Comments:1302 - Profe Rojas is amazing! She really knows how to make learning in the classroom a fun and engaging experience. I tend to struggle a bit in learning Spanish, but she incorporates interactive activities and games into her lesson plans to make learning more exciting. There was not a heavy workload for her class; There are videos and quizzes to complete that correspond to the learning material of that week, but they are easy if you attend class and do the assigned homework. VHL Homework is easy as well, as long as you stay on track with the deadlines. Exams are fair and accurately reflect the learning material from class. If you struggle in class, Profe Rojas is really flexible about scheduling office hours and meetings with her students to make sure they get the help they need. I would highly recommend taking her class, she is so nice and is willing to make time for all of her students so they can succeed.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:2310 - This class is very doable and fun. She definitely cares about her students and values participation in her classes. I did take this class during COVID so we had open book/note tests, which saved me a couple of times. There were tests over every chapter, which I liked better than previous Spanish classes. She had a lot of assignments, which I think is true of any foreign language class at this level. BUT overall, very doable. I would definitely recommend her for an easy Spanish professor.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1302/1402 - Professor Rojas-Maddox was such a great teacher! I did take her class completely online, but she really valued participation, and she will definitely call on you to answer questions, but gives you time! She was very patient and gave fair homework. The class operated on Vistas software, but she gave additional mini quizzes before every class period, writing assignments, and only a few exams. BUT all of the exams were open internet and open textbook. While I am not a native speaker by any means, you can imagine how well I performed on them. I fear she might change up her teaching habits soon, but for now, it was definitely an easy A. So if you don't want to really retain any new information, but need a GPA boost, I would take her!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:SPA2 - Profe Rojas was absolutely my favorite professor at Baylor so far. She is WONDERFUL. She is so responsive to her student's needs and is very clear in her explanation of the information. She was for sure my favorite professor to see every other day. My advice: Go to class, become friends with her, do your homework the night before. She makes getting an A so so easy. She hardly takes points off on exams. Take profe Rojas!!!! You wont regret it! Comments:SPA 1301 - She is very sweet, but horribly disorganized. She didn't make it through all the material that was required and still tested us on it. Her final was over a chapter we never got to. HW every night, but completion grade. She taught things in her lecture that differentiated from the book. Very difficult to get information if you miss a class. Very inconsistent in information given between sections.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1301 - Profe Rojas is one of my favorite professors I've ever had. I was nervous about taking Spanish since I have never taken it before, but she makes it enjoyable. She is so kind, cares a lot about her students, and explains things well. She gives you a study guide before every exam. There is online homework every class but it is easy and just a completion grade. All her tests, including the oral exam, and final, are fair. Her class is entertaining and there are fun games and videos. She rocks. You will not regret taking her!!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1401 - i've never had a better language teacher in MY LIFE. She is a very generous grader and makes the lessons interesting by playing games and putting the class into teams. You have online hw before every class, but it's just a completion grade. She covers what's over the exam the day before, and never has a boring class. Her midterm and final were easy, including the oral part. As long as you do the homework and at least try to pay attention, you will succeed in her class. Her personality is amazing and friendly. She helps her students out if they're struggling, and gives extra credit for (almost) every test. I completed her class with a 101.56% and was cruising through this course the entire semester. Comments:1401 - She’s just the best. The work you have to do for Spanish I will be almost the same no matter who you take since the university makes all the classes use the same book and online homework tool, so what really makes or breaks classes are the professors. Profe Rojas is everything you could ever want: incredible kind and passionate, and always doing whatever she can to help her students succeed. All the horrors you’ve heard about Baylor Spanish are assuaged in her class. Meetings are mostly just practicing material from the online homework, but rather than doing boring grammatical exercises we play team games and compete for points each unit, making for a really fun class. You’ll have to study for the quizzes and tests, but they’re not nitpicky or unnecessarily difficult, and the reviews will definitely help guide you. Take Profe Rojas if you get the chance, you’ll love her.   - Grade In Class:A
