Comments:MUS 2301 - Great professor and great class! Has lots of fun just in his own way. The class has a small workload, he tells you everything about the test beforehand, and he is extremely conscious of the demands that other classes and the hills and valleys of the semester's schedules put on students (especially music majors). Teaches concepts clearly, accurately, and effectively. Always kind to students who are struggling with the concepts. Pay attention in class and you're gold!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Theory I - For years prior to the start of my time at Baylor, I had heard about the esteemed and lauded Dr. Maxile (Waco native). Whithout fail every music upperclassman I encountered, upon hearing I was in his theory class, told me how much fun I would have, and how luck I was. They were correct. In general I rather detest online classes, however this class still managed to be enjoyable, despite the less-than-ideal circumstances. Dr. Maxile is an excellent teacher. The lectures were clear and helpful, the assignments were rather short and not at all overwhelming—he even knew how to use Canvas! There were 3 tests and a handful of quizzes, but Dr. Maxile never sprang anything difficult or unexpected, and there were quite a few opportunities for bonus oints throughout the semester. I expect that in future years, I shall be the upperclassman congratulating freshmen on their fortunate choice of theory sections.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Musicianship II - Dr. Maxile's class was excellent! He is a great teacher and gives out lots of helpful tips and information. He's also a relatively easy grader and gives out lots of extra credit. He'll tell you exactly what will be on the unit quiz and exam upon starting a new unit. He's also all-round a really friendly and nice guy.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Musicianship II - By far the coolest professor in the School of Music. I absolutely loved Dr. Maxile's class. He is an incredible teacher that knows his stuff, and will make sure you do too. He gives lots of hints and strategies to help you be successful. His assignments are not too time consuming, and will really help you in this course. Overall great professor, and I'd definitely take him as many times as I could!   - Grade In Class:A
