Comments:3316 - Persuasion: I really like Dr. Rhidenour. Her class is engaging, and she's funny and extremely passionate. She wants everyone to participate so she always randomly calls on people..this is my least favorite thing about her, but it's not hard to make something up. There is a lecture activity due almost every Sunday which takes 15 minutes max, 3 tests and a final project. The tests are a little bit hard but you just have to make sure you do the readings, and she offers a ton of extra credit. The final project isn't hard and you don't present in front of the class  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:Comm - Kayla is a great professor. I learned a lot about rhetoric and challenging my different viewpoints. I have taken a few of her classes and would recommend anyone take her and Paige Gloeckner.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:CSS 1302 - I took her class online in the summer. Although, I didn't meet her in person, she seemed nice. There was a quiz at the end of each week that was multiple choice except for the last two questions, which were the short answer. The quizzes were easy as long as you read the textbook and take note of the definitions. We had to present four speeches by recording them and uploading them to canvas. If you have a hard time remembering things or don't want to present a speech in front of your class, then I suggest taking her class online in the summer. She was a fairly easy grader, which balanced out the amount of reading we had to do. There were three weeks where she assigns five chapters to read. It's very important to read the chapters in the textbook because that info will be on the quiz, and her lecture videos don't cover that. Because of the many chapters, I would usually finish reading that same day; the speech was due. Therefore, I would have about 12 hours to write my speech, revise it, record it, edit the recording, and upload it to canvas. But she's a nice teacher so take her class!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Theory - Not gonna lie, Rhidenour at first comes off kind of strict and stern. However, she lays out what she wants as crystal clear as possible. If you don't show up to pass you'll won't pass. Test are pretty easy just know the definitions in the textbook. Test will format like this: 40 multiple choice/ true or false questions and one EASY essay. For the class in general, make sure you keep up with due dates because she won't really remind you. There is no such thing as a late grade, either you turn it in or get a zero. Honestly there is no excuse for you to get at minimum of a B in this class. If so your just pure lazy.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:CSS 3310 - Other than the fact that her personality infuriates me and she has this aura of superiority towards all of her students, then I guess this class is fine. A lot of work to keep up with, but she's not a tough grader. From what I have heard, definitely take her for Comm Theory over McNamee (way harder). Just don't expect to like her.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Comm Theory - This class is not a blowoff but Rhidenour makes it totally worth it. She's an incredibly interesting person and a great professor. Take her!!!!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3310 - This is a must take in my book. The class is not hard. However there are weekly blog posts and if you do all of them you will make a great grade. The tests seem really hard due to the amount of material. Just study the basic ideas you will make an easy B. Put all of this together and you will make an A! Enjoy the class!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:CSS 3316 - Great teacher - she treats students with respect and dignity. Recurring HW of a weekly blog was tedious. Tests were reviewed the class before and the information came straight from the powerpoints/lectures. 35/50 pts were MC, rest were a short answer essay question. Homework was given at most every other week (outside of the Blog). Great class!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:CSS 1302 - Dr. Rhidenhour was a great professor, with a moderate work load. The workload include four speeches. Two of these speeches are independent, one is a group project, and the fourth is a Youtube Vlog. Follow her directions, and take notes in class. It also consists of easy quizzes that hardly require reading in the book. I'd recommend.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3310 - Dr. Rhidenour is one of the best professors I have had at Baylor! She is extremely caring and really wants you to succeed. I had her for Communication Theory and it was honestly a lot more engaging than I realized which was nice. In order to engage in class you do have to do the reading before which isn't bad and if you are ever confused on the chapter she is more than willing to explain or the class discussion will help you understand. As far as workload it is not bad and you do have to do a blog weekly which is super easy and if you follow the instructions you should get a perfect score in that grade category. Plus, she drops the lowest three so if you don't procrastinate and do all of them, you can essentially skip out on the last three. You do have a paper and a project which hold a lot of weight on the grading scale but it is designed to help you and not punish you so do your best on those. In addition, there are two exams, a mid-term and final and as long as you do the study guide, you will do very well. Overall, 10/10 I would recommend her!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3316 - Persuasion - Really charismatic and entertaining professor. Super nice lady. She cares a lot about her students and especially if you've had her before, you'll be just fine. The weekly blogs are pretty tedious but they do force you to do the readings and if you do the readings you'll get an A on every test. She lets class out early most days which is nice. All around great professor.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1302 - Dr. Rhidenour was not a very good teacher. She never teaches you. She expects you to teach yourself from the book. She was not helpful if you asked her how to make your speeches better. She gives quizzes that are ridiculous and they will lower your grade even if you only miss a few questions. I would NOT take her again. I learned nothing in this class and was very frustrated when I worked on my speeches because she has no grading rubric so you don't know what she looks for in your speech. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:CCS 3316 - I absolutely loved this class. Dr. Rhidenour is very passionate about what she teaches in this class, and it makes the whole course way more enjoyable. She is very honest about the load of course work she gives, but if you do all the work, such as writing weekly blogs and reading weekly articles, you will do just fine. She admits that her course load is a lot at first, but she structures it this way so you will have less to do in the end. Her tests are EXACTLY like the notes she gives you in class; just study the powerpoints and you will be fine. Her tests are also half multiple choice and half true/false.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Persuasion - Oh my gosh AVOID. I tried to get out but it was too far in the semester. She herself is great and cool, would be her friend outside of class. Her course, not so great. She assigns so much reading each class, 10 blogs which are graded strictly and her tests are nightmares. There are so many other rhetoric courses, pass this one up.  - Grade In Class:C+

Comments:1302 - Dr. Rhidenour is an amazing professor! She may seem to be a little strict and rude with her students at times, but if you just listen to and follow all of her expectations you will be fine! The speeches you're required to present are not that hard and if you follow her outline she will most likely give you an A. She also lets you out of class really early some days and there are days where class is considered a "research day", where you don't have any class. The workload can be stressful at times if you procrastinate, but if you keep up with what she wants you to do it will be so easy.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Speech for Business - Dr. Rhidenour is a really great teacher. We had a great book that wasn't too expensive and used very modern examples. She didn't overkill the class material and often had engaging activities and had us watch Ted Talks. I really feel I can us a lot of what I learned outside of class. BE VERY CAREFUL ON CITATION. I lost so many points because I cited things incorrectly and wish I would have made time to go in and talk to her. She's very approachable and is really willing to help you. She offers extra credit for going to speeches, so definitely take advantage of that. Do not fall asleep in her class. She will remember. She will harass you about disrespect. Awesome teacher. Definitely take her if you can!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1302 Speech for Prof... - She's not that nice of a person. She teaches from a powerpoint pretty straightforward. Meet with her early because she'll make you feel bad if you're only asking for help late. Theres 4 speeches to give and 3 written tests. The final is just another written test given during class. If you try you will generally do well. I didn't read the book outside of class and I did good on the tests. They are harder than you would think, and you do need to study the information but almost everyone passed them all.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:1302 - Professor Rhidenour is the best!!! I was her student her first semester at Baylor and I'm so glad I got to meet her. Besides being a super cool, and wonderful person, she's a great professor. If you put in effort and give interesting speeches you will do just fine in this class. Her test are not that hard, just read, study your notes and you will pass!  - Grade In Class:A
