Comments:2305 - The group projects are not bad at all and the books that he has you read are really interesting. I have never made so many friends in one class before just because he allows us to interact so much each day.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2015-05-29

Comments:2305 - He only has 4 tests, and a final. He will drop your lowest grade with what you make on the final, unless your grade on the final is lower. There is no work load, just study for a day or two before the tests and make sure you know how to do the project. He is the nicest man you will ever meet, and he cares about how you do in the class. Definitely take him! If you can't get into his class, wait until the next semester and make sure you get him then.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2012-05-25

Comments:2305 - Great guy and great professor. He practically spoon feeds you the material, and will virtually do the take home portion of the exam for you. I was supposed to make a B, but he bumped it up to a B+, because the final replaces your lowest exam. No other QBA compares.  - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2012-05-23

Comments:QBA 2 - Great professor. He explains everything and is really helpful if you go to his office hours for projects. His tests aren't easy though so make sure you study for them. i would definitely recommend this class.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2012-05-09

Comments:QBA 2305 - He is the nicest guy you will ever meet & his class is a guaranteed A, but you don't really learn much from it. He is extremely helpful &, if you just go to his office hours, he will answer any question you have(including: "What are the answers to the project). Also, he will answer questions that give away the answer to a test question. He had mostly multiple choice test with maybe a few workout problems on some tests. There were 3 tests and the optional final which will replace your lowest test grade if you don't end up with an A in the class without that. Included in your test is a project which you do with a program called Megastat. He walks you through how to do the project during class. Overall, he's a really nice professor & if you're looking to just get credit for this & move on, he's a great professor to take.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2012-05-01

Comments:2305 - This class is not hard at all but you still have to try. This guy is so chill that you are not going to feel like doing nothing for this class. His first test everyone bombed because everyone thought he was so chill and easy. He also has a no attendance policy but since no one would ever show up he started taking attendance in the middle of the year. You also have a easy project that is due before every test. It's a garunteed 100 since you can get a check and it works as a curve for your test. This guy can be a little evil on his tests with some questions. Cool funny dude but you gotta study and pay attention in class. If you can do that, which is not asking for much..not bad at all.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2012-04-28

Comments:2305 - Fred is the best teacher. If you can get him you must take his class. There are 3 exams and an OPTIONAL final. For every test there is a project which is basically a homework assignment that he usually did with us in class. The "projects" count as 20% of the test so the actual test is only 80%. He gives out all of the notes and the tests were pretty much like the notes and if you ask him a question he will answer you straight forward even during a test. None of the assignments are ever due and he posts the answers online. Easiest class ever, the guy is hilarious and really chill and actually teaches you. If you don't take him then I feel sorry that you actually had to apply yourself in this course.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2012-04-27

Comments:2305 - One of the best teachers ever and one of the funniest people I know. Take him.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2011-12-11

Comments:2302 - I took this class in the spring semester. We had 3 exams plus the final and a quizzes. The exams were easy because he explained things so well. As long as you pay attention in class you should be good. I also read the text to understand the concepts a little better. There are also quizzes which are not to bad if you study. Whenever I didn't understand something he was always available and more than happy to help. Such an amazing professor. He is on my amazing professor list and there aren't too many names on that list. I definitely recommend him!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2011-08-12

Comments:2305 - AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!!!!!!! so sweet, makes cute jokes. Helps anyone anytime. One of my favorites for sure. Take him!!!!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2011-05-07

Comments:2305 - The easiest QBA class. No homework & no reading! A few quizzes here and there, but they are just like the stuff he goes over in class. Study for 5 minutes before every exam and you'll at least get a B. He pushes back exams and pushes back quizzes all the time, which can be very helpful. I cannot express how much I loved this class. Hulme is such a sweet man! & he LOVES sports by the way. Definitely take this class if you can!!!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2011-04-28

Comments:QBA 2305 - Probably one of the best QBA teachers at Baylor. He is very helpful and will work through the homework with you if you have any problems with it. There is not a lot of outside work as the "homework" is 20% of your test grade which is nice. TAKE HIM!!!!!  - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2010-12-15

Comments:QBA 2305 - Hulme is the best! His class can tend to be boring because he goes over very similar examples over and over. You have a 'class project' due for every test, which is basically just a worksheet over what you learned in that section. You can do it by yourself or with friends.. it doesn't matter. You have weeks to complete it and turn in with the test. They are just like the class examples which are all listed on Blackboard.. it is very easy to get full credit on these (which account for 20% of your test grade). There is 4 tests. He also gives a replacement exam at the end of the semester that is optional. There is no need for the book so don't buy it. There is only one chapter the whole semester that he recommends even looking at the book for if you need further explanation, and he gives you access to an online copy of it to do so. Otherwise you will never need anything from the book. I found the last test to be the hardest, and as he describes it as being a preview to Finance, so do well on the others. The other tests are pretty easy, basically just looking at SPSS charts and finding the answer. Very little calculations involved until the final (test 4).  - Grade In Class:C

Date: 2010-12-14

Comments:2305 - I thought the class was kind of boring and didn't really enjoy. Hulme, however, is one of the nicest and most sincere people you will ever meet. I think he may be a bit scattered and sometimes doesn't finish his thoughts, but he is so nice. There's no outside work really and you don't have to buy the book. It's an easy class so if you show up and semi pay attention, it's not bad.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2010-12-14

Comments:2305 - Hulme is awesome! His class is very laid back and there is not outside homework. He explains everything in class and tells you all you have to do to make an A is come to class and listen. He gets side tracked easily and is very friendly! Take Hulme!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2010-11-18

Comments:2305 - An awesome teacher. Can not say enough positive things about this guy. He really cares about his students and even though he has a ton, he still ends up remembering almost everyones name. Really easy to get in contact with and get help from. Take him if at all possible!!!  - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2010-05-27

Comments:QBA - Mr. Hulme is an outstanding professor. Absolutely outstanding. His tests weren't easy, but I aced them all because he just makes so much sense when he's teaching. I spent a lot of time in his office talking to him about the material and he was amazingly helpful. Amazingly helpful. Absolutely take Mr. Hulme.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2010-05-11

Comments:2305 - This man is a saint. He is so willing to work with you. Open communication is key. Go to his office if you need help- he will work on the projects (which usually count for 20% of your test grade and are VERY doable) with you. He is scatterbrained and sometimes hard to follow in class, so go to his office and it's a lot more understandable. If he offers extra help for the final, GO. The final is NOT cumulative and is the easiest test you will take all year. And he also does retake tests. There is no homework- class average is made up of projects and tests.  - Grade In Class:C

Date: 2010-05-11

Comments:2305 - I took this man after taking Cheryl Kay for 2302. Because I was taking 18 hours this semester, I was so incredibly thankful for this man. Easiest class EVER. If anyone got less than a B in this course I want to know how, besides skipping too many classes. And I wouldn't even understand that, because he goes over the same concept two, maybe three days in a row, so it was really tempting to only go to class once a week (don't do it though). When he gives you the syllabus at the beginning of the semester it looks like there is only three tests, the final, and no homework, but don't be fooled. He does give homework in the form of "projects" that make up a certain percentage of your next exam grade. The projects, however, are extremely easy and if you do exactly what he tells you to do it's hard to make less than 100 on them, so they only help your grade. He gave us the opportunity to re-take the first exam, as well as take another replacement exam at the end of the semester that would replace your lowest exam grade, with a "no-risk" policy, meaning if you did worse on the retake you would automatically keep your original score. If you wanted to reschedule a test for any reason he would let you come in on the day one of the other classes was taking it, no questions asked. And for the final, he gave us all three final times and told us we could pick out of any one of them. Class tends to be boring, but the fact that this guy is so easy and flexible more than made up for it.   - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2010-04-28

Comments:2305 - Sweetest man in the Business building! He is absolutely the best professor ever to teach QBA. I strongly suggest you take him! He is extremely helpful and goes over what he expects you to know a lot of times so trust me, you'll understand what to do! He is absolutely precious and a wonderful teacher! TAKE HIM!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2010-04-27

Comments:QBA 2305 - Very very nice!! Only had 2 hw assignments and 2 quizzes! Super easy! Take him!! Only bad thing is class examples and tests were not compatible. The tests were kind of hard. Overall nice teacher!!  - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2009-12-18

Comments:2305 - Hulme is the nicest professor at Baylor! He is soooo helpful & wants his students to succeed. He goes over things time and time again if people missed class. He does all of the computer work for you and gives you all of the answers to the assignments that don't even have to be turned in. He is by far the best professor to take for this class. The stuff he is teaching isn't very fun, but he makes it exciting but running around the room & random things like that. TAKE HULME!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2009-11-12

Comments:2305 - If you had Kay for the 1st QBA, you dont even have to pay attention for the first 2 tests of this class. Hulme goes over everything we learned at least 2 or 3 times in class. No homework, no quizzes and good reviews for the test. Nice guy and good teacher, but a difficult subject to make interesting. You will be bored, but it is easy and Hulme grades really easy (partial credit, curves, makeup exams if the class does poorly). Take it  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2009-06-10

Comments:2305 - Nicest teacher who really cares how you do in his class. He is extremely helpful and just an overall nice person! Take him!!!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2009-06-05

Comments:QBA II - Mr. Hulme makes a dreadful class easy to understand and fun. He really wants to make sure everyone understands the material and will do anything to help you. TAKE HIM, HE'S THE BEST QBA TEACHER AND ONE OF THE BEST PROFESSORS AT BAYLOR!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2009-04-19

Comments:2305 - Mr. Hulme is easily the nicest person employed by Baylor University. Schedule all of your classes around his. It is worth it.   - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2009-01-05

Comments:QBA - He is an amazing teacher and should be awarded for being one of the nicest professors at Baylor. Would without a doubt take his class... he is wonderful. This class requires little out of class work and his tests aren't bad as long as you do the review.   - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2008-12-05

Comments:2305 - Best professor ever. I slacked off and never studied and still made a B+. I still learned plenty and had a great time in the class. He is always willing to help, even during tests. He often simply told other students how to do the problems on tests in front of everyone. Try your hardest to take Fred.   - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2008-11-18

Comments:QBA 2305 - Unbelievably awesome. You lose taking anyone else. Fred Hulme is the nicest man I have ever met. At first blush you might say he is a blowoff professor. But he is not! He writes the books! He is simply an example that all profs should take that to be effective you do not have to be overly difficult.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2008-11-15

Comments:QBA - Great Guy, Great teacher, easy class. You must take him he is awesome.   - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2008-11-12

Comments:QBA 2305 - take him!! he is the nicest man ever. his class is such a blow off and you won't learn a thing all year, but he tells you exactly what is on the tests and they are always easy. he is one of the nicest teachers i've had at baylor. take him!!  - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2008-05-07

Comments:QBA 2305 - Have you been dreaming of a class that you could EARN an easy A in and learn a little on the way? That is this class. Fred Hulme wants to help you. He is the kindest human being I have ever met. He is very smart too. Attendance is 20% of your grade, each class you miss deducts 3%. (i.e you miss 2 days, you get a 94 for 20% of your grade). The other 80% is four tests divided evenly. You get formula sheets, he helps clear misunderstandings. If you WANT to make an A he will help you EARN an A without much trouble. No real need to take notes, just show up. He is awesome, I would take him again in a heartbeat. If every person on this earth was like Fred Hulme, the world would be a better place. Great, great experience, if you are reading this Thank you for having me in your class Dr. Hulme  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2008-04-23

Comments:QBA 2302 - VERY helpful. He teaches everything clearly, then goes over it once or twice the next day in class. Keep up with the assignments and do well on the quizzes, because he grades both pretty strictly. So friendly, will give you all the time you need in his office.   - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2007-07-03

Comments:1305 - Hulme is such an awesome teacher and really an awesome guy. He likes to see people do well and offers several options to recover from a bad test grade. His classes are very entertaining and it's obvious he loves his job. Often times he would talk about life stories and give advice to us which made it even easier to identify with him on a personal level. One of the smartest guys at Baylor I respect him a lot and wish more professors were as friendly and kind hearted as he is. He will drop anything to help you and is in his office a lot. Take this class at all costs...you won't regret it  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2007-05-17

Comments:1305 - Hulme's class is so awesome. I was a pre med major and switched to business mid year, and just got credit for QBA I and took him for 2.. best decision ever. I only have a B+ b/c I bombed a test. This is one of the best professors ever. If you need help with anything, even if it is not QBA he's the man for the job. Do the projects, and go to class. That's like 20% of your grade. You can share the book with someone else, or he'll even let you borrow his, so in other words- don't buy it. The tests have about 35 questions on them, they are mostly multiple choice but I believe two of the 5 tests had some short answer. But they're like working out problems or circling what something means. Also, take notes in class. He says some definitional stuff that you think won't matter, and it's on the test- WORD-FOR-WORD.. There's some true false too one test four.. they were really tricky.. Oh- and if you can, before every test go by his office and he's usually giving some kind of lecture to a bunch of people that have questions and you can just sit in and basically he goes over what is on the test.  - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2007-05-14

Comments:QBA I & II - Mr. Hulme is a great teacher he makes the material really well and makes it easy to understand. If you go to class and take notes then you will do well on the test. There is little homework which is due on the test day but it's not to hard. He is very funny and you will enjoy this class!!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2007-05-07

Comments:2305 - Fred is an awesome guy. He will help you with any questions you have and even go out of his way to help you out. Tests are fairly easy, just sudy the night before and you will be fine.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2007-05-04

Comments:QBA - I loved Dr. Hulme's class. He is such a great proffessor and always makes sure his students understand the material. As long as you pay attention in class you will do great on the tests. I agree with everyone else that he is by far the best teacher that I have at at Baylor  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2007-03-29

Comments:2302 - He is an awesome guy. Cares about his students and knows his material.  - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2007-01-01

Comments:2302 - Professor Hulume is not only an amazing teacher, but just a good person in general. He has extensive knowledge of the material and is always willing to help you out. TAKE THIS CLASS!  - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2006-12-29

Comments:2302 - One of the best teachers I've had at Baylor so far. Great guy - he's easy to understand and get along with. Pretty simple class, and he's always willing to help if you don't understand something. Can't wait to have him for the 2nd QBA  - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2006-12-15

Comments:2302 - Hulme is the cutest man in the world. He is always super enthusiastic and always trying to interact with the students. He goes over test material until he feels everyone knows it, so there's not a lot you have to do outside of class. For such a boring subject, he definitely does the best he can with it and makes it as interesting as possible. TAKE HULME, he's the best.   - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2006-11-03

Comments:QBA 2302 - He's one of those teachers here at Baylor that you'll remember after you graduate, and there are no curve balls in this course. You won't find a better QBA teacher.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2006-09-14

Comments:2302 - Talk about the sweetest man you will ever meet! He is one of these teachers who just plain goes beyond teaching! He embodies the kind of teacher that Baylor broadcasts to new students! I actually witnessed him helping a student with their economics homework after class, several times! Do the homework to pass the class, PLEASE!!! It is very helpful, but you need not worry about the difficulty! He explains step by step, exactly how to do each assignment in class, and if you have any difficulty trying to do it at home later, no problem! He leaves his office and home number, and has really wierd sleeping habits, so if you e-mail him a question in the middle of the night, he'll probably be up to answer you... The homework isn't due until test day 9 times out of 10! I wanted to take him for QBA 2, but it wouldn't fit into my schedule... :( However, the best thing you can do for yourself if you must take this class, is TAKE THIS TEACHER!  - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2006-07-05

Comments:2303 - Prof. Hulme is a great guy. He takes tons of time to help his students in almost any class they are having trouble in. Homework is really easy if you keep up with it. You get twelve assignments thoroughout the semester but they're not due until the day of the final and they're graded based on completion. The weekly quizes are a good way to measure how well you'll do on the mid-term and the final. Prof. Hulme will also cut you a lot of slack if he sees that you're trying and not just pretending. Highly recommended.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2006-05-20

Comments:QBA2302 - It is very hard not to love Professor Hulme. He is such a nice guy and really gets to know all his students. The work load is usually a snap though some of the concepts can be tough. I would HIGHLY recommend him.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2006-03-30

Comments:2302 - QBA 1: Very Helpful cannot begin to describe Prof. Hulme! What can I say that has not already been said? I dunno.. You WILL make an A in this class... or else you shouldn't be at Baylor! He will help you in any way he can. Take him! 4 tests and the final. Curves, and usually parts of the tests are due before you take the in class test. This makes the actual test only count for about 60-70% of the grade. Also, anything he takes up is just graded for effort. :-)  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2006-01-06

Comments:2302 - I challenge you to find a nicer teacher. Hulme wants you to get an A and will do everything possible to help you in that mission. I would've gotten an A but it seemed like every day there was a test in his class I had three others to study for. Great guy, easy class.  - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2005-12-24

Comments:2302 - awesome professor, helpful and cares about the students, will do everything he can to help his students out. A++  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2005-12-13

Comments:2302 - He is a cool guy. Always goes over the HW before its due, and you can always ask him for "help" (the answer) right before something is due. HW is collected at test 2 and test 4, but just print a bunch of random QBA type things and you get full credit. If you go to class, the tests are simple, and he always has some deal where one will replace another, and the final will replace a test as well. Easy class  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2005-10-27

Comments:QBA 2305 - Hulme rocks! He is the nicest teacher you will have at Baylor, and his class is awesome! In the beginning there is very easy homework almost every night, but he shows you how to do it in class (usually doing the same problems) so it's never hard to figure out. His tests are not bad at all, and are directly from the homework. You never have to read, just make sure you know what he's doing on the overhead. His class is fairly interesting, and he'll frequently pause to ask students about themselves to keep it from getting too boring. We even stopped class 10 minutes early once so we could replay the football game when we beat A&M! My advice-don't take QBA unless you get Hulme!  - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2005-05-19

Comments:QBA 2305 - One of the best professors at Baylor. He actually cares that his students learn the material. Very helpful and friendly. His tests and quizzes are very fair, no surprizes. I would highly recommend taking him if you can.   - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2005-05-06

Comments:2302 - Dr Hulme is by far the best teacher I have had at Baylor. He is really nice, he knows what he is doing (he wrote the book!), and he is also really funny. If everyone in the class does bad on a test he might let you retake it. If you want an A in QBA 2302, take him!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2005-04-13

Comments:QBA II - This is one of the most friendly professors at Baylor. Before class starts, he'll come in and talk to each student to see what's new with them. He wants to get to know his students. Tests are exactly like the practice tests that he posts. Labs are done by him in class, so just copy down what he's doing and you'll do fine... plus theyre graded on participation. He doesnt take attendance. GREAT GUY AND EASY CLASS WITH HIM (plus he wrote the book) HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  - Grade In Class:A
