Hard pop quizzes, so you have to stay on top of them constantly, you can't get behind, always reading. The exams were so hard for no reason, so be prepared. The simulation at the end is super easy, though. I did end with an A, but I was worried I was only going to get a B for a while. Do all the extra credit he lets you do; otherwise, you'll regret it. That's the only reason I didn't get a B in the class.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3305 - Mostly easy. Kind of a funny class since I did not take notes during a single class period and I found it hard to believe anyone did! He moved through them at a mile a minute because you go through a chapter a day and have no time to dwell on terms or meanings because he makes it where your homework for that chapter is due before the class starts, not after. He just uses class time to go over questions a few selected examples of high-level stuff. Thankfully, this meant class time was really engaging because he was a stickler on no laptop notes, no phones out, and everyone paying attention. He learns all names very quick, so he loves to cold call pretty much every class, but even if you were way off, he would slowly guide you to the answer he wanted. The homework is unfortunately very tedious and is also not an automatic 100! I used a combination of AI and actually reading the textbook (included in your purchase of homework software) and still found myself getting a number of questions wrong. The tests were sort of in line with this, as they had high averages and you can’t bomb them, but it’s very hard to ace them because they are each like 50 MC questions and have answer choices that start blending together and are very similar. I continue to use the word tedious for this class because you also had to attend 3 PDP events and 3 SONA studies, which are obviously quick and easy, but just are a lot. With all that said, this class is still mostly really easy and with moderate effort should still be a very easy A and a fun time.  - Grade In Class:A

The content is easy, it's the way that the class is set up that makes this difficult. In class, he lectures and has powerpoints over reading you are supposed to do before class... so he won't go over all material that you need to know for the tests. Also, there are no electronics, you have to write all notes. There are short answer pop quizzes occasionally and he will cold call in class, so make sure you read the chapters before class. For the exams, you need to read and study pretty hard. Half of it is MC and half short answers... a lot of the short answers he pulls from the pop quizzes. He is a nice guy for the most part and tries to learn everyones name... however, a few times he did snap at some students in a rude way  - Grade In Class:A

He also gives +5 on every test for memorizing a Bible verse and writing it on the test. His class is interesting to listen to and he tells stories. Comments:4350 - This class is mainly reading yourself. Before class, we read a chapter and took a quiz online. We went over important concepts in the chapter during class but not everything. Sometimes we had pop quizzes to make sure we were reading. There were 4 tests and they were half multiple choice, half free response. They really weren't that bad if you read the book, but Hacker does not give a study guide which was tough. He is a great professor! I learned so much in this class about digital marketing that I will be able to apply in the future. At the end there is a simulation which is pretty confusing at first but you'll get it. Overall, I had to put in the work to study for the test to get an A but it was a great class.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3305 - He is such a great guy and teaches a faith-integrated curriculum which I admired. His classes mostly consists of lectures and we had reading quizzes that were from the assigned chapter reading. There were 4 tests and the biggest mistake that people made which caused them not to do well on the test was not reading the textbook- just doing something with the textbook. Oftentimes questions came straight from the textbook! I was doing so well in this class UNTIL the simulation. Take the simulation seriously because it can make or break you! The way he grades the simulation is just a little unfair compared to other professors I heard about.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:MKT 4350 - I don't understand how this professor has good ratings. He won't answer any of my questions, he does NOT prepare you for this exams, and his pop quizzes are ridiculously hard. He makes this class so much harder than it needs to be. To do well on any exams you legitimately have to memorize the entire text-book because the free response section is so detailed and he doesn't tell you what will be on the exam. He also tests you over detailed information that is never covered in class. Do yourself a favor and take just about any other marketing class.  - Grade In Class:A

He has 8 journal entries (which you can start at any point as long as you finish once you start), some beginning of the semester assignments, a final presentation, and a book application paper. He always answered my emails quickly and kindly, which I really appreciated considering he has no idea who I am. If you're taking him for the internship class, it should be easy to handle!  - Grade In Class:A

Tests are pretty easy and the option to take a certification exam instead of the final was great. For class structure, this is a highly participative class. In order to participate, you have to read/watch the videos before every class (which only a few people do). This aspect made the class not as enjoyable and pass slower since it's basically 60+ minutes of discussion a day. Usually it's the same 4-5 people talking every class. Overall, great class with little homework outside of studying for tests.  - Grade In Class:A

The only way to do well is to read the entire textbook because the questions are very specefic details from the chapters. He grades the marketing simulation project by ranking of scores, which is unfair because its difficult to navigate a simulation with multiple variables. This makes it inevtiable for students to get low scores. I have friends who took other marketing professors and their tests were a lot easier and the simluation was graded on participation. He's one of those classic teachers who thinks the whole world revolves around his class... it doesn't.  - Grade In Class:A

The tests are kind of hard just because there is SO much material covered but the second test we asked him to make a review and so he did and that kind of helped. The project is super easy so that definitely bumps your grade. Clicker quiz every Monday which is basic. By the end of the course you also get HootSuite certified for free which I have found very beneficial on job applications  - Grade In Class:B+

He asks for student input on assignments and the group project, then really listens to them. He shows a lot of commercials to explain what we're learning The reading is easy and there are clicker quizzes in classes that are 6 questions (5 and one extra credit). The tests are not hard if you read and pay attention in class. If you think there is a question that there could be 2 answers, you can go up to him after class and he usually gives it back to you if he agrees with you. There is a group project in which you wrote 1/2 page journal entries for 12 chapters about how what we're learning applies to our lives. This project was much easier than the group projects that most other teachers had. Loved this class!!!  - Grade In Class:A

He has a passion for his students and knows everyone by name. As for the course, he has quizzes whenever you start a new chapter but they are multiple choice and it forces you to actually read the book. His exams are fairly easy if you read the book, lots of terms from the book are in the exams. He also has a project that is actually fun to do. (create either a radio or youtube ad and a newspaper ad). He tries to put as little pressure on his students to allow us to actually be creative. TAKE HIM NOT cooper!!!!
