Comments:ENV 3314 - Dr. Ryan is a super cool guy and always made class interesting. He really knows what he's talking about and encourages students to interact with the material. Grade mostly comes from tests and he tells you exactly what will be on the tests in advance. Do the extra credit even if it doesn't seem worth it and make sure you are prepared for tests. Easy class to pass, but somewhat difficult to make an A in. No homework tho! :)  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:ENV 3314 - This class was pretty average overall. There was almost no homework ever except for studying and the tests/quizzes weren't too difficult. There was always extra credit offered for exams, and I'd recommend doing it. There were 3 exams, 4 quizzes, and one class discussion for points. Most of the grade was the exams. He was a little boring during lectures and would sometimes just click through the PowerPoint instead of actually talking about the information there. Overall, not a bad class but also not the best one I've taken.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ENV 3314 - Dr. Ryan is quite possibly one of the greatest professors I've had in my transition from biochemistry b.s. into the environmental science b.s. He is an Australian professor (the accent keeps it interesting) and has an enormous amount of experience in the environmental health field (if you are interested in public health of env health, TALK TO HIM ABOUT INTERNSHIPS AND RESEARCH, HE HAS THE ABILITY TO HELP OUT.) His Tuesday and Thursday lectures are set for around 55 minutes, so you almost always leave early (as he believes you shouldn't be cooped up in a room for the maximum amount of time.) Lectures are primarily PowerPoint slides with him explaining everything in great detail, even emphasizing what will be on tests. Testing strategy is to study PowerPoint slides (which will always be on Canvas the day of lecture for that presentation) and to simply listen to him discuss it. The tests are just multiple choice questions that go over the material, and Dr. Ryan does a fantastic job at explaining everything to make sure you get an A on the test. Take this professor if you need your ENV 3314 (Intro to Environmental Health) course credit done. It will be well worth your time, and may even make a large impact of your future.  - Grade In Class:A
