Comments:Christian Heritage - SO as a person Prof Strecker is a really good person. He will go out of his way to meet with you and help you understand what he's teaching, but only if you schedule a one on one meeting. As a professor, however, he is the worst I've had since being at Baylor. He only has two tests: the midterm and the final. Nothing else in-between. The homework workload is reading and then writing a response every night before class, which isn't hard it can just be a lot of reading depending on the night. The in class lectures are hard to understand and very all over the place, so if you don't have a background knowledge of the Bible and the history it's very hard to follow. Also for the midterm review (that covers 7 weeks of material) he gives you the first 3 weeks and then has you make up the other 4 with terms "you think will be on the midterm." Overall, I loved Strecker as a person but as a teacher 10/10 DO NOT Recommend.  - Grade In Class:C

Comments:1302 - Professor Strecker is one of my favorite professors my first semester at Baylor. He is a super nice guy and really cares about his students. He even hosted a discussion in his house before finals. His class is not bad as long as you do the readings and even then you can catch up in the discussions. The quizzes aren't bad just do the reading. We had 2 tests and the finals and they weren't awful and pretty fair. I would recommend taking him. VERY good!!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1310 - Strecker is a great teacher, who really does care about his students. There are reading quizzes everyday, but it honestly helped me keep track of the daily reading assignment. His lectures I always found engaging and as long as you participate in class discussion and show you care about the class you’ll get a good grade. I probably learned the most from his class out of the other classes I took this semester.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1310 - Strecker is a really nice guy and genuinely cares about the students. There are quizzes pretty much everyday but they are open notes so as long as you do the reading you should do okay. The readings every night do vary so don't expect the same amount of homework every night. He isn't the most helpful because whenever someone asks a question he usually deflects it back and ask what the class thinks. He is willing to help you if you put in the effort.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:1305 - Professor Strecker is a very good teacher. I recommend taking him, but it does help if you have had a background in the Bible. I really really enjoyed learning from him, and he is super accommodating to his students. He is willing to change his class around to help students get the material better. All of our quizzes are open notes. The quizzes can be challenging and you have one almost everyday.   - Grade In Class:A
