Comments:Drawing 1 - Honestly as someone with a background in art that took this class bc I had to for my major he isn’t great at teaching it. He kinda just draws the thing himself and makes you watch him for like a half hour and then tell you to do what he just did. I’m general I think I just didn’t like the class it’s very uninspired and everything just draws the same things. He also doesn’t believe that math or science has anything to do with art and that frankly is demented. Anyone with a brain know they are two sides of the same coin.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1311 - Love this professor so much! Chaput is seriously empathetic and understanding with his students, and will genuinely try to nurture your effort and help build up your skills. His critiques are fair and help you build up your ability to communicate in terms of design and learn how to give fair and useful critique (not just saying pretty or nice or “I like it”). He’s also extremely willing to help and will give you general directions to go in while making sure to give you the room to choose your own ideas and find your own style. The workload is also incredibly manageable, plenty of time to finish assignments but not to the point where it feels like your just blowing off time. But you can feel relaxed enough to want to devote time to the work and make your piece the best it can be. Truly one of the most incredible professors in the department, I highly recommend taking him!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ART1310 - LOVE LOVE LOVE he was my first drawing class at Baylor and taught me so much. Was so helpful when I was struggling in class and with my workload and really looks out for his students. I had him 3 years ago and he still says hi to me and asks how I am whenever I'm passing by  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Drawing I - Professor Chaput is a great teacher! He is honest as well as encouraging and very willing to give help or feedback on your work. He is always available during class and will look at your homework assignments if you email a picture. You will have a few sketchbook assignments, and finish an in-class project and corresponding homework project every few weeks. If you enjoy drawing and using charcoal, or want to try it, I would definitely recommend Professor Chaput for this class.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Drawing 1 - Kyle is definitely my fav. He is very kind and fun which made class very enjoyable. Beyond that he also is very clear in communicating the concepts of the class and what he needed. He was super helpful in class and in assisting students who need help. He was very gracious in understanding where students are and grading on progress as well as absolute. Overall highly recommended.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1310 - I am actually so horrible at drawing but really improved throughout the semester. Prof. Chaput is so helpful and will gladly help if there is a problem with your drawing. He grades very fairly and is good at explaining his reasoning. The projects are fun for the most part but time outside of class is definitely required.   - Grade In Class:B+
