Comments:Stats - Let me preface this by saying I HATE math. I literally (and honestly) just do not math - yes thats how I meant to say it. Math has never been a strong subject for me and I was terrified of having to take statistics. However, Ferg makes this class not only enjoyable but so easy to learn. You'll read a math novel (crazy right?) along with this class that helps cement everything he talks about. Again, not being a math person at all I would take this class over again - that's how much I enjoyed the class. Definitely take him if you have the chance you will be thanking yourself and your GPA immensely!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1305 - YAASSSS Ferguson YASSSSS. I love him he is my favorite professor at baylor behind my spanish teacher dr. Spinks it was so easy and extremely entertaining I got A's on all of my tests because he literally teaches you everything you need to know for his tests. There are quizzes and readings but its not that bad just remember to read before each quiz and you should do fine. Oh and he is awesome.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3402 - Ferg is by far one of the best Sociology professors at Baylor. I am NOT a math kid at all. I dreaded my high school calculus and statistics courses so the last thing I wanted to do was take statistics all over again. That being said, Dr. Ferg is one of the most innovative professor's I've ever had. He teaches statistics through a book called Naked Statistics, which actually if you take the time, is really a great book. It makes statistics real and interesting instead of just problems in a textbook. Truly one of the most enjoyable classes I've had at Baylor.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Into Soc - Take Dr. Ferguson! Hands down my favorite prof that I have had at Baylor. You will not regret it. He does reading quizzes but he readings are interesting and informative. He takes a matter-of-fact approach to sociology that is very refreshing. He is a phenomenal professor.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Intro into SOC - Dr. Ferguson is a great professor. he is very passionate about the subject and truly cares for his students. this class was very interesting and entertaining. he has lots of opportunities for extra credit. he does not teach by a book so if you like memorizing things I would not suggest taking him.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1305 - Dr. Ferguson is the absolute BEST professor I have had here at Baylor. He is so helpful and every lecture is interesting, he makes you actually want to come to class. Because of him I even picked up a minor in sociology.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1305 - Dr. Ferguson is great! He is extremely knowledgable and his class was very straightforward. We had 13 quizzes usually taken on Wednesdays over short readings we were assigned. Tests were over notes taken in class. We were not tested on the readings. The tests are simple as long as you read over your class notes the night before. Overall, I strongly recommend Dr. Ferguson!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:SOC 3354 - LOVE LOVE LOVE Professor Ferguson. He loves what he does and you can see it. The readings are discussed in class but only the things that are covered in class will be on the exams. Exams are part multi choice and part short answer. There are quizzes over the readings about once a week and as long as you read you should be fine.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1305 - Mr. Ferguson was and still is the absolute best professor I have had at Baylor to date. I never missed one of his classes because they were so entertaining and engaging. He has hilarious activities and videos to go with every concept and plays the best music before class starts by taking a poll of who wants to listen to what. Also, did I mention no textbook?! And homework is extremely manageable. Quizzes are only once a week, 4 questions, and very basic if you do the reading. If you do not take his class, you're doing life wrong. Mr. Ferguson is the very best Baylor has to offer.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1305 - WOW! Professor Ferguson is so passionate about this subject. Really great guy! I would take another one of his classes if I could. Weekly reading quizzes, cumulative final, but everything on the final was lectured over in class. Do NOT BUY BOOK! Tests were multiple choice. HE makes you go out and be "young sociologists" and turn in three papers on the observations you make and how it connects to both the lectures and the readings.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1305 - Mr. Ferguson is just a graduate student, but he is an EXCELLENT teacher! This class is very easy but you learn A LOT. He makes class super fun with different exercises that reflect what we're learning about. There is no book, he just assigns articles to read every week which you have clicker quizzes on. The tests are also super easy, they are questions directly from the notes. Just go to class and take detailed notes and you should have an A no problem.   - Grade In Class:B+
