*A 5 star workload is an easy workload; a 3 star is average; whereas a 1 star workload is extremely hard.
Comments:ACC 2304 - He is probably one of the best professors I have had at Baylor. The class is not hard if you try. I would start studying like two days before a test and I got 100 on all of them. Also, the homeworks are not hard at all. If you watch his videos and go through the homework like twice you will do great. The test are just like the homework. I think on each test there is like one question thats not like the same as the homework so you have to think but its normally really easy to figure out if you understand. Still probably the best teacher to take because he take out the hard stuff that doesn't matter that much! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2304 - Steve is such a nice professor. Easily one of the kindest professors at Baylor. He is fun and easy to get along with. However, his class involves teaching yourself. Most of the class consists of him lecturing and doing the work on the board, however his work is not intuitive and you will likely have to go back and relearn everything. I don't wanna leave a negative review because Steve is seriously awesome, but be ready to go back over everything you hear in class - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:2304 - He is sweet and takes the time to get to know his students so I hate to leave a negative review but I don’t recommend him as a professor. My biggest issue throughout the semester is that he would often put anywhere from 1 problem to a couple pages of problems up on the board and tell us to complete them on our own instead of teaching. I struggled through these and rarely completed them because I just didn’t know how to do them. Accounting is a difficult class to be struggling through somewhat new problems and then checking our answers on the board. That being said, he does frequently have office hours that are somewhat helpful and he offers extra credit on most exams if we score well on review homework before them. Not the best but I’m sure not the worst. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2304 - I took this class at 4 PM, which partly explains why I’m not satisfied with the professor. He never taught us how to solve problems; instead, he just displayed prefilled notes on the screen and dismissed us. As a result, our class consistently had the lowest test scores compared to all the other classes for this course. Even when I visited his office hours, he was utterly unhelpful. He would simply say, “I don’t know” and go back scrolling on his phone. I eventually switched to a different professor who taught the same course, and it was significantly better. If you value your education and GPA, I strongly advise you to avoid this professor. Instead, take Haylee Beard. - Grade In Class:B
Comments:2304 - Such a sweet and funny man! He made those 8ams slightly less terrible. The exams are similar to the homework so just really study those. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:ACC 2304 - My favorite teacher at Baylor. He is so helpful and really wants you to do well. The kindest man ever, if you go to his office hours he will give you extra points on test. TAKE HIM!!!! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2304 - Would not recommend. He's a nice guy, but as a professor not great. You can tell he doesn't really want to teach anymore. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2304 - Mr. Bostick is the sweetest man ever!! He's retired but is teaching just because he enjoys it. He is funny and very easy-going. He wants you to succeed and is super helpful if you go to his office hours. If you get above a 90 on the homeworks he changes it to 100. The homework is pretty easy - you get 3 tries for every question. There's really not that much homework to do anyway. Exams can be a little harder but if you study you'll do fine. He is so super nice- I can't recommend him more!!! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2304 - Do not take him in the early morning. Any other time and you'll love him. His tests are not hard, but they are frequent. The homework is amazing. You have three attempts to answer any question, and you only need to get >90% to get a 100%. This includes the multiple choice questions. I highly recommend. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:ACC 2304 - Mr Bostick is great! His class is not the most entertaining (I had it TR @330 which was kinda late for me) but he is a sweet guy and helpful if you ask. Work outside of class is minimal to none and his tests are super straight forward. He is so sweet, take Bostick! Easy class and he's great. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2304 - I am not good at accounting, but Steve was always willing to help me no matter how many questions I had. He was always down to get to know his students and he is absolutely hilarious. He has late office hours the night before exams, and he will let you take the during later sections if you feel you need more time to review. STEVE IS AMAZING! - Grade In Class:C+
Comments:2304 - Bostick is not only my favorite professor I've ever had at Baylor he may be one of my favorite people I've ever met. I had him for an 8 am and he did not like waking up as much as the rest of us but would play music to try and get us pumped up. He also cares so much for his students its crazy. If there is a test the next day he will be in his office until midnight in case you want to go to him and ask him a question. Honestly, if you do the study guides he gives you and you understand them you will do well on the tests. Do yourselves a favor and take Bostick. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2304 - I took Bostick spring 2020 and loved it. The class is very straightforward and can be dry at times, but Bostick is such a great guy and tries to make class as entertaining as possible. He\'s the reason I am an accounting major and he doesn\'t get enough credit for how invested he is in his students and their success. Take him! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:ACC 2304 - Take Mr. Bostick. He is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He makes everything so fun and interesting that he is very engaging. He made me want to go to class. He always makes himself available to help you and meet with you. He made this class so much fun and made me want to be here. It all the made the class so much easier than I thought it was going to be. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:ACC 2304 - First, hes a great guy. One of the funniest and nicest professors I have had. He also makes himself available to you whenever you need him outside of class. This all being said, I would NOT recommend him as a professor. While he does make himself available, his teaching style is terrible. Whether one one one, or in the classroom, he has you work out the problem yourself, rather than walking us through the steps. It is absolutely crucial that you are able to take notes fast, and listen at the same time because he does not stop, and personally, that led to me rewatching all of his lectures. You WILL be teaching this class to yourself. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:2304 - HE IS THE BEST!!!!! Professor Bostick is definitely the best option for managerial. While other classes had to do online hw, we just turned it in on paper in class. And it was for completion!! As long as you turn it in you'll get 100 on every one. His tests are a lot easier than other classes as well. If he thought a concept was too hard, he would just not include it on the exam. When we went online for classes, the exam average dropped so he curved our scores. He also offers lots of easy extra credit! He cares so much about his students! He is such a kind man! Please take him!!!! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:ACC 2304 - PLEASE TAKE MR BOSTICK!!!! First of all, he's an awesome man. He cares so much about his students. I am so bad at accounting but I went to his office several times a week and he helped me with everything. I also struggled with serious test anxiety this year and he helped me conquer that and gave me the confidence I needed, which will help me through the rest of my classes at Baylor. There isn't much homework, just an adequate amount you need to keep up to date with the class. Tests stuck mostly to the notes, they're all usually multiple choice. Not many quizzes, and Mr. Bostick is always available by phone, and basically always in his office. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:Managerial - FAVORITE PROFESSOR!!! Professor Bostick took the time to help me every day! He made sure I understood, and he got to know me as well. The class was fun and the office hours were very helpful. I look forward to seeing him around the bschool. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2304 - Steve is literally the GOAT. If you're not planning on being an accounting major this is your guy. He spends the first 10/15 minutes of every class joking around and talking about life. Our class ends at 9:55am but he thinks it ends at 9:50am so we get out early every day. All the homework is completion so I just write numbers and words on the paper and get hundreds. I don't think I've learned anything but I have an 81 in the class so I'm happy. There's 4 tests and the final. The final will replace your lowest test grade if you need it. - Grade In Class:B
Comments:2304 - Professor Bostick is one of the easiest professors I've had at Baylor so far. All of the homework are easy 100 completion grades, attendance isn't graded, and the SI is super helpful if you are struggling at all. The material itself is pretty simple which is why its definitely okay to take an easy teacher like this for his class. Half the time he is joking around in class and is overall a pretty good guy. This class is an easy A, take him - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2306 - Professor Bostick is a great guy. He keeps class interesting, but it is a lot of learning on your own or in SI. His office hours are very helpful for homework, and his first two tests are easy. There are 4 tests and a final. Homework is all graded, but it helps a ton for the test. Extra credit is also offered. He is a funny professor and wants to be your friend. Take him if you dont want to be an accounting major. - Grade In Class:A
