Comments:ME 2320, BME 4376 - Dr. Jonathan Rylander is arguably one of the best engineering professors at Baylor. I first had him for ME 2320 Statics, although at the time of writing this it seems he does not regularly teach it, so that was a one-off. Nonetheless, he taught the information exceptionally well and was the reason I was able to have such a good foundation going into Mechanics of Materials after taking him for Statics. I then took Dr. Rylander for BME 4376 Medical Devices Design & Eval, where he again was a great professor. He is incredibly competent and is very understanding of the stresses that come with being an engineering student. His tests are very fair and he teaches the material in ways that students are able to understand. If you have the option to have him as your professor for anything, then take him!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1301 - The tests and the homework are super fair. His best quality is how much he cares about his class and his students. He is super personable and compassionate. You can tell he understands what it is like to be a stressed student. He helps a lot with projects. The only quality that I think he could improve on is to grade quicker. He graded a lot of assignments in the last couple of days of class. I don't know anyone that was affected by this though.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:STATICS 2320 - Great professor. He is very nice and caring. Exams are similar to reviews. HWs are just long and you have to show your work. Great prof tho.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:EGR 1301 - Dr. Rylander is a super nice guy, I highly recommend taking him. He's very friendly and his lectures are engaging and interesting. Exams and homework are fine as long as you put in the study hours.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:ME 3322 - Dr. Rylander is amazing. He made the class very understandable even to those who don't necessarily like the subject, such as myself. He assigned homework every week or two, but it was never an overwhelming amount of work. The homework had a good balance of conceptual questions and work out problems to match the exams. The exams were mostly conceptual, with 2-3 work out problems at the end. They were extremely well written, and if there was any issue with a question's wording, he would throw out the question. The best part of having Dr. Rylander as a professor was his willingness to help us students. He had an open door policy, saying that if is office door was open, which it often was, his office hours were in affect. Furthermore, when exams were coming up he would extend his hours, typically being at Rogers until 8 PM answering questions for any student. The night before the second exam, he flew in from a conference and immediately came for one of these extended office hours and helped students from every section, regardless of their professor, get ready for the exam is a large study session. I looked forward to attending his class every single day, and really enjoyed learning from him and getting to know him. I will always highly recommend Dr. Rylander for any class he teaches.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Biomechanics - Rylander is probably my favorite prof in the engineering department. Great guy. Super helpful. His door is always open. I've had him for multiple classes and would absolutely recommend him for anything he teaches.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:Materials - Nicest guy in the world. Absolutely no reason not to take his class. His lectures are interesting, he posts a ton of helpful material online, and exams aren't too hard.   - Grade In Class:A
