Thankfully, this meant class time was really engaging because he was a stickler on no laptop notes, no phones out, and everyone paying attention. He learns all names very quick, so he loves to cold call pretty much every class, but even if you were way off, he would slowly guide you to the answer he wanted. The homework is unfortunately very tedious and is also not an automatic 100! I used a combination of AI and actually reading the textbook (included in your purchase of homework software) and still found myself getting a number of questions wrong. The tests were sort of in line with this, as they had high averages and you can’t bomb them, but it’s very hard to ace them because they are each like 50 MC questions and have answer choices that start blending together and are very similar. I continue to use the word tedious for this class because you also had to attend 3 PDP events and 3 SONA studies, which are obviously quick and easy, but just are a lot. Comments:MKT 3305 - Professor Hacker is the sweetest professor! He genuinely cares about your success and wants you to succeed. If you are planning on majoring in marketing I highly recommend his intro course. The class does have an average workload and is not one you want to slack off in, but if you put in the effort, you will learn a lot and get so much out of this class.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:MKT 3305 - He’s not a bad choice, but I would take a different professor if I took this class again. Make sure you’re on time to class, or he’ll call you out. The exams are pretty challenging, but the free-response section isn’t too bad. It’s nice that he offers 5 bonus points on exams if you can remember a Bible verse he provides.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Digital MKT - ALRIGHT, I'm gonna give you the truth. This class I thought was gonna be an easy A. I hate to tell you it's not, you sadly have to try to get one. The content is easy, it's the way that the class is set up that makes this difficult. In class, he lectures and has powerpoints over reading you are supposed to do before class... so he won't go over all material that you need to know for the tests. Also, there are no electronics, you have to write all notes. There are short answer pop quizzes occasionally and he will cold call in class, so make sure you read the chapters before class. For the exams, you need to read and study pretty hard. Half of it is MC and half short answers... a lot of the short answers he pulls from the pop quizzes. He is a nice guy for the most part and tries to learn everyones name... however, a few times he did snap at some students in a rude way  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:4325 - I had the most incredible opportunity to learn from Professor Hacker during a transformative month-long study abroad trip focused on International Marketing in the European Business Seminar. Professor Hacker's teaching style was exceptional, employing an experiential and practical approach to education. Rather than relying on monotonous textbook definitions, he skillfully incorporated real-life examples and case studies into the course, making the subject matter come alive. One of the most valuable aspects of Professor Hacker's teaching was his encouragement of class participation and discussions. While he already had a class of enthusiastic learners, he had a knack for creating an inclusive and engaging environment where everyone felt comfortable sharing their thoughts and ideas. This collaborative atmosphere fostered deep engagement with the course material and allowed us to learn from each other's perspectives. Professor Hacker's ability to explain complex marketing concepts was remarkable. He had a gift for simplifying complex ideas and presenting them in practical terms that resonated with us. Comments:MKT 3305 - Take Hacker!! If you do the readings you will be prepared. Homework is super easy. To study for tests, I would literally just go through all the terms in the chapters we covered, and basically just re-read the chapters. If I did this, I could guarantee an A on the tests. He also gives +5 on every test for memorizing a Bible verse and writing it on the test. His class is interesting to listen to and he tells stories. If you put in any effort, you will do well in the class.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:4350 - This class is mainly reading yourself. Before class, we read a chapter and took a quiz online. We went over important concepts in the chapter during class but not everything. Sometimes we had pop quizzes to make sure we were reading. There were 4 tests and they were half multiple choice, half free response. They really weren't that bad if you read the book, but Hacker does not give a study guide which was tough. He is a great professor! I learned so much in this class about digital marketing that I will be able to apply in the future. At the end there is a simulation which is pretty confusing at first but you'll get it. Overall, I had to put in the work to study for the test to get an A but it was a great class.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3305 - He is such a great guy and teaches a faith-integrated curriculum which I admired. His classes mostly consists of lectures and we had reading quizzes that were from the assigned chapter reading. There were 4 tests and the biggest mistake that people made which caused them not to do well on the test was not reading the textbook- just doing something with the textbook. Oftentimes questions came straight from the textbook! I was doing so well in this class UNTIL the simulation. Take the simulation seriously because it can make or break you! The way he grades the simulation is just a little unfair compared to other professors I heard about.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:MKT 4350 - I don't understand how this professor has good ratings. He won't answer any of my questions, he does NOT prepare you for this exams, and his pop quizzes are ridiculously hard. He makes this class so much harder than it needs to be. To do well on any exams you legitimately have to memorize the entire text-book because the free response section is so detailed and he doesn't tell you what will be on the exam. He also tests you over detailed information that is never covered in class. Do yourself a favor and take just about any other marketing class.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:4395 - I took Prof. Hacker for the internship course, which is completely online. He has 8 journal entries (which you can start at any point as long as you finish once you start), some beginning of the semester assignments, a final presentation, and a book application paper. He always answered my emails quickly and kindly, which I really appreciated considering he has no idea who I am. If you're taking him for the internship class, it should be easy to handle!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3305 - Nice professor! Class is interesting and theres plenty of discussion and student participation. Easy assignments, easy quizzes, but the exams aren't that easy, surprisingly. probably will want to read the chapters if you want to excel. Offers bonus and extra credit often.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:3305 - The friendliest professor I've ever taken at Baylor. The tests are weighted very, very low and that makes the class very forgiving. I straight up failed the third exam and I still have above a 95. Take this man.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:4350 - I cannot say enough good things about this class. If you know nothing about digital marketing, do not worry. Professor Hacker is an amazing teacher and will make sure that you are set up with all of the tools for success. Comments:4350 - Professor Hacker is an awesome guy. He's really nice and enjoys what he does. This class is pretty easy and you'll learn some good things from it. Tests are pretty easy and the option to take a certification exam instead of the final was great. For class structure, this is a highly participative class. In order to participate, you have to read/watch the videos before every class (which only a few people do). This aspect made the class not as enjoyable and pass slower since it's basically 60+ minutes of discussion a day. Usually it's the same 4-5 people talking every class. Overall, great class with little homework outside of studying for tests.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:4350 - Ugh, I love this guy. Such a fun class & he is a huge reason why. He loves what he teaches and his students, and wants to help us not just in academics, but in life. Tons of extra credit & tests are fairly easy if you read/watch the videos/take good lecture notes. The beginning of the semester is kindof work heavy, but it really evens out as we go throughout the semester. Highly recommend!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3305 - He has probably been one of my favorite teachers by far. You can tell he genuinely cares about his students and wants them to succeed. The coursework is not hard at all, just read the textbook and pay attention in class. He goes over all the topics you need to know for the test. Comments:MKT 3305 - Yes he's a good teacher, but his class is the hardest. He makes his tests way trickier than they need to be. The only way to do well is to read the entire textbook because the questions are very specefic details from the chapters. He grades the marketing simulation project by ranking of scores, which is unfair because its difficult to navigate a simulation with multiple variables. This makes it inevtiable for students to get low scores. I have friends who took other marketing professors and their tests were a lot easier and the simluation was graded on participation. He's one of those classic teachers who thinks the whole world revolves around his class... it doesn't.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3305 - I loved how helpful professor hacker was with any concept I did not understand. There are multiple quizzes that are simple if you read the material and study. His test are pretty straightforward, but the tests can be tricky if you cannot apply the material in an example. Most tests are multiple choice and short answer. Amazing professor!! I learned so much from this class! Highly recommend!  - Grade In Class:B+

He cares for students, guides them along the learning process, inspires passion for digital marketing, and cultivates a fantastic classroom environment. And he doesn't waste a minute of class. He sometimes gives life advice and he is very approachable! If you have any questions or concerns (especially with the group project), talk to him. He also isn't kidding about putting your phone away during class, if he sees it out he will call you out. You need to study for the test and need to understand the ideas in practice. Comments:3305 - He is a great professor! The class is not bad as long as you read for the quizzes and for the test KNOW ALL THE VOCAB WORD FOR WORD! Passed all the test but on the first one didn't do as well and was hard to bring my grade back to an A. He drops 5 quizzes. There is a semester long projected due but as long as you put everything on the powerpoint that he ask (whether it is right or wrong) you will get 100. A very nice man, only bad side is if he you get to know him, he will call on you in class. Other than that, you would be dumb not to take his class.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Digital Marketing - Big fan of Hacker. His class can occasionally be slow but the topic is so relevant to marketing. The tests are kind of hard just because there is SO much material covered but the second test we asked him to make a review and so he did and that kind of helped. The project is super easy so that definitely bumps your grade. Clicker quiz every Monday which is basic. By the end of the course you also get HootSuite certified for free which I have found very beneficial on job applications  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:MKT 3305 - Love love love this man! Definitely one of the best professors at Baylor! If you have the chance, pleeasseee take him! His exams are pretty easy plus he gives you extra credit on them. For the extra credit, he gives you about 10 questions, a week to the exam and asks you three of them for extra credit. Made a 100 on three exams and 196/200 on the final! He is an amazing professor! take him :)  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:MKT 3325 - Hacker is literally the nicest person I have ever met. If you ask him for help in any way, he is willing to do anything for his students. He asks for student input on assignments and the group project, then really listens to them. He shows a lot of commercials to explain what we're learning The reading is easy and there are clicker quizzes in classes that are 6 questions (5 and one extra credit). The tests are not hard if you read and pay attention in class. If you think there is a question that there could be 2 answers, you can go up to him after class and he usually gives it back to you if he agrees with you. There is a group project in which you wrote 1/2 page journal entries for 12 chapters about how what we're learning applies to our lives. This project was much easier than the group projects that most other teachers had. Loved this class!!!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3305 - Take him! I didn't mind sitting through a long class since it was once a week because he made his lectures interactive. The quizzes are really easy if you do the reading or use the study guides in the back of the book. Tests are fine, just go over the slides. He's a really nice person and the only real work was the project (deadlines throughout the semester). Grades really fair on the project as long as you do the work. I would take him again if possible.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:MKT 3305 - Professor Hacker is a great teacher. He is very passionate about his work and the students. His quizzes and tests are passable as long as you do the readings. Nothing is too seriously hard in his class, you just have to keep up with what's going on. I loved his attitude and loved how he wanted to get to know every single one of his students. He was a great lecturer who made his presentations interactive. I would definitely take him again if I had the chance.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:MKT 3320 - TAKE HIM!!! Hacker was my absolute favorite professor this year. He transferred from Oklahoma because he felt called to Baylor. He has a passion for his students and knows everyone by name. As for the course, he has quizzes whenever you start a new chapter but they are multiple choice and it forces you to actually read the book. His exams are fairly easy if you read the book, lots of terms from the book are in the exams. He also has a project that is actually fun to do. (create either a radio or youtube ad and a newspaper ad). He tries to put as little pressure on his students to allow us to actually be creative. TAKE HIM NOT cooper!!!! I switched out of her class the first day...so thankful I did!!   - Grade In Class:A
