Comments:1305 - Dr. Pinney is a nice lady but she is just horrible at teaching. Her lectures are pretty boring and you will without a doubt end up dozing off one way or another. People would literally leave in the middle of class because its more helpful to study her slide shows one your own rather than listen to her lectures since she talks so fast and rambles on often non related topics. The homework was fairly light but most her exam content is from her slides. Her exams are what will get you though because they are ridiculously hard. There are always 5 multiple choice answers with “none of the above” or “all the above” always included in the options. Would not recommend her if you value a good gpa.  - Grade In Class:C

Comments:1306 - Dr. Pinney isn't a bad person, she's very kind and means well. You can tell she's very passionate about her subject, but she isn't really that great at explaining the material. You'll have to rely on studying her powerpoints on your own time because she goes really fast and they're sooo so long, you'll zone out without a doubt. Her tests are the worst part. They're based on the powerpoints, but even then, good luck!!! All of the questions are application questions or true/false, and her wording is stupid confusing. I can't stress that enough. Most of her questions have like 6 answer choices, and she even admitted that more than one could be correct but "this one is MORE correct." She'll even put an answer choice with both of the "correct" answers in it, like "A and B," but you'll still get it wrong because her reasonings are super biased. Her tests are made to confuse you and I really don't see the point in that. It's like she purposely wants to fail her classes. Besides that, she has very few assignments and they're simple and straightforward, but they don't weigh much. Her quizzes are okay if you study for them, but they're NOTHING like her tests. Her quizzes actually make sense so don't base your studying off of that. If you can, take somebody else for this subject.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:1305 - Dr.Pinney is NOT great. She makes it very hard to get office hours in with her (she has one hour on tuesday/thursday, and good luck not having a class during that time) and doesn't really answer your questions over emails. her tests are always trick questions, and nearly impossible to get anything higher than a low B on. The quizzes are the same. I don't know anyone in my class who has a grade higher than a C+. She rushes through powerpoints, so good luck taking notes in class (I recommend typing them and then re-reading powerpoints at home after class and contributing your notes to them).  - Grade In Class:C

Comments:Bio II - Bio II - Lectures are so boring and pointless, literally nobody listens or just leaves right after quizzes (which are impossible because there are like 10 choices for one question) Powerpoints are vague but study those points in the book, pay attention to her in class examples bc she loooves those. The worst thing about this class besides her lack of clarity are her tests. The material isn't even hard if you read the book but her test questions are so vague and weirdly worded. She admits there are sometimes more than one right answer, i guess she just grades by which one she likes more! Test averages for the class are most always below failing which says a lot about her teaching. She isn't any help in office hours either.I have always love biology but this class made me hate it, take someone else if u can. She's nice tho  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:1306 - Pinney's lectures are extremely boring and because of this the class starts to chatter a lot because she can't really keep control over the class. Which makes it that much more difficult to pay attention. Make sure you study for the clicker quizzes and do your Mastering Biology if you miss a quiz or Mastering its not the end of the world because she drops 2 at the end. She also offers bonus at the end of the semester for attending a lecture relating to science and writing a small summary on it. Lastly she replaces your lowest exam score with your final exam grade which is very beneficial. Her class is not bad just study because a lot of the concepts are based on memory. She is pretty helpful though because before the final I asked her for a list of topics and she sent them to the whole class so that was nice.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:1306 - Honestly she has a lot of bad reviews on her and she's really not that bad. She has 6 clicker quizzes which are pretty straight forward if you just review the powerpoints. She also does mastering biology but that's like evry few chapters. Her tests are a bitch lol. They're like 50% true/false. If you think your crazy for thinking half the answers are true and only one false, you're not. She really be doing that shit. Study a week before the test, quizlet is helpful, and you'll survive -> Good Luck Charlie  - Grade In Class:C

Comments:1306 - Barely scraped by with an A in this course. The lectures seem to last forever and it's nearly impossible to pay attention. She gave 12 quizzes/homework assignments and dropped the two lowest, but the exams were based on specific examples of the material that were not covered in her lectures. Her exams also had free response sections. She's a very nice and intelligible woman, but her teaching style is pretty ineffective. It's not impossible to get an A, but you'll have to make a major effort to study the book material and sit through poor lectures. Take another prof if possible, but you can survive her course.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1306 - She is a good teacher but a bad lecturer. In class I would have no idea what she was talking about, but when I would personally go talk to her she explained it so much better. I would avoid her larger classes because she doesn't use a mic, the back of the room tends to be talkative, and she doesn't do anything to get them to shut up. Quizzes were not really clear and would happen at random times. Homework wasn't hard but it was so random I would forget we had it because we almost never did. She's a sweet person and if she sees you trying she'll do a lot to help you out.  - Grade In Class:C+

Comments:1306 - Dr. Pinney is a nice lady who knows the material. However, she is extremely boring in her lectures so much so that you will want to skip and read the book on your own to learn the material. Her tests are rather straight forward. You read the book and understand it and you will get an A. Her clicker quizzes are rather easy if you just read the book over the chapters it covers and she will drop the two lowest. This class is what it is but if you can take another professor I'd recommend doing so.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1306 - One of the worst teachers I have ever had at Baylor. DO NOT TAKE HER. Her lectures are super boring because she reads straight from the slides. Half of her explained material is wrong. Her test averages are way too low. And her quizzes are total BS. There's multiple right answers (she'll even admit this) but you can only select one. Plus, they're normally out of 5 so majority of people fail her quizzes.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:1306 - Pinney has very boring and long lectures and barely anyone pays attention in her class. You have almost one quiz per week and she also uploads all her powerpoints the day before the quizzes giving you barely anytime to study. Her lectures also don't cover all the exam material and she's also very unprepared for class. She even made the exam on the spot as we took it. Overall, she's not a bad person but she makes you really hate the class.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:Biology II - She demands a great deal of time and effort for someone who never gave any herself. Her tests, when she writes them, have very little to do with what was covered in class and her very short quizzes leave much to be desired. Definitely take another professor, but if you must, know that the classes themselves are pointless. Focus on reading the book and attending SI sessions.  - Grade In Class:C+
