Comments:World Cultures 1 - Dr. Zori is a great professor! I loved that he would do a lot of group activities where he would split up our small group and we would have to perform skits/ plays on the reading material. He was very good at staying on topic and making sure to emphasize the important parts of each text.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:The Vikings - Absolutely take Dr. Zori!! He is a fantastic professor and an even better person. Very knowledgeable about the Vikings, he has even worked on major archeological projects in Iceland excavating Viking longhouses. He demands a decent amount of work from you, but I really feel like the work has contributed to my knowledge; it was not busy work. You need to actually study for tests, but if you put in some time you'll do fine.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Vikings - Dr. Zori is very knowledgeable about the subject of this class and has the background to prove it. He is good to work with and I enjoyed his sarcastic sense of humor; luckily his jokes were able to land despite wearing masks. He does care about his students, but the best part of the class was the archeological influence Dr. Zori was able to bring to the topics we learned in class; he has an extensive background in studying Viking culture up close.  - Grade In Class:C

Comments:World of Cultures 1 - I love Dr. Zori, nice to look at and a great professor. There are quizzes but there are super easy if you do the reading. Exams are simple if you study, i didn't study much lol  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:1324 - I like Dr. Zori as a person, but his class seems to be boring. He does not do much in his small groups. I don't think he even read the books before our small groups.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:BIC - Dr. Zori is an incredible professor. He is very kind and willing to go above and beyond for his students. Dr. Zori is enthusiastic about what he teaches and his interdisciplinary background gives him a unique teaching style. You have to work hard to succeed in his classes but you will learn so much if you do.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:HIS 4325 - Dr. Zori is a great professor. This course requires a lot of reading though so be prepared. The sagas are the easiest thing to read, but the 'textbook' for each topic can be more mundane. All he has is 4-6 pop quizzes, midterm, 4-5 response papers, and a final for his grades. The pop quizzes can vary from short answer to multiple choice. The midterm and final are map identification, other ids, and a longer essay. He gives a study list, but that always seems to be way too much information for the actual exam. His lecture are powerpoints with limited text (so take good notes). Overall, he plans the course well and really is there for you to learn about something that is interesting.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:BIC 1324 - TAKE ZORI AT ALL COST! He is one of the best world cultures professors I have had. He is really funny in the classroom and makes sure that everyone is always tracking with him, He is an archeologist so he also brings some really cool information into the lectures and classes especially about vikings. I love Dr. Zori and taking him was one of th best decisions I've made.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Social World I - Dr. Zori is quite literally Baylor's Indiana Jones. The guy is an Archeologist of Vikings, and is always enthusiastic to discuss that topic with his students. He is also not very picky on tardies and gives you plenty of options when writing essays. His explanations are often simple like "the fish" (you will know what I'm talking about once you take his class). His favorite word is reciprocity, so as long as you pay attention and engage in class he will rewards your progress with better grades, as well as a sense of friendship that you cannot find on many professors. After only one semester in his class, I highly recommend taking Dr. Zori, especially if you are also a soccer fanatic.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:BIC 1324 - Dr. Zori is a wonderful professor and definitely one of the best in the BIC. I put a 5 for workload because the workload for each professor is the BIC for the same. He is very helpful at explaining during small group, and he doesn't grade the test essays too harshly. The same goes for the research paper. There is a quiz every small group, but as long as you do the reading, they're not that hard. I would highly recommend him.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:BIC 1314 - Dr. Zori is a sensational professor. He is very kind, knowledgeable, and leads excellent small groups. This course requires you to do quite a bit of reading and attend large groups which aren't always very interesting, but being in small group with Zori was what I looked forward to most in school this semester. The tests and quizzes are the same for all of World 1, but the journals (basically your only written homework assignments for the whole year) are very helpful in learning and are not graded harshly. Zori is not a very strict grader, as he usually just looks for a supported thesis for these journals and essays on the tests. In small group, he commonly takes certain sections from the text we are reading and has us observe it in a very interactive and interesting way that really is helpful in learning. His Viking studies background gives an interesting perspective on what we read, and what he has to say is always worth hearing. Zori is very kind, and good at always encouraging participation and guiding you to the right answers. I loved this class, and Zori was a huge part of that. Absolutely go for Zori if he is available!!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1314 - Dr. Zori is a great professor. He works well with students, describes his concepts well, and always has an interesting spin on the material we learn that day. I recommend him highly and always will. He is definitely one of the best professors in the BIC program.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:1314 - Dr. Zori is super nice. But the class was super boring. The small group was meaningless. It\'s all about Greeks and Romans. He is only interested in the vikings. Looks ain\'t everything.   - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1314 - I actually got an A-, not quite an A. Honestly, it really doesn't matter what small group professor you have, because your grade mainly comes from three big tests and a bunch of small quizzes, all of which are dependent on you. That being said, I think Zori is one of the better small group professor based on others' thoughts, as I have no basis of comparison. I'd categorize him as a fair grader. I did not get the grade that I expected on the Hindu temple paper nor did I get full marks on the test essays, both because I think I didn't have a formal conclusion, which is pretty silly. But I mean I guess all teachers have their preferences, so I guess if you just follow his suggestions, then you'll do fine.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2324 - Zori is a great professor. I had him for World Cultures II and tried to take him for Social World I but his class filled too quickly for me to get in. He's really a really great teacher, and he uses a lot of visual aides but he's also really good about making sure the class discusses the readings in the perspective he wants. And he offers a really neat perspective. He's an anthropologist, with a history background, and therefore has a lot of knowledge in the way of "how history has screwed with our perspectives." But he's not preachy either. He's also really funny, and has a great sense of humor. And he's super interested in his students. Like he's really interested in how their lives are going, and I've gone into his office just to talk to him. He's great, and I couldn't ask for a better prof.  - Grade In Class:A
