Comments:MKT 3305 - Not a hard class, but she makes it a litte harder than neccesary. The end of semester marketing simulation is fun, but the test on it is dumb. Also the tests are easy if you pay attention to her lectures, they are all based off the slideshows. The quizzes on canvas however are interesting, only based off the book not at all on anything we go over in class.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3305 - There is no reason for her to not have a 90+ score! Dr. David is a great professor. She tells us exactly what to expect on tests and even creates a review guide for us, in addition to going through what we do not need to study, so we are not wasting time. That alone has saved me so much time and has been a huge help to my test grades. She is very accommodating if you have something in your life come up. Just talk to her and she will be understanding. There is almost no homework, and the tests are straightforward. She even moved our test to when we wanted bc of Homecoming. She shows us fun videos and makes the class engaging. Great teacher, and would recommend everyone take her!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:MKT 3305 - Take her, it's an easy A. Class average is like 98 lmao  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3305 - This class is free, all of the quizes/test/homework are out of the book no lockdown.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3305 - At first, I was not sure about this professor...she was slow to respond to emails and didn't seem very helpful. However, her lectures were very helpful, the material in lectures/reading completely prepares you for the exams. The marketing simulation project at the end was kind of lame, but overall the class was not bad at all.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:MKT 3325 - Dr. David is one of my most favorite professors I have ever had. She is seriously so nice and loves marketing. Her lectures never failed to end early (like 30 min early) and she explained the content so well. There were three tests and a final, all were super easy and she even gives you a list to review before and a jeopardy review day. There were two group projects that you worked with in a group and they helped us understand the concepts even more. She is funny once you get to know her and really loves her students! TAKE HER!!!!!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:MKT 3305 - I feel like these negative comments are for a different Meredith David... I'm not a marketing major and I never pay attention in her class and have gotten 100%'s on 2/3 exams so far. Easy class if you're not a moron.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3301 - I took the nonmajors course asynchronous in the fall. Dr. David is really sweet and answers questions well over email. The quizzes were straight from the textbook, mostly vocab or basic applications and not lockdown. Her tests are a different story though. Not only was the “review” that she would post incredibly vague, she would emphasize that it wasn’t an exhaustive list. She hosted live q/a sessions where when asked about how to study for her exams, she repeatedly encouraged us to focus on lectures and not the book. However, her tests were more in depth than her superficial lectures. I think all of this isn’t delightful but it’s not unfair for a 3000s course. The part that was unfair was the 4ish week Marketing simulation worth ~25%. I cannot even begin to express how unreasonable this simulation and its assessments were. With minimal business experience (like most people in A NONMAJORS course) I was lost on how to meaningfully interpret such a large quantity of data. To my dismay not only did she offer practically no guidance on this, she actually made some sort of penalty for consulting her on certain aspects of the simulation?! Some groups were apprehensive and didn’t even bother to ask for help. The consensus from several groups in the class was that the way it was graded and the expectations she had for us were simply unfair given the lack of support.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:MRK - Very easy class. She was very nice and all the topics were pretty easy. Nice lady and easy A.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:MKT 3305 - I have no idea why her rating is so low. This is the easiest class I've taken at Baylor and she makes her PowerPoints really similar to the test. Professor David is super nice and wants to get to know all of her students. The only thing I didn't like was having to go to the marketing seminars because they almost always were a scheduling conflict with another event, but the class itself was really easy and interesting.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:MKT 3305 - Honestly, I don't know why she has such a bad rating. Dr David is a nice lady and will put in the effort to help you IF YOU ASK, she's not going to go out of her way if you don't show you're willing to put in the effort. The re-vamped project is not hard, it's a marketing simulation that is online and almost 100% in class. The online quizzes are straight out of quizlet and the notes- you don't need the book. I didn't think the tests were bad but you do actually have to study a decent amount, there are a few obscure questions but usually, she ends up throwing them out. The final is easy, she definitely doesn't deserve this rating.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3305 - She can't teach at all. She reads off a powerpoint and gets annoyed when people don't want to pay attention. The project is also a waste of time and had very little to do with marketing. I'm a marketing major, but this was one of my least favorite classes.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3305 - Dr. David is a nice lady, however, she is not a good professor when it comes to the way she grades. When asked for explanations on why she grades the way she does she cannot give a straight answer. I would stay away from her.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:MKT 3305 - Professor David is something else. The first class periods you are going to think that this class is going to be a breeze, but soon to find out it is the exact opposite. There is a major project that you are assigned to a group and that takes up a majority of your outside work in the class. The project is not hard, but if she does not like your idea it will hurt your grade bad. When you ask for feedback on it you get bland answers with very little stuff to help you on it with. The tests were multiple choice which seems easy, but not when you have to pick the answer she wants. She says study the powerpoint but the powerpoint has more visuals then it does information which are useless in the class. DO NOT TAKE HER UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE FURIOUS MOST OF THE SEMESTER.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:MKT 3305 - The workload in this class was not difficult, the only reason I gave it slightly above average workload ratings is because of the group project which just requires you to adapt your schedule with your group members. From the beginning, I had a hardworking group who wanted to succeed and get an A (which we did), but Dr. David was not very receptive to our innovation. She blatantly did not understand how it worked and was nice about it, but we all ran the idea by several other students and professors and got a very different response (including the HEB executives who complemented how we thought outside the box). My main problem with this class was the lack of purpose in lectures. You have to read the textbook and teach yourself the material (even though the textbook goes way more in depth than what you will need to know for the exams). Overall, this is not a hard class and Dr. David is nice, just a little detached from the class. Take it if you don't want to work harder than average and are not a marketing major.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:MKT - So shes not terrible but I wouldnt say shes amazing either. The course load honestly isnt too bad. There is online homework and mini sims but there are pretty easy. The tests werent too bad but sometimes there were questions on things we had never gone over in class which was extremely annoying. The worst part by far was the HEB group project. Group projects suck to begin with because people suck. But during this project Dr. David was so unhelpful. If she does not like your project idea you are basically screwed. If you go to her for help she will just keep telling you the things you did wrong but not tell you how to fix it and then look at you like youre stupid.... she can be quite rude.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:3305 - I was so scared to take this class because the reviews were so terrible, but honestly it is not too bad. Dr. David is nice, and really is knowledgeable about marketing. However, the group you get for the HEB project is make or break for your experience in the class (at least it was for me). I had a terrible group who did not want to do the work, and I was stressed about the deliverables constantly. I did majority of the project on my own, but we ended up making a good grade, so it was worth it. Just be creative with your innovation idea, and you are set as far as Dr. David is concerned. If you have to take this class, do not fear! You can do it, and it isn't too hard to make an A if you put in some effort.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:MKT 3305 - First of all, I want to point out that Dr. David's course is not that difficult in terms of coursework. The online sims are a little obscure but the book is helpful for those, the online quizzes are directly from Quizlet and the tests are fairly straightforward with some "surprise!! We never talked about this ever " kind of questions. But oh, the semester-long group project will RUIN your semester (at least it tried to ruin mine). From the start, Dr. David HATED my group's ideas. Not just your average "this needs some work" kind of hate... Oh no, I am talking "These ideas suck and yall need to reevaluate your life" kind of hate. When we presented the ideas we had to her, she gave us no constructive criticism... She flat out told us we need to get some new ideas. My group worked hard on every deliverable, working on it usually a week before it was due to salvage our grade from the low scores we kept getting. But guess what, that didn't change a thing. In a meeting with her she said the words "Hell no, I would never use your idea." Yes, she actually said that... at Baylor... she said H-E-double hockey sticks. Unbelievable. But seriously, what teacher does that?? Instead of crapping on us, why not offer some experienced guidance?? And for all of you thinking, "Yeah, your idea probably sucked" you're not completely wrong but it wasn't the most terrible idea and no one in my group was a marketing major and we weren't well experienced in coming up with innovations. Every time she gave us feedback, we would incorporate it into our deliverables trying to do something to help our grade. Guess what, it didn't work. WE USED HER FEEDBACK WORD FOR WORD AND SHE STILL TOOK POINTS OFF. Anyway, we worked hard, got poor grades, and got ZERO help from her. She DOES NOT care how much work you put into something, she only cares about the quality of your idea. If you truly want to learn about marketing and want constructive assistance in your project DO NOT take Dr. David.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:MKT - 3305 - Before I say anything, I would like to point out that some of the comments below are rather unfair and unwarranted. At first I feared taking the class because of these comments, however I was pleasantly surprised to say that most of the things they said are wrong. Dr. David is a brilliant professor who is constantly involved with marketing throughout her every day life. She does many interesting marketing studies and always has relevant everyday examples to attach to the readings. Now, it is true that you need to read the textbook on your own. However, you can use it for the online homework and the quizzes (open notes) and all you really need to read from it is the end summary of every chapter to do well on the tests. There is also an HEB project throughout the year (but this is mostly dependent on your classmates participating), and she is always available for emails or office hours when you need help with it. Overall I would recommend professor David and believe that her low rating on this site shouldn't discourage you from taking her class.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:MKT 3305 - This class was horrible. Dr. David expects you to teach yourself everything out of the book. She rarely lectures; most classes are a guest speaker or group presentations. For the group projects, she picks her favorites early and they are the only ones that get good grades. She will help you on the group project outside of class but she doesn't grade them (her GA does everything) so there is often a disconnect between what she says is good and the grade you get. The tests are usually verbatim definitions out of the book and all multiple choice. Overall, her grading (I guess really the GA's grading) was inconsistent and the final was departmental and impossible, covering things we have NEVER talked about in class or in the book. Do not take her if you actually want to learn marketing.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3305 - At first, Professor David seemed to be very nice and happy to be teaching. As the semester went on though, she got progressively snappier and more rude. She is a lazy teacher who ultimately expects her students to teach themselves out of the book rather than teach the concepts in class. Had I known what I know today, I would have never taken her for Marketing 3305. If you have an issue, be sure to go through her TA and save yourself some time because she will just refer you to them any time you try to contact her outside of class.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3305 - Principles of Marketing-This is one of those classes that most people agree is stupid but you just have to get through. There isn't really any great professors for MKT 3305, it's a pretty standardized course across all professors: daily quizzes, 3 tests and a final, and a group project. If you're a person that depends on the teacher to explain things, do not take David. If you have no problem with teaching yourself the material and doing extra work out of class, her class is actually pretty awesome. It's good because it's a great place to work on other homework, classes very rarely ever go the entire time, and Dr. David is kinda cute and has a nice booty so she's fun to look at compared to most professors. If you're in it for quality marketing learning, don't take her lol.  - Grade In Class:A
