Comments:3305 - This class is a lot of work, but that can be said of all Baylor Spanish classes. I love Moisés! Though much of this class is literature based, Moisés will burst into song or play his guitar, making his lectures entertaining and engaging. He talks 95% in Spanish, but at a very reasonable pace and sticking to vocab students know. In other words, you shouldn't get caught up on what he is saying, which is great. 3305 was the last class I needed for my foreign langugage requirement, but I chose to take one more semester with him since I enjoyed 3305 so much.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2310 - dr park is an awesome teacher. i took dr park synchronous online during summer for spanish 3. he was a very chill teacher who understands that the class is hard and does not really expect too much from us. his class has a decent amount of homework but its all on vhl. i had 4 vhl exams, one vhl final, and 2 oral presentations. he does give out pretty low participation grades at first to encourage students to speak up (he'll raise it throughout the semester i started with a 75 in participation and ended with a 95) but i would try and participate as much as possible. he is super passionate about spanish and language and is overall a really a really fun prof. would take!!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3305 - Best professor I've had at Baylor.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3305 - Dr. Park is probably one of the best professors out there. His classes are really interesting and actually gets you to engage into discussions. He is an easy grader, so if you try, your class grade will be at least a B. 3305 was an upper level course so there was more work to do, but overall it's not too bad. HIGHLY RECOMMEND  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3305 - Dr. Park is easily the best professor I've had at Baylor. I understand this does not come with much merit as almost everyone says this about a professor they love, but I genuinely mean it. He is so helpful, and tries his best to ensure everyone is understanding what is going on in the class. I have taken seven semesters of Spanish at Baylor thus far, and have not had a professor as good as him. He is a very fun professor, filling the class with pop culture references and going very in-depth with his analysis of the text. He says things that will catch you off guard to ensure you are paying attention. If you are looking for a SPA 3305 professor, look no further than Dr. Moisés Park.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:SPA 3305 - I just made a bubooks account to write a review for Dr. Park bc of how amazing he is.I was really nervous at first when people started dropping out of the class at the beginning which now makes no sense bc the class is so easy yet we still learn a lot. We learn a lot of new content but he makes it so digestable and so easy to understand that I don't think I would be doing well if it was any other professor. He is also such a fun dude he always brings in pop culture references and makes class so much fun. I look forward to this class just because how fun of a guy he is. 10/10 would have drinks with him. I walked into this class not liking literature and scared about how difficult it was going to be but it is not bad at all and he emphasizes what he wants for the exams. The exams are also not difficult in any way lol they're sooo easy and he makes so he's helping you get a good grade. Pls take him if you have to take SPA 3305, definitely easier than the other profs. He makes the content and class just super fun.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:SPA 3305 - Dr. Park is an excellent professor. He is very animated and draws things on the board which is good if you are visual learner. He is always available in office hours or by email. You do have to do some reading for the class, and the tests can be kind of tricky, but it's not too bad. Overall he prepares you well and makes class entertaining.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3305 - Snr. Park is AMAZING!!! He is honestly the best Spanish professor I have had at Baylor. He cares immensely about what he teaches and it is very evident in all his lectures. He is extremely understanding when it comes to coursework so if you're ever unable to prepare for a class, it isn't the end of the world. He provides study guides that prepare you well for the exams. As long as you do the readings, pay attention in class, and take decent notes, you should be perfectly fine to make an A. If you get the chance, I would 100% recommend taking Snr. Park's class!.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3305 - This is a HARD class that requires you to really work but Dr. Park is amazing and he makes the class so fun. The test are challenging but he gives out extra credit and he tries to help all of his students to be as successful as they can.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:SPA 3305 - The tests were difficult, but Dr. Park thoroughly prepares you for them. He gets involved in the readings and into his teaching, in a way that makes you want to learn. His classes can be both serious and funny, he keeps you involved in the class and wants you to continue being involved in Spanish.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:3305 - Dr. Park is the most engaging and fun professor I've had in college so far. He's a great guy who cares about his students and really loves Spanish. He has an amazing story. The homework load was moderate, but a lot of self studying is required to do well on the exams-- they are really pretty difficult. The tests were in class, and had to do with what we learned earlier, but in more depth. Overall solid class, but pretty difficult.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3305 - Dr.Park is the best and my favorite professor I've had so far!! Take him!!! Spanish lit sounds boring, but he always made class enjoyable and interesting. The only homework he gives is reading and answering a few questions about it, and then he goes over what you read the previous night as a class so nobody is left confused. There are only 3 exams, but he adds other things like diarios, participation, and memorizing a short poem and a song, which are easy A's so that helps your grade a lot! Before every exam, he gives out a study guide and the exam closely resembles the study guide, so make sure you know everything on that and you will do great! Each exam is also free response or matching. The final was a research paper, but it only had to be like 1,000 words which is really short, and he gives you deadlines of things you need to have done for it in advance, so he doesn't let you procrastinate. So, when finals week came around, it was nice not having another class to worry about studying for, by that time I just had to do revisions. He also gives so much extra credit!! At the end of the semester, I had an 89 and after he put in all the extra credit I ended with a 95. The only downside is that he uses the A- system, so 90-93 is considered an A- and he doesn't round grades, but an A is so doable because of how generous he is. Also, go to his office hours!! I wish I would have made more time to go, because he truly is so helpful and always encourages students to stop by (he also has coffee in there!). All the extra credit opportunities sound boring and like a pain to do, but they all add up and will be so worth it in the end!!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3305 - TAKE HIM! He is an incredible professor and really cares about his students. You have to do a lot of work outside of class to prep for exams, but you have all the resources you need to do really well in the class! Work in groups and that will make everything go a lot faster and don't ignore the Blackwell book (most definitions come from there). Take him and you won't regret it, for real!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2320 - Park is such an amazing professor!!!! My favorite class all semester. I’m a freshman so was alittle overwhelmed at first but the class is very doable. He offers up to 7% extra credit too!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2018-12-10

Comments:SPA 2320 - Professor Park is super helpful and understanding. If you're struggling or need extra time for something, he'll definitely work with you. At first glance of the syllabus, it seems like there's a ton of work. It really isn't though. It's doable. Only thing, he's super artistic so he makes you memorize a lot of poems and songs. It can be overwhelming if you procrastinate like I did. But overall, I'd recommend taking Park for Spanish.  - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2018-12-10

Comments:2320 - Dr. Park is a wonderful professor. He's fun and interactive and understands that Spanish probably isn't your native language. He helps you when you need it and doesn't make you feel like an idiot. You have to learn quite a few songs in Spanish but its not bad. The exams are fair and he reviews the material the day before the exam. 10/10 would take again.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2018-12-10

Comments:2320 - This class has a lot of memorizing of poems/songs, which is really dumb because it doesn't help you learn the language. Memorizing them takes a lot of time. Also, he just expects you to know all of the associated grammar for the class so he doesn't review any of it, which I think he should. He has tests that are literally quote identifications from the readings you do which is really unnecessary, as you do not learn anything but just memorize meaningless information. The homework is usually questions from the textbook readings, but he doesn't even check/collect them. He does collect the diaries though, which are super easy to do. Overall, the class is okay, you can get an A but you definitely have to put in work, and honestly you really do not learn much. There are opportunities for extra credit though which is really helpful.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2018-12-10

Comments:2320 - Dr. Park is a great option for those that do not want to take test after test over grammar or write lengthy essays in spanish for an exam grade. However, get ready to memorize a lot of songs and poems (sounds easy, yes, but time consuming) and take four exams in the last two weeks of class. He gives a ton of extra credit and is helpful. He is a nice guy but I feel like a lot of actual class time is wasted on us re-reading the poems and songs he assigns and it can get pretty boring, pretty fast. He has the class write 16 diary entries over the course of the semester for a good grade boost as long as you keep up with them. Overall, this class always had a lot of moving parts and you just have to stay on top of all the upcoming assignments and tasks (refer to his syllabus on his canvas DAILY) and you will make out just fine, no matter how proficient in the language you are.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:SPA 2320 - Dr. Park is an excellent Spanish professor! I took 2320 as a first-semester freshman after getting a 4 on AP Spanish language but only placing into 2310 with the Baylor test. I hesitated to sign up for the more advanced option, but I'm glad I did because this class was easier than I expected. It's structured similar to the AP class between the cultural content and poetry. I enjoyed the incorporation of music; I thought it provided a different perspective on the cultural issues we discussed. It takes some time to memorize them but is manageable if you split it up. Our class was fairly quiet, but Profe Park's consistent charismatic style always kept the energy in the class going. The HW isn't difficult but can take longer than expected to complete.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:2320 - Dr. Park please take notes on BU Books grade options (i.e. no letter minus grades). So... if you enjoy straight memorization (of songs) then this is the class you have been searching for. If not pay attention to the comments in other choices and not just the number beside the name. Nothing against Dr. Park, he is a great guy and he gives a good amount of extra credit. I just did not actually learn anything from memorizing popular Spanish songs. A final note Dr. Park is very musically inclined (I wish he would’ve performed for us before the final) and that is part of how he learned to speak English so I don’t blame him for incoporating it into the class, but he does kind of overdo it.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2320 - Dr. Park is always very engaging in class (which I very much appreciated on tired mornings) and was always willing to help if needed. I liked the poems and songs we covered a lot, it gave me a new perspective on spanish-speaking countries that I felt was missing with other spanish classes. I did feel like I was constantly studying for a test though, as he splits up the tests into grammar (which were pretty hard and I didn't feel like he went over grammar stuff enough in class), written (over songs/poems), and oral. This was helpful because it wasn't all at once, but it was a little annoying to always be studying for that stuff. Overall, great professor and a great class! I'm happy I took Dr. Park for sure.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:SPA2320 - A overall enjoyable spanish class with a different teaching style that is fun and engaging. Would definitely recommend  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:2320 - Professor Park is an excellent professor who cares deeply for what he is teaching and most of all who he his teaching. He shows compassion and dedication to his students like very few others in the language department. I highly recommend Professor Park.  - Grade In Class:C

Comments:SPA2320 - He's a great professor and a great guy! He made a difficult subject more enjoyable with music and discussion. He was understanding that every student was at a different level of Spanish and made it possible for everyone to learn.  - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2018-12-06

Comments:SPA 2320 - Class doesn't focus on the grammar so much as on the poems and songs. Best way to see how the Spanish language works. Also gives a lot of extra credit so its not difficult to get an A.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2320 - Parks makes learning Spanish fun and is always available if you need help! He makes class interesting with his sense of humor and always kept me engaged through the class. There is a lot of memorization work but it is all doable!  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:2320 - Dr. Park is a really great Spanish professor--probably my favorite so far. He is hilarious, so his lectures are as entertaining as they are informative. The class is a lot of work, much more than any Spanish class I had taken up until now so if you're looking for an easy A, don't take this class. It's not the most difficult thing ever, but it requires a lot of reading--worth it for the cultural take away, though!  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:2320 - Professor Park made me enjoy Spanish culture while learning the language. Through memorizing songs in Spanish, I picked up a lot more vocabulary I wouldn't have learned through studying a textbook. If you believe literary arts such as songs, poetry, and stories are important to a language and culture, you'll love this class.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2320 - Dr. Park's class is the reason that I want to continue my Spanish education beyond the university's requirement. My Spanish has improved immensely through practicing in class and his honest feedback in conversations. We have three conversations, two exams (which he prepares you for), and quizzes over songs. The songs and poems we analyze each have a purpose, and his humor in lectures makes the class even more enjoyable. You will not be sorry that you took his class! Just stay on top of readings and utilize his office hours and availability. Do not be hesitant to participate in class, because he knows first hand how difficult learning another language can be. He wants you to succeed and is always eager to help you. I would take this class again if I could!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:SPA 3305 - Dr. Park is absolutely fantastic!! He is always very helpful and available. His lectures are incredible and entertaining. He really makes the class amazing and makes the material easy to understand. His exams and homework assignments help you to improve your critical thinking in Spanish. If you get the chance to take one of his classes, you DEFINITELY should!! Dr. Park is the best!!!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2310 - Parks is an AMAZING professor. I came in to this course kinda struggling with spanish especially conversation skills and he really helps you understand the material so that speaking and comprehension become so much easier. He does give quite a bit of homework, but that is to be expected of any foreign language. He also starts to introduce students to Spanish literature so it’s not all thrown at you when you go to 2320. Again he’s a great professor highly recommend taking him especially if you want a fun class.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3305 - YES PLEASE TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! Dr. Park is AMAZING. His syllabus and course expectations are straightforward and he sticks to his calendar. He is an excellent communicator and often goes through the calendar to make sure everyone is on the same page. For this course we had reading assignments and a few quizzes over the material, but if you read you'll do just fine. He expects everyone to show up for class because you really don't want to miss anything, but honestly his lectures are so entertaining that you'll want to go to class anyway. We also had to do a series of "literary diary" entries where we write about the relevant material, but it's not difficult you just have to remember to stay on track with it. He's hilarious and explains things in easy-to-understand ways, especially if the literature is confusing. His tests are straightforward and you'll do fine if you study. He really cares about his students doing well. For our final exam we had a research paper, but don't let that scare you! He is more than willing to help out, but he also expects you to do your part and put forth the effort. If you show him you care and that you're trying, you'll be just fine. I LOVED having him as a professor and would take him again in a heartbeat.   - Grade In Class:A
