Comments:PSC 3304 - Throughout the course, the professor seems to be uninterested in the student's learning experience and instead focuses solely on delivering the material. The professor consistently warns students that more than half of them will fail the class, creating a stressful and negative learning environment. This tactic of scaring students is unprofessional and does not encourage a growth mindset. Kudelia assigns an excessive amount of reading material, leaving students with little time to process the content or engage in any other activities. Regardless of a student's social skills, failing to participate in the specific way demanded by the professor will result in failure. The professor also demonstrates a lack of flexibility and understanding of different learning styles and abilities. For example, he fails students for not phrasing answers in the way he expects, even if they have the correct answer. During lectures, the professor rushes through the material and avoids answering questions from students, leaving them struggling to keep up with note-taking. When students request him to go back over slides, he spends little time doing so, creating additional difficulties for students. Kudelia's unprofessional and disrespectful behavior towards his students is concerning. He smirks at students who ask questions, displaying a lack of respect for their needs and concerns. Kudelia's teaching style is unproductive and not conducive to a positive learning experience. It is my recommendation to avoid this professor's class if possible. This class, due to Kudelia, doubtlessly should be considered a crime in college academics. Kudelia should never, in any aspect, represent Baylor's way of teaching. AVOID TAKING HIM AT ALL COSTS  - Grade In Class:DROP

Comments:Dictatorship - He is a fun and entertaining professor. But he has a clear grading rubric that he never shares with student, his grading is highly unpredictable. He usually frames the exam questions in a way that you don't know what is he actually asking.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:Comparative - NEVER EVER TAKE KUDELIA. This is a required course that over half of the class dropped after the first two exams. He is an extremely harsh grader, and after struggling on the first two exams I noticed that I was the only one in the class left taking the exams honestly and failing. Avoid taking Kudelia at all costs. There are other much better professors and it is not worth your time nor stress to attempt taking a class with him.  - Grade In Class:DROP

Comments:Terrorism - DO NOT TAKE HIM AT ALL COSTS. Absolutely terrible professor. To much work. minimum of 5 essays and 4 tests. The tests also include 4-5 esssays in them. have to read 100 pages daily. He made my semester the worst because of how much stress the class gave me. He reads off a powerpoint. His grading is very interesting. Some times he grades extremely hard and other times he grades only moderately hard.  - Grade In Class:C+

Comments:4344 Politics of Russia - Dr. Kudelia is an incredible professor that will provide insightful, challening, and relevant material and discussion. The class is academically rigorous and will require hard work. He offers ample extra credit and acknowledges the difficulty of his class. The class is centered around discussion and debates. Kudelia is tough but truly one of the best at Baylor. I learned so much and found his style and readings interesting. It is a solid feeling to finish the course feeling challenged and more knowledgable, Kudelia offers that. Great guy and great professor  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Comparative Politics - Very Tough teacher, but he pushes you to your best. If you aren't willing to put in the work, then don't take this class. He's absolutely brilliant, any review or anyone who tells you otherwise is absolutely wrong. Take his class if you're serious about your education, don't if you're not.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:PSC 4395 - Dr. Kudelia was undoubtedly one of the best professors that I have ever taken. He was very organized and made wonderful use of class time. The course was very engaging and I felt like I truly learned so much. Dr. Kudelia is extremely intelligent and a very kind person. I highly recommend him!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:4344 - Awesome class that greatly increased my understanding of the Russian region taught by an awesome professor. I feel that I learned a great deal and enjoyed doing it. The workload is serious, but seriously educational, too. If you are work hard, Dr. K is friendly and caring, and he teaches the class with the hopes of giving you an appropriate view of the region.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:PSC4344 - Dr. Kudelia is one of the most knowledgable and accomplished professors I have ever had. His background is impressive. (Just look up some of his interviews on youtube) I feel lucky to have been in a class with someone as esteemed as Dr. Kudelia. Don't let his accent intimidate you or diminish his approachability. He has a great sense of humor and is very willing to help you. I found his class challenging and in turn very rewarding. His lectures are current, not boring, and include videos, pictures, and sometimes movies. It's a 4000 level class so expect to be challenged. I recommend Dr. Kudelia very highly!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:PSC 4344 - Dr. Kudelia is a great professor! I think he's more established and comfortable here at Baylor since my experience was nothing like these other reviews. He is incredibly smart, slightly intimidating but also very approachable. I loved this class and would highly recommend this professor. He knows more than you will ever hope to know, and he will push you to figure things out for yourself. Lots of reading and writing, but for a 4000 level course that is to be expected. He had several movies that we watched outside of class, and we even had class outside once. Great professor! Take him!!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:PSC 3304 - He is at times hard to understand with his accent, but after the first week or two you'll get used to it. Nightly readings are at least 50+ pages from BearCat. You are expected to discuss these readings for a participation grade during class (watch out, shy people!). There were four pop quizzes and an extra credit one to replace the lowest quiz grade. These are fairly easy if you did all your readings and make sure you prepare before every class since you never know when he'll drop a quiz on you. There were only two tests: the midterm (15%) and the final (30%) which comprised of a small multiple choice section and the rest were short answer/essay questions. There was a paper due at the end of the class which he was very vague about on instructions. No real rubric was provided and not much guidance was given except from him commenting on your proposed topic when you present your paper to the class. All in all, Dr. Kudelia is a very intelligent man, but his class requires a lot of time and effort and the fact that his instructions tend to be very vague does not help. I don't personally recommend him unless you're up for sleepless nights to get your readings done and studying for the exams.  - Grade In Class:C

Comments:Terrorism - I am a senior and an honors student and since I have been in college I have (had) never made an essay grade below an 88. That includes not only political science classes, but economics and English. I much like yourself looked up Professor Kudelia on BU Books and no one had reviewed him, so I assumed he couldn't be that bad (I was wrong). The class on the whole was interesting, but we had 100+ pages of reading/class which isn't altogether. We had to purchase six books for the class, but over half of our other readings could only be accessed online, or in the library which was a pain. I made a 100% on my first paper and got Cs & Ds on the other three. He is very intelligent and well versed, but his head is so far up his own posterior orifice that the second you disagree with his beloved scholastic comrades...boom points off. I somehow by the grace of God got a decent enough grade in the class, but over half my class did not. It was so bad that one of my classmates sent a class wide email to adress the fact that over half a class full of juniors and seniors got Ds and below. Upon further examination we found out that we were not the first class to have an issue with Professor Kudelia. I took this class as a blow off class that hopefully I might learn a thing our two about contemporary terrorism. This class has by far been one the worst classes I have taken at Baylor even over Calculus based physics and psyc stats. Aside from the fact that he was far too strict in his grading, he was also incredibly condescending and rude to students who were not gifted in argumentation and public speaking. He fails to understand that we are not at his level of academic background. In summation I would avoid Professor Kudelia at all costs, seeing as this class taught me more about self-restraint than the actual subject matter. This is an absurd analogy, but to properly convey my level of frustration I would say the class itself is a form of academic terrorism.   - Grade In Class:B+
