Comments:3315 - TAKE HIM. I took international politics with him, and it has been my favorite class so far. If you are interested in the subject you would love him as a professor. He is very passionate and knowledgeable. He has a great sense of humor and will always make class enjoyable. He gets to know you all and that makes class better! You get out of the class what you put into it, so if you put in the effort and are participatory in class youll do just fine. You have 3 tests and discussion posts regularly. GREAT CLASS I LOVED IT. Im not usually one to like class but I always enjoyed going to his.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3355 - Professor Campbell is always kind and patient to my questions. I had hard time with taking down all the words on the ppt. And he was kind and gave me chance to takebthem down during the break or after class. His explanation is clear and he used examples to help explain. The examples are always helpful and easy to suitable. He was not the professor who I earned my highest grade from but his courses are those which I would consider as helpful. I would always recommend his course  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:PSC 4v94 - Interesting class but he will always teach with a conservative bias, which could be a very good or very bad thing depending on your political views. Great professor in general.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:3315 - I took 3315 with Campbell over the summer, definitely would recommend this teacher. There were only three grades: Packback HW -- 20%, Midterm -- 35%, Final -- 45%. The final was not cumulative, and Campbell provided a study guide for both exams. DEFINITELY USE THE STUDY GUIDE. The tests were multiple choice, lockdown browser. His questions will all come from the lectures, there's really no need to do the readings if you pay attention in class and take good notes. Campbell is very engaging and super helpful if you have questions about the material. I really love this professor and I hope to take him again in a future class. Take him if you can.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3315 - Dr. Campbell is a really great, kind professor who genuinely enjoys what he is teaching. The workload consists of one Packback question and answer due each week, two mid-terms, and one final exam. There are two books required for this class, and together they are a bit pricey. I took this class during the pandemic, and I found that his online lectures were well presented and not at all time-consuming. We had two weekly zoom meetings in which we asked questions about the lecture and were encouraged to use what we learned in real-world situations. He does ask questions and will (sometimes) call on people to answer, but he won't scold you if you happen to give him a different answer than he was looking for. Overall, he is a really kind Professor who cares a lot about what he is teaching and his students! Take this class with him if you can!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3315 - Due to COVID-19, I had to take this course online, but it was the best online course I have ever taken (and I had taken a lot before transferring to Baylor). Dr. Campbell made an effort to get to know each student despite the class being an online format. He cares about each student’s success and is equally knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the subject he teaches. His lectures are clear and if you take good notes and study them, you should do well. I purchased both of the recommend books, but never opened them and got an A in the class. If you’re confident in your ability to listen, take notes, and process the material, then you’ll do well. If online instruction continues, make sure you go to the Zoom calls he offers because he will help you sort out any questions you are having regarding the material. Workload is discussion board through Packback and two exams. Exams are fair and he doesn’t ask questions that he doesn’t cover. He’s quick to respond to email so if you’re struggling, reach out to him.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3315 - This course is really interesting and honestly, Dr. Campbell teaches it in a way that you know he is passionate about the subject. His tests are gradually a huge percentage of your grade, but each test reflects his teaching. I would recommend doing packback question, reaching out, and doing everything extra credit opportunity he gives.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3315 - One of the best professors I've ever had. Super nice and knowledgeable and very willing to help students succeed. He has been very helpful and is organized and clear on his expectations. The course is super interesting and the workload is very reasonable. He does a good job of engaging students and is very fair in his grading. I wish he taught more classes because I really want to take him again. I will forever recommend him and he is one of the reasons why the Political Science department is so amazing at Baylor.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3315 - One of the best professors I have had at Baylor. I hope he will teach more than 3315 later on because he is extremely knowledgeable about the subject and truly wants to get to know and help students.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:PSC 3315 - Campbell is the bomb! He's insanely knowledgeable but very approachable and cool. Workload is fair, and he's very clear about his expectations. The research paper deadlines were laid out well, and I actually enjoyed writing it. Super helpful outside of class too, so make sure to go in and talk with him.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:PSC 3315 - Great teacher- very passionate about International Relations. What's really great is that even though it's clear that he is extremely knowledgeable about the subject, he doesn't treat his students as inferior or push his ideas on them. For homework you have to submit thought questions, which can be tedious, but at least you actually have to think about what you're reading. There is a mid term, final and one paper. He gives detailed outlines for the 2 tests and helps you prepare way in advance for the paper so it's not too bad. If you have a T/R class he also gives a 5 minute break each class so your brain can breathe. Seriously a great class! He cares about his students and is always available, even brought us cookies for the final exam!!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:PSC 3315 - Dr. Campbell is fantastic. He's really well educated, and he's Canadian, so he isn't afraid to point out where America has screwed up in the past. He's funny, and he does his best to be unbiased when presenting information. He's also just really concerned about how his students perform. He has the class rate him after the midterm, to try and fix any problems people are experiencing. He also does reviews of old material at the beginning of every class. He's really helpful, but sometimes is hard to see in his office. Just send him an email or make an appointment, and he'll get to you. His grading system works like this: 10% participation/homework, 20% midterm exam, 30% midterm paper, 40% final exam. The homework consists of thought questions, which is basically you developing an analytical question on ten of the readings throughout the semester. It's not hard. The exams were pretty easy--he'd gone over all the material in class very explicitly, and as long as you read and understood all the concepts it was easy. The paper was also easy, and I got a very good grade. I highly recommend taking him, and I will be in the future.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:PSC 3355 - Dr. Campbell is one of the best professors in the political science department. He has extensive background in war studies: military operations, insurgencies, etc. Makes classes interesting and engaging while still delivering pertinent information. Grades fairly and is rather lenient on papers and exams. Midterm/Final are only tests and do require a good amount of studying. Class combines theory and case study--highly, highly recommend the professor and course.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:PSC 3315 - Fundamentals of International Politics--Campbell is excellent. Take his class. He's very knowledgable, extremely organized during his lectures, and really engaging to listen to. There's probably an average of 20 or 30 pages of reading per class and his tests are very thorough/require a lot of studying (It's an upper level class after all) but it was nothing I couldn't manage. The grade is based on a midterm exam, a research paper, a participation grade (based on the readings), and the final. Not exactly an easy class, but really enjoyable and definitely worth the work. I learned SO much and I'm actually kind of sad that it's over.  - Grade In Class:A
