Comments:BUS 1101 - This class was a joke. The weekly assignments were beyond easy but be careful of the TAs... they can be really obnoxious graders if they feel like it. She gives a "final exam" with a study guide that you just have to memorize and you're good. It's definitely a good source of knowledge but the class is so stupid... good news is that it's impossible to have a bad grade in this class.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:BUS 1101 - This class is super easy but very very very boring. Almost every class could've been an email, but she will talk for the full 50 minutes. The peer leader labs are highly dependent on your leaders, but mine were fantastic and really helpful. This class has only one exam and she sends out a study guide before with all of the questions that will be on it.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:BUS 1101 - Absurdly easy A but be prepared for the most meandering, annoying waste of time class you’ll be required to take for your BBA. As everyone said, it’s 50 minutes of yap per week. The TAs WILL try to mess with you (or I got unlucky). Follow the assignment instructions to the letter or they’ll troll you even if you do the work. The quiz questions are weirdly worded but easy. No textbook. Waste of time, just endure it for a semester.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:BUS 1101 - Be prepared to sit in a lecture hall and listen to a yap session for 50 minutes. The only class she teaches is Connect to Hankamer, and it's a total waste of time. Don't get me wrong the class is SUPER easy. If you don't end with an A, you should probably rethink your college and post-college prospects. Every assignment in this class is total busy-work, and everything taught in this class can be found online on Baylor's website. Plus, all the work is just graded by the TAs anyway so Howell doesn't really do much other than yap. There are these weekly quizzes you have to complete, and they're around 20 questions give or take. Annoyingly, these quizzes don't open after class on Friday but on Monday at 3:00 PM. If you're like me and would want to get it out of the way, don't forget about these quizzes. Halfway through the semester, the department chairs will present the different majors to you which was interesting. My annoyance really lies with how she presents herself. She makes it very clear from the start that she is to be referred to as Dean Howell. She's not a professor, she's a dean (mind you she's only an Assistant Dean not an Associate Dean). Aside from her slight ego, you're gonna walk through this class no problem.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1101 - If you get below an A in this class, you should reconsider your life. The only excuse for not having a 99% is the fact that the quizzes are scheduled to be due at 3pm and are only open for 24 hours. But this is business school, and this kind of stuff exists in business. There are replacement opportunities for quizzes. Professor is alright, never really spoke with her, but she is encouraging enough in class, just has a "no electronics" policy.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1101 - While this class is annoying to go to, as long as you get everything done and try, this class is a free A. Dean Howell is really kind and while she didn't teach a ton (we usually had guest speakers) she definitely made this class easy and she helped make our transition to Baylor easier with all of the information given in this class.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:welcome to hankamer - be prepared for someone with a massive ego. she makes it clear from the very beginning that you are to refer to her as DEAN howell- and if that doesnt tell you about her personality idk what will. I will say that the class was an easy A to start off your gpa as a freshman, but be prepared to sit through a class where if you have your phone out, you will have points taken off. She never is avalible for office hours and all of her grading is done through her graduate assistants. Luckily however it is common for guests to come in and speak, so you dont have to listen to her for every class.  - Grade In Class:A

All you have to do is put in effort on your assignments, follow the rubric, and submit the assignments on-time. She is really chill & understanding if you talk to her. Howell is kind of just there, she seems like a nice lady and all but the class is so big and pointless that I think almost anyone could teach it. Comments:1101 - Super easy. For the first month or two, she lectures on different rules specific to Baylor and the business school, which are especially helpful for freshmen and transfers. The last month or two, she brings in the chairs of different departments within the business school to help guide students towards their prospective majors. There’s usually two weekly assignments that are just busy work and are very easy, but also helpful, since they include things like making a resume and setting up your Linkedin. The quiz questions are straight from the weekly lectures, but are usually common sense. You're allowed to skip 3 classes in the semester, which is important to remember since it only happens once a week. The final requires a bit of studying, but is nothing too hard.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1101 - There's nothing much to say about this class. It's not actually a business class, it's just an introduction to the university. Literally, just do the easy assignments and it's a free A+. They offer so many extra credit opportunities so there is not excuse. The quizzes are just based on the slideshows which are on canvas. The final is just based on the slideshows. The people saying this course is too much work probably just waited until Friday to do the assignments. The TA just glances over everything to see if the stuff is filled out. You will spend 45 minutes most weeks on this course.   - Grade In Class:A

Comments:BUS 1101 - This class is extremely easy. Speakers from different departments of business will come in and explain what their major is about. You have to take notes on paper because they don't allow technology to be out unless the speaker asks you to use your phone for something. The PowerPoints used by the speakers are uploaded on to Canvas. The quiz questions are straight from the weekly lectures and review sheets, and you can usually find the answers floating around if you look in the right places. The assignments are not hard but can be annoying and are super unnecessary. Howell herself is pretty nice, but she only really speaks for the first 5 minutes before handing the mic off. You're allowed to skip 3 classes in the semester, so use them wisely. The final can catch you off guard if you don't study for it a bit. This class is a free A if you do the assignments and pay some attention in class.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1101 - I took this online and it was an informative class that teaches you important things about being a student at Baylor and about the business school. Dean Howell seemed personable and the assignments were all designed to help us learn. You will get an A as long as you watch the videos and do the work. Quizzes were literally right off the review sheets, so take the time to answer the weekly review sheets when you are watching the videos and you will get a 100 on the weekly quiz.  - Grade In Class:A

It was very manageable and pretty easy. As long as you do the helpful hints for the quizzes and turn the assignments in on time, you will have a 103. There are no tests except for the final and there speakers almost every class that come in from various departments around campus.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1101 - Dean Howell is pretty good at teaching, and I can say that all the material she taught us is already very useful. If you buy your clicker on time and register it, and set a reminder to turn in the weekly work every Friday, you'll make a B+ with just that. There are quizzes every week, and if you spend about 30 minutes studying for them, you'll make an A. Over all, I would say she does a good job though!!  - Grade In Class:B+

Only thing about the class that I did not like is that it outlines every possible way that you could possibly fail in college, specifically the business school, so it might give you some anxiety, but it is just to make sure you understand what you have to do in order to succeed. Comments:1101 - Dean Howell had a bad string of luck this year with personal family issues, so any criticism of her teaching ability for the fall 2018 semester should be taken with a grain of salt. As for the class, BUS1101 is the epitome of a blow off. An easy A, and as others have said here, if you don’t get an “A” in this class, you have no business being a business major… or a college student, for that matter. Your grades come from weekly quizzes which will genuinely help prepare you for success in the business school. The assignments/homework you have to turn in, such as creating a LinkedIn profile, Handshake profile, etc. will also be very helpful for you during your time in college, so be sure to do them. Dean Howell does a great job explaining what is due, but sometimes it would seem like she talked a bit too much. My only problem with her was her Student assistants. There were a few assignments that I was having issues turning in, and we were instructed to email the assistants when this was the issue. I’d have to wait three or four weeks to hear back… which would be three or four weeks too late. Other than that, this class is incredibly easy, and you’ll do great as long as you show up to class.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1101 - Business 1101 was a nice introduction to the Hankamer School of Business. Not only did we have the opportunity to attend a class at the HSB building but this class was informative in providing various ways to get connected to the business world as a freshman. Easy A and it will prepare you for higher level business classes. Dean Howell is excellent as well. Very clear and precise in her directions.  - Grade In Class:A

I still use the GPA calculator she sent us, and some of the links to making schedules. Just go, and do all the homework assignments. She responds to emails really quickly, or her student workers do. If you don't make an A in this class, you probably shouldn't be a business major.  - Grade In Class:A
