Comments:ENG 2310 - AMAZING, TAKE HER! One of the best professors at Baylor. She makes class interesting and genuinely cares about every one of her students. Every class starts with a one-question quiz, but she will give you big hints on what it is; all you need to do is read the material before class. Then there are three writing exams throughout the semester, and many of the questions come from in-class assignments. It's not a typical essay that benefits non-English majors who have tougher workloads in other classes. You will look forward coming to her class and will be happy that you took her!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ENG 2310 - Take. This. Professor!!! You will not regret it. She is one of the best teachers/professors I've ever had. I think someone else said she was born to teach and I wholeheartedly agree. She is the most dynamic speaker and so engaging. She genuinely cares about her students and if you go to her office hours she will be so excited to ask you all sorts of questions and get to know you. The workload is not bad at all, mostly reading and some little participation assignments, and 3 bigger assessments throughout the semester. These are just a bunch of short answer type questions about each of the readings for a unit, not even like an entire essay or anything. Also, she requires everyone to participate once every class but this can usually just be one word if nothing else. As someone who usually struggles with participation and public speaking anxiety, this was never a problem in her class because she gives you space to think and work out your answers and makes sure everyone is heard. When you do speak, she will make you feel like the smartest person ever even if you don't give the exact right answer. I cannot emphasize enough to TAKE DR. DANIEL'S CLASS!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:American Literacy - BEST. PROFESSOR. EVER. Dr. Daniel is likely the greatest human you will ever get the honor of coming across. Teaching is her CALLING. I literally looked forward to coming to her class every week and I’m not an english major. Her essays are totally manageable and she helps you the whole time. The workload is super doable. There is a quiz each week but never hard if you pay attention—which isn’t hard to do because she is a magical and captivating woman. Take her class or you will miss out on the best Baylor has to offer.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2310 - I took Daniels' 2310 - American Literary Cultures in the COVID summer of 2020. She was such an amazing professor. She was always available and made the learning incredibly enjoyable. I absolutely hate reading, but for Dr. Daniels' class, I thoroughly enjoyed the class discussions and the books we read. Dr. Daniels is incredibly caring, her cheesy jokes keep you laughing, and even despite the COVID mini-mester, Dr. Daniels was both incredibly understanding and willing to help students in any capacity. I would recommend Dr. Daniels to everyone because she was such an amazing professor. Her class consists of a couple of papers and all the tests I took in her class were short responses based on in-class discussion and the books and materials we read. As long as you do the required work and stay on top of the lectures you should have no problem excelling in her class. The homework was relatively light as long as you space the reading out. The tests were somewhat difficult but she is lenient on grading and only docks you on points if you completely botch it (she looks for every opportunity to give you points rather than take them away). Dr. Daniels is such a caring and amazing professor. TAKE DANIELS!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2304 - TAKE HER! She is an awesome person and really fun to be around! She always brings a good energy to class and she really makes the material come alive for everyone! Your grade consists of daily participation points and 3 tests including the final which are not hard at all! I studied the night before for every test and got above a B on everyone of them! Overall really cool professor and really interesting class! TAKE DANIEL!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2304 - Dr. Daniel is without a doubt one of the greatest teachers I've ever had and certainly the greatest prof I've had at Baylor. Her number one desire is to see all of her students succeed and for them to do their absolute best. She genuinely cares for her students. The workload isn't hard and most of what you do in class is discuss what you read. Exams are fair and she tells you all you need to know for it. She is open to just about any answer to anything and will support it. Her anecdotes about her going to teacher conferences are always hilarious. Dr. Daniel is the kindest soul ever and you should take her at all costs. You won't regret it.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ENG 2304 - TAKE HER IF YOU CAN!!!!! Dr. Daniel is the kindest, most respectful, encouraging, and highest-regarded professor I've had in my four years at Baylor. She cares about her students and makes even material we necessarily wouldn't have liked before the class fun and interesting. I have a new-found passion for poetry after Dr. Daniel's class and hope to maybe start making some poetry of my own. She is generous, but also knows when and how to lay down the law. I've seen the shyest to the most outgoing people in the class laugh at her humor. She is down to earth and the best all around professor I've ever had.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ENG 2304 - American lit- Do yourself a favor and take her class. I am a business major and she is the best professor I have ever had. I seriously look forward to her witty humor every class. She actually makes English interesting. Also she gives a few minutes break in the middle of class to recover from 1 hour and 15 minute class periods. If you put in effort and listen during class, you will get an A and you will learn about sexy Whitman and hot Arthur Miller (both I had never heard of before this class).  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ENG 3390 - Let me preface this review with the fact that this is not hyperbolic; Dr. Daniel is truly the most magnificent person and professor I have ever met. If you were to meet with her, you would most likely immediately think the same. She is, above all, incredibly intelligent. She's a sharp lady who knows her stuff! She is admirable, warm, funny, energetic, and will truly take you on a literary adventure. I have her scheduled as a professor for a different course next semester, and I am incredibly excited to see her and work with her again! As an English major, she is a lovely role model, but even non-majors will find her super exciting and endearing. Now writing comes pretty easily to me, so I did end up making As on the papers and finishing the class with a solid A, which for her, is a 96. I know that sounds high, but don't let it scare you away! She is a fair grader who wants to see you improve. She allows a rewrite of the first paper, and it brought me from a low 90 to a 100. I actually cried when I heard -- literally heard, because she grades the paper and provides feedback through audio files. How awesome is that! It doesn't matter what she's teaching, I will be drawn to this professor like a magnet! If you have the opportunity to take a class with her or speak with her, TAKE IT!! :)  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Am Lit - TAKE HER CLASS! She tries her best to make topics interesting and brings a lot of energy to the classroom. She truly loves what she does and is willing to help students at anytime. One of my favorite Baylor professors. She made a not-so interesting class, interesting. Take her class without hesitation.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:2304 - TAKE HER FOR AMERICAN LIT!! She is the nicest, sweetest, most interesting lit professor you could take at Baylor. She is very inclusive of all opinions and never shoots you down. Her tests are very straight forward and always follow what we talked about in class. You will most likely have an in class test and a take home essay portion that are very hard to do poorly on. Dr. Daniel is one of the best professors I've had at Baylor. She genuinely cares about her students in and out of the classroom. take her!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ENG 2301 - BritLit: Dr. Daniel is AWESOME. I have never really liked or understood British literature or poetry before but she has changed my view on it. I'm an even better reader now because of her. She is fun and she challenges us. You receive a point for participation (required) each day you speak up at least once in class. This may be intimidating at first but she is so wonderful about making you feel great about your opinions and your take on a topic. It makes you a better student. There are 7 reading responses you will have to write over any line of your choosing the piece of literature being covered the next day. They are really your thoughts on a line in the text and just 2 pages long, double spaced. I loved how she wrote comments on our papers and tests with words of encouragement or answering questions. Tests are T/F, fill in the blank, and then mostly essay. Don't stress b/c she prepares you very well for the exams. TAKE THIS PROFESSOR.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2301 - Dr. Daniel is the absolute best professor I have had at Baylor. She brings joy to what she teaches and loves the subject and connecting with her students. Each day of class was great and enjoyable. SHE IS THE BEST TAKE HER.   - Grade In Class:A
