Comments:23454322 - Dr. Wright is by far the worst professor at Baylor. She assigns very difficult homework, and her Tests/Quizzes couldn't be more challenging. You only need to have a PhD to do well on them. She tries to pretend that her tests are hard, but it's definitely not a ploy. AVOID DLW AT ALL COSTS!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2345 - I should preface this review by stating that Dr. Wright is one of the best lecturers I have experienced so far at Baylor, I genuinely felt like I had learned something new every time I left class. However, Dr. Wright is also one of the most unkind and impersonal professors I have taken at Baylor. Despite the fact that she does make herself reasonably available during office hours, she is rather unhelpful and only manages to convince you that she is completely uninvested your success. Moreover, Dr. Wright tries so hard to bring her faith into the classroom, that I thought I would turn inside out from cinging on multiple occasions. All in all, I would avoid taking Dr. Wright at all costs.  - Grade In Class:C

Comments:Advanced Thermodynamics - Dr. Wright is an extremely capable teacher, however she expects a huge amount of time and effort. Generally speaking nothing you do in her class, no matter how much effort is exerted, is what she would consider a job well done. Expect to work your heart out and be rewarded with disappointing marks. Do not expect in any capacity to be able to "slip by" in this class, and go into it with the mindset of working extremely hard. I do feel very well versed in thermodynamics and am overall glad that I worked myself so hard to achieve even a B.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:Thermo 2 - Dr. Wright teaches well. Her course expectations are clearly defined and the course is well organized. Her lectures move fast but are very helpful. However, she is probably the only professor at Baylor I've had who simply doesn't care about her students. She walks in, lectures, and leaves. And if you go to office hours be sure to know exactly what you are asking about otherwise she will tell you to leave. AND SHE WILL NOT TAKE LATE WORK!!!! If you can figure out how to take her tests/quizzes you will do fine. There are certain things (like understanding the 1st law) that she will hammer home. You have to be very detailed to get full credit!! Often times her tests are different than HW but not impossible if your understanding of the material is thorough. This class is hard but if you don't slack off like I did you'll do fine.  - Grade In Class:C

Comments:Thermo 1&2 - Dr. Wright is one of the smartest professors here. She definitely won't put up with your crap and she definitely will be very real with you. She is honest about her quizzes/homework/tests, but she definitely tests your ability to learn. She is almost always in her office. She seems scary but if you try to talk to her about Ark. State football or anything about her education, she usually opens right up. Not an easy class, but if you want to learn thermo there is no one else more qualified.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:Advanced Thermo - So...it's kind of difficult to rate Dr. Wright. A lot of people love her, a lot of people hate her. Her class and exams are extremely difficult, everyone agrees on that. In class she comes off as kind of rude and short tempered, but talk to her in her office and usually she's nicer. She does at least give everyone a grade bump if they try hard or do well on the final. Most of the people I know in her class were given a letter grade higher than they actually earned. I'd avoid if possible, but it's not like you're totally screwed if you take her class.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:2345 - Dr. Wright is the best teacher I've ever had. Dr. Wright is the hardest teacher I've ever had. Whoever says she's an easy A is probably a genius and shouldn't be writing reviews on here. I worked harder in this class than any other class in my life and I just barely made a B. Be prepared to work incredibly hard and have it not really reflect in your scores. Now, even though the class was very challenging, I can say I have a very clear understanding of thermo. In fact, I have a much better understanding of 2345 than any class I've ever gotten an A in. If you're EE, or general engineering, don't take her for 2345. if you're ME, prepare to be worked to the bone but to learn a lot from it all.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:AdvandedThermo - Don't listen to these other reviews! Dr. Wright is an insane nazi prof and her class is so hard. I worked three times as hard for her than any other prof. You have so much homework, her tests are incredibly difficult, and she grades super hard. If you can, don't take wright!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Advance Thermo - Super hard professor at Mechanical Engineering! If you are not super diligent, do not take her! She is a GPA killer!  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:ME 3345 - DO NOT BELIEVE THE OTHER RATINGS. Although Dr. Wright is a very brilliant professor, this class is NOT, I repeat, NOT an easy A. If you are looking for an easy GPA boost I would NOT recommend her as a professor. We have a quiz every single week while also having a homework assignment due the same day. She swears that she gives us 25 minutes of time on the quiz (which is not enough in some cases) and yet we truly only have 10 (it's only 25 minutes if you include the spare time between classes). The quiz portion of the grade is only worth 20 points while the 10 HOUR HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT is worth a MEASLY 5. Like I said before, I would not recommend her for an easy A.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:3345 and Int Heat - I had Dr. Wright for Advanced Thermodynamics, and intermediate heat transfer, (as well as a couple other classes), and all of them were great. For Advanced Thermodynamics: The workload was very easy (almost none). The tests were just like the homework, and short and sweet. She'll try to scare you into studying, but fear not, they're really easy. For intermediate heat transfer: The tests were even easier than advanced thermodynamics. Yes, the material is just a little bit harder than regular heat transfer, but you really don't need to study for the tests. All you need is a basic knowledge of heat transfer. In summary, you really don't need to study for any of her classes. If you're looking for an easy GPA boost Dr. Wright is definitely the professor for you. Definitely take her.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:4345 - Dr. Wright is by far the best professor at Baylor. She assigns very little homework, and her Tests/Quizzes couldn't be more straightforward. You only need to attend class to do well on them. She tries to pretend that her tests are hard, but it's only a ploy. TAKE DLW AT ALL COSTS!  - Grade In Class:A
