*A 5 star workload is an easy workload; a 3 star is average; whereas a 1 star workload is extremely hard.
Comments:MKT 3305 - TAKE HIM!!! Seriously the sweetest professor that just wants his students to do well! There are 4 exams plus the final all of which are very easy! Do the review and you'll be good because it come straight from it. There are weekly quizzes that are open note and also very easy! I can not recommend him enough!!! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3305 - TAKE HIM TAKE HIM TAKE HIM TAKE HIM, the best easy marketing professor at Baylor. So kind, so nice, he's the best. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MKT 3305 - TAKE HIM!!! He is such a nice old guy that isn't here to screw anyone over. There are 5 exams total, but just do the study guides he gives out and you will be fine! The group projects are pretty easy and the chapter quizzes are also really easy (he drops the lowest 2). He is always asking us questions about our day before the start of class and really seems like he loves his job. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3305 - My GOAT. My glorious king. I will glaze him until the day I die. Exactly what I needed out of a marketing class. He's a nice older dude who's already been successful in business so he does this for fun and isn't gonna try to screw you over. He clearly knows what he is talking about, and you can learn a lot from the lectures. Even if you hate marketing, you've got no hw, like a quiz every week that's open note, and tests that he prepares you for so well, if you do the reviews and aren't dumb you'll average 90s easily. Overall, probably the most laidback class I have, cause I don't have to worry about the workload. The only bad part of the class is a 93 is an A which I don't even know if that's under his control, and its not hard to achieve if you put the tiniest bit of effort into it as you do other classes. You do have to do 3 marketing studies and lectures out of class, but I think it's a department requirement. Do the online lectures, and the marketing studies take like 15 minutes. He did say he will be changing to a different textbook next year which might change some stuff, but it shouldn't change too much. Do the reviews, and you're golden. That's all there is to say. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3305 - Super nice professor, class has easy quizzes, 5 tests including the final and two projects. Projects are easy A as long as your group semi trys. The tests are easy and final are easy if you study the review guide and study quiz questions. Super nice man as well, easy to reach. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3305 - literally so easy and he is so nice. def take him if you can. study the study guides and you're golden. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3305 - Professor Pagel is just a very likable guy! He is very knowledgable about marketing and the personal experience is always interesting. The course is incredibly straightforward and easy to ace if you do the assignments. That being said, you have to study for the exams. You can't expect to put in no effort and succeed. The tests come straight from the study guides and you will do well if you know the material. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3305 - Amazing teacher. He loves the content he teaches and does his best to make his lectures informative. He can get dry at times, but the content is also extremely content heavy so he does the best he can. The tests are difficult but if you study there not horrible. There is some quizzes but they are extremely easy and not too much work. The simulation is very much a random game, but not impossible and he gives fair grades because of how random it can be. Very good teacher, definitely recommend. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:mkt3305 - THE GOAT, no workload, easy tests, and easy final - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MKT 3305 - TAKE HIM! Pagel is a great professor. He is able to take a boring and uninteresting subject and make it fun and engaging. He is able to explain things in a way that makes sense because he truly understands what he is teaching. He has decades of industry experience that he uses for examples, so he never runs out of things to talk about. There are weekly quizzes, but they come straight out of the textbook. So do the exams. All of our exams, except the final were online. There is a group project around the end of the class, but it is just a marketing simulation where your group will make business decisions each week. It is a bit annoying because your grade is tied to your performance on the leaderboard and my class had some tryhards crushing everybody. Overall, a pretty easy class so long as you study some and understand the definitions for quizzes and exams. Her is a great professor. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MKT 3305 - Professor Pagel was super sweet. Class is extremely boring and you don't need to pay attention to do well. Almost every class was him lecturing. We had 4 in-class assignments which were group-based and we had to answer a question that he gave us in class, if you showed up and answered the question it was a free 100. We had 4 exams and a final. The exams are not too difficult as he gives you a review sheet with all the topics you need to know. Halfway through the semester, he made all of the exams online and take home, but he might not do that again for future classes! We have no homework and a total of 10 online quizzes and take-home over the lecture material. You have to give one "presentation" (a 2 minute speech on a question) in class which you have plenty of time to prepare for. Other than that, there is no work outside of the class. We also have a simulation project, but most of it is graded on completion. Over all, I would recommend taking him. Yes, the class can get boring at times, however, he is super nice and makes the class pretty easy. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3305 - This dude is super chill and barely gives any hw. The simulation group project is pretty easy too. Nice guy as well - Grade In Class:A
Comments:Intro to Marketing - Really easy class, but boring. Would recommend if you need a blowoff class, but I didn't learn much about marketing. Lots of group work. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MKT 3305 - This is a pretty easy class. The textbook is large and requires a lot of notetaking but if you put in the work of just reading through and taking notes, as well as paying attention to what he puts on the powerpoints, you should do fine. There's usually a quiz once a week and a homework assignment due once a week too, both of which are pretty easy points. There's a big group project which is kind of complicated but as long as you space out the work you should be fine. The only annoying thing about the class is that he is a teacher that makes an A a 93 instead of a 90. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:MKT 3305 - Dr. Pagel really cared about me and how I was doing in his class. An A is a 92.5 and there is the large group project that everyone has to do. His class is a lot of work, but it is literally just busy work and not challenging. If you can put in some time (2 hours a week), an A is easily achievable. He doesn't have office hours (or at least tell us that he does) but he is always available via email. There are 4 tests, one large group project, super easy biweekly quizzes and assignments (I never got less than a 100 on all of them), and some outside of class things to do (but every marketing class has to do it so …). I would really recommend him, he kind of became my grandpa for the semester. If it helps, he was a Baylor FIJI so he knows how to relate. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3305 - Professor Pagel is a good teacher and really cares for every student. We have at least one MC quiz every week and four MC tests plus the final. These assessments aren't too hard. Also have a group project and so far he's grading them pretty fairly. Classes can be a little bit boring sometimes, but he tires to keep them engaging. I'd recommend taking him. - Grade In Class:B+
