Comments:1305BUS - Assignments 30%, Projects 10%, Exams 60%. Schaffer is awesome, such a sweet lady, but her homework omg, it sucks so bad and its very time consuming, but not hard at all. Theres 2 group presentations and 1 other "presentation" kinda thing sitting down and just reading something she tells you to look up idk. All her exams were on quizlet but she did say that theres a new book coming next sem so prob wouldnt rely on that idk. My best advice would be to have two computers and do your homework assignments side by side to cut time in half. (i dont think she would allow this but thats what i did). i took a zero on on of the projects just cause i didnt feel like doing it, still ended with like a 98.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:BUS 1305 - Mrs. Schaffer is awesome. Super friendly and will talk about her kids for days if you let her. She wants the absolute best for her students and cares a lot about them, and it shows. There's a lot of homework, but it's not hard, just time-consuming. Her tests are really easy as long as you study her lecture slides and listen for the phrase "hint hint, nudge nudge" when she lectures. It's not a hard class, just do your work and you'll pass.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1350 - Literally the nicest woman I've ever met. I would die for her. However, I don't think that her class prepares you for her exams very well. The final is just taken from the other test banks, which is really nice. She prepares you well for the MOS, but for the normal exams I typically felt kinda blindsided. The homework assignments are due at 7:59 am of the day you have class, which was sometimes annoying. As long as you do the work you should be fine.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1305 - schaffers class is easy but her course is organized you will do pretty well bc its easy but its overall really dumb and you dont learn much.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1305 - Schaffer was amazing! She is sweet, inspirational, and passionate in the regard that she always hopes the best for her students. Additionally, she's caring and flexible with certain mistakes. Some of the material can be dull, but she conveys it in a fun and enthusiastic manner. I'd highly recommend.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1305 - AMAZING! Literally an angel. Schaffer is the sweetest, kind hearted, caring, teacher I've ever had. She really cares about her students and tries to make the class interesting and fun. Course work is easy just follow the steps in the book or the blue box videos and you get 100 (which I didn't realize till the last 4 assignments which is what dropped my grade). tests are easy if you study (I did not). all tests are all multiple choice, same with the final. the final is 95 multiple choice questions and it was so easy. HIGHLY recommend  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:MIS one - THE GOAT. I have no idea why her rating is so low she is so easy and so Nice. you just go through the textbook and do the basic work. she cares about you so much and the test are just definitions. TAKE HER NO MATTER WHAT  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1305 - I was assigned to Schaffer at orientation without consideration of her rating and I feel fortunate I was assigned to her. The class is essentially learning how to work excel, which is an extremely important thing to know going forward in the business school. So much so that at a CITI Bank information session for investment banking (highly competitive) I was told that the top two skills have were 1.)interpersonal skills & 2.)excel, word and powerpoint proficiency. That being said, after it was all said and done I did get an A in the course fairly easily, yet I don't feel like I learned how to actually use excel on my own for useful things. I feel that is more at fault of the course rather than Schaffer. The homework can take you some time, yet following the book step by step will get you through it much easier than it otherwise would be. She basically read off of the test for our review session and has a huge focus on vocabulary terms and concepts. For the presentations, just make sure you follow her rubric to a tee and you will score a high mark. Overall, a good option. -MITCHEL  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:MIS 1305 - Sarah Schaffer is the best MIS class to take hands down. As a person, she is super sweet and really cares about how her students are doing personally. She even says to come to her if we are struggling with anything. As a teacher, she is not the best at explaining material. HOWEVER, she makes it very easy to get an A in the class. For exams, she always gives a review that covers everything on the test. The homework can be time consuming, but if you follow the book steps exactly its a 100 every time. She also gives hundreds for the presentations if you follow her steps. This lady/class will be a blessing to your schedule!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1306 - She is super interesting. She keeps the class interesting and super easy A. Procrastination is key in her class. Comments are spot on about her. She will put powerpoints on the board of the units but literally reads them and we learn nothing. ***Read this**** THE TEXTBOOKS TELL YOU HOW TO DO THE HOMEWORK STEP BY STEP! I wish i would have know that earlier. Homework takes sometimes 3 hours per night but it doesnt have to be hard if you look at the book. I barely know anything more than when I went in but i got the credit and the A.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1306 - Super Nice. Easy A. Tests are super easy. The class was meant to be all about Excel and Access but she focuses more on real world applications and stuff. Which is super easy projects and discussions. If you actually want to learn how to do the excel stuff, take someone else. There was a lot of hoe work but she died up dropping all of it. Very little studying necessary to make a B on tests  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1305 - Nice, but not a great teacher. If you want an easy A, take her. If you want to actually learn the material, I would recommend someone else.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:MIS 1305 - If you can take her for MIS..DO IT! even if it's an 8 am seriously it's worth it...almost no homework, she gives you almost all the answers for the tests the class period before the test. compared to the other MIS teachers she is an angel. It's an easy A but you still learn the material.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1305 - Easiest class I have been in at Baylor! She is very nice and she wants her students to succeed! She curved one of our test ten points for no reason. To do well on the test, write down what she says in the review and look up the definitions and you will definitely get an A. If you actually want to learn how to use excel or access though do not take her, but if you want an easy A take her!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:MIS 1305 - Incredibly easy class. She won't be teaching fall of 2013, but try to get her if you see her. I've heard horror stories about other MIS professors. Easy tests, she gives amazingly helpful reviews, and the homework is easy.   - Grade In Class:A
