Comments:MGT3325 - the goat of ops mgmt. no classes on fridays and the exams are literally from the study guide. take him if u can and you will not regret  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:MGT 3325 - Really wholesome and calm guy. He's a bit awkward at times, but you can tell that he genuinely tries to engage with you as long as you try to engage with him. He just has this soothing personality that I wish some other professors also had.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3325 - He's a really nice guy and it's not a hard class, just kinda a waste of time- not his fault though. His MWF class is actually MW so he's worth taking just so you don't have to be there on Friday.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:MGT3320 - Dr. Strakos has a low BUBOOKs score but honestly I really enjoyed his class. He's a bit quiet and monotone but he really cares about SCM and teaching. He was always very accomadating and even pushed back multiple deadlines just cause we were getting super busy with other classes. There are a few online quizzes and 2 tests, both tests are chill if you have a good group to study with. There is also a short presentation (mine was 4-5 minutes and I got a 100/100, he cares about quality over quantity), but he is a very lenient grader. There is a case competiotion which EVERYONE SHOULD DO. It took my group literally 4 hours on a zoom call and we didnt have to take the final. If you do well enough you can even get an automatic final grade of 93, 95, or 100 for top 3. I dropped by his office hours a few times for help on work and he was always happy to see me. Most of the time we would just end up talking about random things. He is retired Air Force which definitely factors into his general vibe, but if you treat him with basic respect and courtesy I promise he will be the coolest teacher ever. He is also the faculty for the ASCM club and gets super excited if you talk to him about it.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:MGT 3325 - Very easy class, tests are only 25%, and then a bunch of quizzes and a lot of other assignments. Just kind of a filler class at least with this teacher. But overall a super nice guy.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:MGT 3325 - Strakos is a great guy. He is somewhat monotone, but overall very good. Class work is very easy if you follow the schedule and do the pratice exams/quizzes before the actual exam/quiz. He basically gives you exactly what will be tested but with different numbers. Highly recommend  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3325 - Felt like I learned nothing and was just there most of the time. Very lenient, and helpful. Most of the work was just simple calculations, and he cut out a major section because he was sick. The BEST part of this class was it was a MWF schedule with MW in person and F online, but every Friday we never had to do anything. If you try a little bit you should have no problems getting an A.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3320 - This class is actually so easy, I don't know why he has a horrible rating. There are 4 tests including the final and they are all open note. The first one was all online. The second test was an excel modeling test so you had to have the models correct from class- this was a little tedious but manageable. If your model was incorrect he had videos that would help aid your corrections. Then if you have an A before the final you don't need to take the final. There are quiet a few busy work assignments but I didn't mind them as well as a lot of quizzes but you get multiple attempts on all of them. There is a group project portion that requires a good amount of work, so I suggest finding a good group.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3325 - I seriously don't know why Strakos has such low reviews. This class definitely isn't a blow off class so that may be why. Dr. Strakos may not be the most charismatic or energetic professor, but he eliminates BS (or "waste", as he may call it) by putting pretty much everything you would need to succeed on Canvas. This includes videos that straight up give you the solutions for the homework. Even if you're not a supply chain major, I'd still recommend him if you are willing to put in like an hour or so of work everyday for a solid A. You could probably get away with an hour a week if you were fine with a B. That's how doable this class is.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3325 - Operations Management-- Strakos is such an oddly meek man. The way he teaches is so spineless and unhelpful. I think he would cry if you yelled at him tbh. He drowned us in assignments the whole semester which was just exhausting. The exams are weighted to really be module quizzes and weighted much lower than exams in my other classes which is actually very helpful. The Goal was actually really helpful for me and pretty easy to get through. However, I do think some of the concepts are almost glossed over and very difficult to apply on Strakos' quizzes. He just makes it kind of hard to recover from one or two rough weeks and having like 7 assignments/quizzes in a week didn't make me want to like him. Overall, he made a class that's actually pretty easy and required for all business majors (as in, it isn't just a supply chain class) very complicated. Do not recommend.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:3320 - Strakos is a good professor. He isn't like extravagant, but he's good. Very chill dude. The tests are like 7% and its your GROUP project that will be the biggest weight of like 30% which goes on during 3/4 of the semester. Overall, do what he says, go to class, and you won't complain.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3320 - Dr. Strakos was a pretty easy but effective teacher. There is not much work associated with the class and the tests are easy. With that being said, you still learn the material very well throughout the class and I feel prepared for more Supply Chain classes  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:MGT 3320, MIS 3325 - I took both Ops Mgt and Distribution MGT at the same time with Strakos and cannot recommend him enough. Strakos explains things well, has many office hours, offers extra credit and allows you to have a cheat sheet on the final. He is the BEST! Plus, some of the exams are online and MC!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3320 - Dr. Strakos is a nice guy, but an average teacher. You don't do much in class, but will be given a lot of excel models to do outside of it. If you don't have much excel experience, you might get lost like I was. Everything test is open note, but some of the tests are still a little hard.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:MGT 3320 - If you don't mind teaching yourself the material for any major assignment you will be fine. Strakos is just not good at math (which he downright says) but when it comes to excel modeling, it is a big issue when students are confused. He just says "use the formula" but then is disappointed when students don't understand what they are calculating. I mean I got an A in this class so its not like the material is difficult, he is just hard to talk to and ask him questions because he seems unsure about the material himself. He is a nice man but just doesn't have the teaching ability most Baylor students expect when they sign up for major specific classes. I would take someone else.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3320 - This class was by no means very hard, but it was probably one of the most frustrating classes I have ever taken at Baylor and it was all because of the professor. I received an A, so this is not a review from a bitter student who received a poor grade. The issue with Professor Strakos is that he is extremely unclear about his expectations for tests, and he assigns you homework and test material that he has not taught yet. Towards the end of the semester, he gave us several homework assignments over safety inventory that he had not taught us how to do in class. Due to this, the class ended up failing and he had to postpone the assignments. After teaching us the material, the class did fine on it. Funny how that works, huh? Besides his frustrating teaching style, Strakos is extremely timid and unable to answer questions in class. On several occassions, a student in the class would ask him how a formula works and he would simply respond by saying that the formula just works and that we just need to memorize it. He doesn't understand the material that he is teaching. This makes the excel modeling assignments very hard since they include complex formulas that he doesn't explain. Strakos assigns a project for this class that's pretty easy and counts for 15% of your grade. He grades relatively easy on it, and it ended up being my saving grace for getting an A. Trust me when I say this is the only redeeming part about the class. As far as the workload, the class doesn't require much outside work except for when he slaps you with a huge modeling assignment. The tests aren't tests- he breaks the class into 5 open- note semester quizzes which is nice in case you bomb one of them. He also drops on of your semester quiz grades if you receive a higher grade on your final. Overall, I absolutely hated this class and I would not recommend taking Strakos if you can help it. You will regret it.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3325 - Dr. Strakos does an excellent job making a boring subject interesting an easy to understand. Tests are very straight forward based on the reviews with no trick problems. Attendance counts so make sure to show up. Extra credit is offered as well.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:MGT 3320 - So Strakos is a super nice guy and he does really care about the success of his student which can be unusual sometimes in the bschool, but he lacks in many other areas. He is very unclear about what his expectations are on assignments and his test reviews include "most" of the material on the test but he always manages to leave out something. He's very strict when it comes to his grading policy so don't ever turn anything in late. Overall not a bad teacher at all, just tougher than he seems at first. I went from an A to a B in the matter of 2 days right before finals. The problems he does with spreadsheets are super hard unless you are a genius at excel.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:MGT 3325 - Professor Strakos is a very nice and caring teacher. He truly cares about your life outside of the classroom, and he's very helpful during office hours and wants you to succeed. He's ex military and this was his first semester at Baylor, so he's still kind of getting used to teaching and finding ways to present the material in an efficient manner. TBH, a lot of us had no clue what was going on in class regarding the material, but his tests were very straightforward and exactly what was on the reviews. There are only online quizzes, and some homework grades based off excel spreadsheets you have to build. He offers a lot of extra credit opportunities, and attendance is factored into your grade.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:3325 - One of the nicest professors you will ever come across. This was his first semester teaching at Baylor as he recently just retired from the military. He tends to speed through the material, but if you show up to class everyday and ask him questions during office hours or after class, his class should not be too bad. There are no group projects or any presentations that you have to do. Everything is either done through Canvas or in class. Attendance is 10% and he actually takes roll everyday so just don't skip because the attendance grade updates each class period on Canvas.  - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2016-11-30

Comments:3325 - Dr. Strakos is not the best teacher ever, but is extremely kind, caring and in general, a wonderful person. All of his quizzes are online, and as long as you have done the class work, they are easy to do well on. His tests are simple if you do the review, and he keeps class interesting. Overall, Ops is a class you should take with Strakos.  - Grade In Class:A
