writing on them. Overall, this is my minor and he makes it so much homework.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ALL FORS - I've completed a minor in Forensic Science and taken five classes from Sarge (Intro, CSI, Impression, Firearms, and Bloodstain) and recieved A's in all five courses. Every class is pretty much the same (from a set up point of view) with 3 tests and a final. The tests are fairly easy and Sarge sends out Study Hints a couple days before the test - study those and you'll be on track to an A. I've loved every minute of my FORS track and really wish I had more time to take a couple more classes with him. If you are looking for an awesome hands-on style learning environment, this is for you. If you don't like blood, gore, graphic photos... these classes aren't for you. Sarge is a retired Texas State Trooper and Texas Ranger so he brings case files with him to review to give you a reality check in the legitimacy of his course. Be ready to work, learn, and have fun because Sarge will teach you the life of an investigator!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:FORS 2357 - I solely took this class to boost my struggling GPA some, turns out this guy is a class act crime scene investigator who knows his stuff and is teaching the class to educate you on what it's actually like in the worse of CSI. 3 tests and a final. You need to make A's on all his exams, because his final is worth 40% of your total grade. You DO NOT need a book for this class trust me, quizlet and taking a couple notes from the class will get you an A on the tests. This guy isn't trying to make things hard on you. Comments:2357 - Crime Scene Investigation - Sarge is the bomb. It's literally storytime every class about his life as a Texas Ranger. Most of the examples are cases that he has worked. He makes it to where you enjoy class because of his stories. 3 exams and a final (I think he drops the lowest one). Made A's on all the tests. If you do the extra credit he offers, there's no way you won't make an A  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3370 - I love fors. This is my minor and it is so interesting. Srgt does repeat stories, but to me they seem to get more detailed as the level of forensics classes increase. If you need a fun credit, take his CSI or Survey class because those are super fun.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2357 - This is my minor and Srgt. is the reason why. He is so sweet and funny. Though if you take survey, a lot of CSI class are repeated stories. Overall, the class is interesting and he is fun. This is a required class to take upper levels, but I highly suggest it. I can't express how much this stuff/topics interest and intrigue me.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1390 - Such a wonderful professor and man! Take this class. There are 3 tests, one paper, and the final. The final was cumulative but it wasn't too bad and the paper wasn't either. He's such a nice man and since he's a fomer Texas Ranger, you get to see pictures and talk through his old cases.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:FORS 1390 - So thankful that the forensics department at Baylor was blessed with Professor Huggins. He is HANDS DOWN my favorite professor at Baylor, and he comes with years of incredible experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2357 - I've had the pleasure of doing forensic field work and taking two of Sarge's classes (CSI and Forensic Firearm Analysis). This man is a wonderful teacher because of his Texas Ranger background. It's not a history class- it's story time, which I find to be more helpful in a practical sense. He is eager to meet with students outside of class and genuinely has his students' best interests at heart. Great man, great classes.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1390 - Survey of Fors. Science - Sgt. Huggins was BY FAR my favorite teacher this semester. He is super laid back and has the most interesting stories to tell. His class is easy, but you still want to lean just because he's so interesting. Can't wait to take one of his other classes  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1390 - Sgt. Huggins is one of the best professors at Baylor. He always keeps his class interesting. He is a retired Texas Ranger so he always has the best stories! I would definitely recommend taking his class!!!! He doesn't give too much homework. We have had one paper of case scenarios, but they were really fun to work on. He gives 3 exams plus a final.   - Grade In Class:A
