*A 5 star workload is an easy workload; a 3 star is average; whereas a 1 star workload is extremely hard.
Comments:4305 COIL - Going to start with never take a COIL class. They're horrible. Professor Woods does a good job at teaching the material that she is given. COIL is just a pain to work with, and it is not her fault at all. Not a bad professor, just unfortunate that she is stuck teaching a COIL class. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:4305 - Professor Woods is simply one of the sweetest professors out there. She is very engaging in class and really takes the time to get to know her students. She is very intelligent and qualified to teach any class in management. 100% TAKE HER and take the time to get to know her. she's the kindest :) - Grade In Class:A
Comments:4321 - If you qualify for this course, take it!! It is very laid back, and you learn a lot but there is almost no outside work. There is a little group project where you meet with a museum in Waco, but that is pretty straightforward. No tests, and a very manageable workload. Professor Woods is really sweet and caring! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:4305 - This class in general is useless, but Professor Woods does her best to try to make this class applicable. However, all of the work in this class is common sense, but that is not her fault at all that we are required to take it. It’s an easy A and she is also super kind. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MGT 4305 - I have had Professor Woods for multiple classes, and she is one of the nicest professors I have had at Baylor. She has unfortunately been stuck teaching MGT 3305 and 4305, which are classes that are requirements and most people check out of. However, she does her best to make it interesting and engaging. If you show up to class and do the work, it's impossible to not make an A since she makes the material accessible and sets you up for success. She literally gives you the grading rubric for any presentations or assignments you have to turn in, so there is not excuse for not getting an A unless you completely ignore it. I did also take her for her Leadership Practicum class, which is designed for student leaders on campus. This class was SUPER helpful and pertinent to me, since I was able to apply what I was learning to my student org and how I could improve it. Would highly recommend that class if you are a student leader. Overall, Professor Woods is a kind, sweet soul who really cares and wants you to succeed. She also has a ton of great connections and is always happy to help if you have any issues. If you try even a little bit, you can't fail her classes. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MGT 3305 - Possibly one of the most useless classes to take that is required by the business school. This is the kind of class that proves what premed kids think about the difficulty of business classes. No joke we literally had one activity where we connected the numbers on a piece of paper. Class is an absolute joke. Woods is still a decent professor but she radiates that overly excited line camp leader energy. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3305 - I took this class online. It was a really straightforward, easy class. Almost a bother, to be honest. Every week there's a reading, a quiz, a lecture, and engagement questions. Sometimes there are quick assignments. Tests are all open-note. Straightforward project. Pretty boring to be honest, I bet the class is better in person. It's an easy A even if you don't put in effort. Woods is nice and really encouraging. All in all, you'll have one of the better professors if you take her. Just don't expect a life-changing experience. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3315 - Can anyone give me a review of how this semester has been online with a review of rachel woods? To be clear I have this is not a review I just need to know if I should take this class. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3305 - Professor Woods is very nice and definitely tries to make class interesting. It's one of those classes that everyone has to take, so it does indeed help to choose one of the easier professors and she's one of them. From what I understand, Woods is a "middle-of-the-road" professor as far as how much work you need to do for her class. In my experience, it was an incredibly easy class. However, sometimes the reading and busy work-ish assignments can grow to be a little tedious. Nonetheless, it is all very easy. This class is something of a self-assessment leadership class. For me, it wasn't a problem, but it is also worth noting that each student starts the semester with a blank participation grid and you must participate 10 times in class in order to get the full participation points. If you are someone who is more reserved or shy, I would urge you to consider that before choosing Woods. Overall, her tests are easy and as long as you can study well and have common sense, you'll get an A. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MGT 3305 - I'm sorry but this is the dumbest course ever. I learned literally nothing. Woods is very qualified to teach this and is very intelligent, but she HAS SO MUCH DAILY WORK. 60% of your grade is based on dumb activities that you have to do in class, so YOU CANNOT SKIP EVER. Her midterm and final are a breeze though. She is really nice, but you won't pay attention. It's an easy class yes, but the large amount of random assignments really makes it hard sometimes because you have to keep up with a bunch of stuff. My only con about her as a teacher is that she can be a little sassy about things when you ask her questions after class. - Grade In Class:B
Comments:3305 - TAKE WOODS. She is by far one of the nicest professors I've ever had here at Baylor. She has such a sweet voice and is very approachable. On top of all that, she's really good at teaching this course and making sure students really understand what she's teaching. She's very big on participation, so don't expect to sit in class and not say a word. She also does a lot of team building with the groups for the group project. I've had some terrible experiences with group projects here at Baylor, but all the team building activities made it so much easier for my group to get along. We ended up working really well together and actually enjoyed working on the project. So, if you have to take this class I HIGHLY recommend taking Woods. I guarantee you'll become friends with a lot of your classmates and will actually learn something from listening to her teach. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3305 - This class is a straight up leadership summit for a whole semester. She teaches you important values that is very crucial knowledge for a career in the professional workplace. There is one group presentation for the semester with lots of reading quizzes. The exams are mostly multiple choice with some free response and are deceptively difficult if one does not prepare. The material is not difficult if you complete the readings. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MGT 3305 - OB - Dr. Wood is one of the kindest and most caring professors I\'ve ever had. Take time to get to know her! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3305 - Actually got an A-, and feeling pretty salty about it. There are only 2 exams in this class and both are poorly structured and a poor representation of what is covered in class, in my opinion. This class is pretty hard to get through honestly. The only reason I found myself thankful for this class was the easy workload while taking Corporate Finance and other classes of the sort. The class period feels very forced--like you are going through the motions. Dr. Woods has a participation chart that each and every student has to get her to sign 10 times throughout the semester. This among other things sort of sets an ingenuine tone for the class. You are there because you have to be (required for all business students) and it feels like it. All that being said, Dr. Woods is a very sweet lady. She is a very hard worker, has loads of students and balances it all very well. You can tell she loves what she does, she's kind of a dork about the material she teaches (in a good way). OB is just the worst, but everyone has to take it... so you might as well take Dr. Woods. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3305 - Dr. woods is awesome, take her if you can. Lecture was never boring, she had a couple of guest speakers, and the project was easy presentation on your take of a short chapter. You can tell she really likes org behavior & leadership. Really approachable and wants her students to do well. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MGT 3305 - It's super easy to get an A in this course if you put in the effort. There are 5 reading quizzes, a group presentation, a paper, a midterm and a final. The midterm and final are fairly straightforward and the majority of the questions come from study guides she hands out in class. The paper is a ten page self-reflection over topics covered in the course, but she gives the prompt well in advance so students can get a head start. Mrs. Woods sometimes gave me the impression that she wasn't completely passionate about the course content, but you should take her if you want an fairly easy professor. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:Negotiations - Dr. Woods is a great teacher. She owns her own leadership consulting firm in Waco, so she only teaches one class. Her class is very hands on, with a negotiation simulation once every two weeks. Take this class! - Grade In Class:A
