Comments:BUS 3315 - Dr. Alford is awesome! She brings a lot of energy to class and makes sure there’s some form of real life application in her class work which I appreciate compared to other blow off class work I’ve experienced in other classes. She’s also just really nice and personable, she worked with me and some other classmates through some projects we struggled with and was always trying to help us succeed in her class.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:BUS3315 - Professor Alford is the best because she embodies a perfect blend of qualities. She's not just nice, but also fair in her assessments, making the course load manageable. Her sense of humor makes the class enjoyable, and she's easy to take seriously while still being approachable and easy to talk to. She makes the learning experience very personal, which fosters a genuine connection with her students. Plus, her hilarity is unmatched, making her lectures both informative and entertaining. In short, she's amazing in every way.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3315 - The workload is not worth taking the class with Dr. Alford. The workload is way too much and not enough allocated to turn in assignments. The only good thing about the class was attendance was based on finishing a discussion board. Writing assignments made it seem you were in an English Literary Class. The class was immaterial in terms of learning.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:3315 online - She is such a kind lady that really does have a heart for teaching. She has a couple different times for office hours each week and they are helpful if you need help with something. Each week typically had some sort of assignment and discussion post due, but they were typically easier than expected. The thing that I absolutely hated from this course were the online assignments due each week. I don't think she really had a choice with coursework, since there's not a ton with this subject outside of a classroom, but wow the "SmartBook Assignments" sucked. There would be about 2 or 3 chapters due a week and they each took 1-1.5 hours EACH to complete. The issue was, you were just answering the same questions over and over again and half the time, the answers seemed incorrect. Other than that, her grading is straightforward if you read over the requirements before you turn it in and she is more than happy to help in almost all situations. She is also very uplifting in what was such a tough semester for everyone. Definitely one of those feel-good professors!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:BUS 3315 - DO NOT TAKE! She is the actual worst. In class she makes fun of students and picks on them. She doesn't respect other peoples beliefs. Expect countless worthless assignments online and huge in class projects that are due in an unreasonably short amount of time during the busiest weeks of the semester. She has multiple homework and projects due on the same day and when I asked for an extension possibly on just one since it was midterms week she laughed at me in front of the whole class. In addition her voice is so annoying. She thinks this is the most important class you'll ever take and thinks you should act the same. Just overall terrible. Take anybody else!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:buss comm - Okay, I have no idea why her rating is so low. You are required to do the same amount of work as every other class. She gives SO much extra credit if you do that it easy to get an A. I would HIGHLY suggest taking her she is SO SO sweet. take her. ignore the other reviews  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3315 - Alford is fun to have as she brings a lot of energy to her classroom even at 8 AM, the class will mainly be assignments throughout which aren't that bad along with a White Paper assignment which you will be put into groups for and have to do a presentation on. There are also assignments due online every other week. The major thing was the grammar which can be difficult for some people but most people should be able to do ok on the final grammar in the end. She also has extra credit opportunities but you will have to look on canvas for them as they will show up sometimes without anyone knowing about them. But fun class overall.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:BUS 3315 - Got an A- in the class... This class is the biggest waste of time. The final exam is 70 SAT like grammar questions and everything else is the class is writing assignments. The homework is a waste of time because it's completely unrelated to the classwork. The worst part about this class is you are not grading on your writing ability, rather, on your ability to suck up in class and laugh at her shitty jokes.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:BUS 3315 - Okay so this class is a lot to be honest. There are only assignments, no tests. That's just part of her style of learning. Alford is extremely helpful to all her students and is super knowledgable in career management tactics as well as super great with tips about Grad schools. I only liked the class because I liked her as a person. She can be a tough grader on the assignments that she gives though so you have to be prepared to put in a decent amount of effort on all your assignments to do well in the class. Her grading scale is super strange as well. The whole semester is based out of 100 total points that you can earn, so in the beginning losing out on 1 point may not seem like that big of a deal, but towards the end its the difference between an A and an A-. Overall the fact that the class is confusing at times isn't that big of a deal, you just have to stay on top of all the assignments. Taking her class is totally worth it because of all the great advice you get from her. She stayed after class with me for 20-30 min prepping me for an interview for an internship I had coming up. She encourages her students to come to her office hours just to chat about stuff and honestly she's just very helpful and inclusive.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:3315 - Dr. Alford is my favorite professor at Baylor. Look past the reviews below that are harsh. There is a syllabus that clearly outlines the homework, projects, and assignments. This class is somewhat subjective, so although many students complain about inconsistent grading, it is vital to see her and get her opinion. Imagine tailoring and essay you are writing to appeal to an English professor, but apply that to Resumes, Cover Letters, and Business Cards. Furthermore, she enhance my resume strength, taught lots of interview skills, and has made finding internships very helpful. The class uses a point system - a 92 is an A and you get EC opportunities and attendance incentives. I would take Alford again, and I would recommend her above all of BCOMM teachers.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3315 - Dr. Alford is a nice professor, but she is unreasonably disorganized. There are so many assignments in the class, and her grading is honestly just a mess. However, she does not give tests, so that is nice. The semester long project felt super pointless, and she did not give good instructions at all. All in all, if you do your work and put in effort, you should make an A in this class.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3315 - 3315 is an easy class so you should get an A no matter what professor you take, but try to avoid Alford. She gives an unnecessary amount of work for this type of class. She's extremely picky about the work you turn in and gives inconsistent grades. Attendance somehow makes the biggest impact on your grade. There are no exams, just the Final and a group project that is pretty similar to the one in MKT 3305. Take another teacher and save yourself the headache.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3315 - This was Dr. Alford's first semester teaching here at Baylor, but it sure didn't seem like it. She is extremely sweet, and I can tell she wants everybody to learn the material. The class is not hard, and I learned a lot. Take her if you can!  - Grade In Class:A
