*A 5 star workload is an easy workload; a 3 star is average; whereas a 1 star workload is extremely hard.
Comments:ENG 2310 - The class is VERY easy as the weekly quizzes are online and not lockdown, and most of the readings you don't even need to really do as she goes over them in class. Also there is quite a bit of reading through the year. Morris is very sweet and kind but she is SO BORING like seriously I would struggle to stay awake in class and I am normally a very engaged student. So if you want an easy A, take this class but if u want a good English class, I'd probably take a different professor. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2310 - Dr. Morris is very nice. The class is very discussion based, but not many people participate which makes me sad for her because I know she tries really hard to make class engaging. There are reading quizzes, but they're super easy. The exams are pretty easy and straightforward. You will have an essay due toward the end of the semester but its not terrible, just some of the instruction is a little vague. She is very sweet and always willing to make herself available for you. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1301 - I took Dr.Morrison my freshman year; it was probably the easiest class I've taken at Baylor. She grades a little stricter on the final paper, but every exam is easy if you do the review (The review has ALL the answers) I would say if you just show up and do the readings you can get an A. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2310 - I don't know why her ratings are so bad. She is a pretty decent teacher, and I really do think she cares about her students. You can like low key chat gpt the quizzes and stuff and just pay attention to the summaries online and you should be able to figure the rest out. Chill grader, exams are pretty easy, just like show up to class and do the reviews that she gives you. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1310 - Dr. Morris is so so sweet! Her class is very centered around in-class discussion, but participation is not mandatory. The homework is just the daily reading (which will take about 1-2 hours) and a 3 question reading quiz. The only essays you will have to write for this class are the midterm, one 5-page literary analysis, and the final. In my opinion she's a pretty easy grader, and this class is really light aside from the length of the readings. As someone who usually hates English and writing, this class was very doable and pretty interesting for me. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2310 - Professor Morris's class is fairly easy, but it is extremely boring. You'll be struggling not to fall asleep most days. Aside from the problem of boredom, I don't have much complaints. The length of daily readings can be intimidating but I usually skim through them and don't have to recall the finer details. The readings will usually include a reading log which requires you to choose a quote from the reading and explain it briefly which only takes about 5 minutes. There are two tests: a midterm and a final which are both very easy. The class before the tests are review days in which she practically tells you exactly what's going to be on the test which makes studying very easy. If you only care about the easy A, professor Morris is a good teacher, but if you actually want to have fun, you should choose someone else. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:F - So here is a little bit of a story.... I am a current Senior, but I took this class my Freshman year. I had such a horrific experience that I signed up for Bubooks just to write this review... 4 years later. I worked very hard in this class and by the time that our final exam was due at the end of the semester, I think I had a B in the class... maybe even a B+... So I go home for the summer only to find out that my B had become an F. So (naturally) I email the professor totally confused as to why I received an F in the class. After what felt like an eternity, she finally responded that I had not used enough scholarly sources on my final paper... and apparently, she told the class during a day that I was absent that if we didn't use 6 scholarly sources on our final paper, we would fail the whole class, regardless of our final grade... I looked over the whole syllabus, and she didn't say a single think about this MASSIVE pass or fail requirement. But she was quick to inform me that, "She mentioned it in class." So then I looked at all of the sources I used, only to discover that I had more than 6 scholarly sources, that the Baylor library itself had labeled as "Scholarly" sources. I emailed her about this and she told me that she is the one who gets to decide what is scholarly regardless of the library labeling my sources as "scholarly." Finally, I asked politely for the professor to meet with me about this issue on campus. I had already gone home but teachers were still on campus. She did not respond promptly at all and then refused to meet with me or even discuss her grading beyond a brief ( less than friendly ) email she sent me. She said, 'We can talk about it on campus next semester.' Long story short...... Horrific experience...... The teacher I took to retake this class was honestly so much better.... - Grade In Class:F
Comments:1302 - Professor Morris is one of the better English teachers in the English department. She is super sweet and you can tell she truly cares about her students. I would say that not all of the class sessions are the most centered on what is being learned and what you are going to be writing about, but that is just for about the first half of the semester. The essays that you will write in her class are standard for the ones you will write, take time to go to her office hours and work on them with her! She will help you so much and wants to help you - she does not act like you are inconveniencing her at all! Your grades in this class are based on participation and essay writing, so just make sure that you take time to be active in the class and write your essays well and you will succeed! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1302 - grades as if freshman students know how to write on a college level, without ever teaching them how to write. class is irrelevant to our essays. in total there are five essays- one for each unit, and an in-class final. the thing that sucks is she is a hard grader, and essays are the only thing that make up a grade in the class. - Grade In Class:B
