Comments:3305 - I think her teaching ability is actually great. She extremely knowledgeable in accounting and can convey it well. The course work is also higher than a typical class, but it's more quantity over quality. Assignments will not take long, it's just that there's multiple of them due per week, so if you space out your workload it's not tough at all. That's just about all of the positives for her. When it comes to negatives, she runs class like a strict high school teacher. For example, if you don't show up on time, she will publicly call you out in front of the whole class. She's the type of person to directly say to your face "I hate that question" in a firm tone if you ask her when the exams will be graded. If you're a good student who shows up on time and does the work, I can't imagine you'll have that big of a problem in this class.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:3305 - Overhated. Test's are straight from the notes and group assignments. There is a ridiculous amount of work though but it's possible to succeed.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Acc 3305 - DONT. Just don't do it. This class is by far the worst class I have taken at Baylor. I know everyone says that to every professor on here but honestly it is so bad. The workload is tremendous like sometimes there are 6 plus assignments a class night, mostly useless garbage. The assignments take a minimum of 15 minutes and could take upwards of an hour for some. She does not care to change obviously, because there is no way she has not recieved a complaint about this from other students. She simply does not care about her students' time or even academic health honestly. Debit useless homework expenses, credit my mental well-being. Tests are too long, averaging around a 75-80. Lots of multiple choice with a long short answer portion. She also is super weird about phones and computers being out, going on about her hourly rate or something like shes some big shot accountant and we are beneath her. Truly just a poor experience for me. Besides that, she seems like an alright person but doesn't care for her students too much because of the workload. If you can avoid taking her do.  - Grade In Class:C+

Comments:ACC 4308 - oh gosh. please save yourself and do not take adv managerial with farish. she goes on a lot of tangents in class, will skip over notes because "yall know this", and all of her application/math exercises in class are on excel...which i would appreciate if the tests were also on excel but they are not. her tests are lowkey kinda ridiculous and truly impossible to get a 100 on. seriously, not even the smartest person in the class could ever get a 100 which is almost unfair. and all the averages are the lowest compared to the other 4308 teachers. the conceptual questions are over things either she really doesnt talk about, didnt talk about at all, or are something we should just be able to infer from, which wouldnt be too bad if she gave us a better foundation of resources to use our critial thinking skills. also she refused to answer questions during tests and wouldnt tell us prior to the test how many questions would be on it  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:3305 - I literally just made an account to review Farish, she is probably the worst professor I have ever had and quite genuinely might be the rudest person at this school. I am not sure what happened in her life to cause her to be so rotten, but I feel bad for her. Her teaching ability is average, but she is so unhelpful it drags her teaching ability down to the mud. Her class preps are fine, maybe even a good teaching tool except she just uses it as an opportunity to take off points. You can do it, but if you're wrong she'll make you feel bad about it and take off points. Her homeworks are completely useless and time consuming. Her tests seem to be structured around the group assignments and the notes. I recommend taking her your junior year in case you can't pass, because if you don't pass you can't be a finance major. I hope Baylor at least offers another section with a different professor in the future so they can see how much better this class could be.  - Grade In Class:C

Comments:3305 - She's unreasonable and condescending you can't ask even clarifying questions during tests and you're not allowed to have laptops in class unless it lays flat on your desk giving a big advantage to iPad kids. Genuinely don;t know if I've ever had a more unreasonable teacher. DO NOT TAKE HER  - Grade In Class:C

Comments:4308 - Yeah...it's as bad as these reviews say. Unhelpful. She doesn't explain anything important to tests. All work in class is done on Excel (and she goes FAST) but they don't prepare you for her tests (which are unfair given you don't feel like she taught what was important for exams). I ignored these reviews and took her and I regret it. All tests are on paper, but her ENTIRE class is Excel-based. She's all over the place and it's hard that she expects us to only do Excel problems in class and then completely different problems on the test. It's cruel and unfair and I haven't talked to a single classmate that finds her style helpful. The tests feel impossible, but that's just because nothing we learn in class is relevant to the exams. My friends with other professors don't struggle as much with these tests because their profs actually teach them what needs to be learned for tests. She just completely wants her students to fail and doesn't care.  - Grade In Class:C

Comments:ACC 3305 - Farish is awesome, I took this as a Finance major and thought she did a great job of balancing work/lecture/participation so we weren't bored. Workload isn't bad at all. For the tests, study the group assignments. She runs the class efficiently and I was more engaged in this class than my other 2 accounting classes. She also responds to emails in minutes which I liked. 100% recommend  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ACC 4308 - Regardless of which professor you have for advanced managerial, your success in this course is going to be based off of how much you remember from the intro to managerial course, as I would say about 85% of the content is the exact same and only 15% is new. Prof. Farish is hit or miss when it comes to teaching this course, as some topics she explains super well and other topics she hardly provides any examples. I find that the less you remember from intro managerial, the more confused you will be (which should not be the case). Additionally, we do these excel assignments and it is a little bit frustrating because she does not help guide us through it and a lot of it is just dependent on how good you are with remembering content and using excel. I think Prof. Farish is a decent professor but she could definitely be better.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3305 - After dropping her course last semester and then becoming a returning customer, I would have to say not much has changed for the better in this course. Professor Farish is an intelligent person who knows a lot about accounting, but she’s teaching it to finance majors, not accounting majors. A lot of us are only in this course because it is mandatory that we take it, so it would be nice if we didn’t have to spend hours each day with unnecessary amounts of pointless homeworks. Your canvas To-Do list will always be full of accounting assignments that make up a fraction of your overall grade, and they have almost no correlation with the exams. Speaking of the exams, they are so hard for absolutely no reason. The practice exams she offers in canvas are Mickey Mouse compared to the actual exam, so they basically offer no help whatsoever. Also, when you are called on, she can be quite condescending if you’re not sure of the answer or haven’t done the class Prep. Overall, some changes need to be made in the near future.  - Grade In Class:C+

Comments:3305 - For a teacher who KNOWS she's teaching finance majors, she sure makes you hate accounting with a passion. This woman is ridiculous. She thinks that her class is your only class- and assigns workload based on that thought. We had hours of homework every week and most of them were just stupid assignments that didn't relate to our exams. Speaking of exams, these were so unnecessarily difficult. They took the entire hour and 15 mins, and most of the questions were stuff we had never seen before. Like actually insane. I can't stand this class and Professor Farish is so annoying and just the worst.  - Grade In Class:C

Comments:4308 - I thought Ms. Farish was a decent teacher (and she\'s pretty nice too). She gives you the notes and that, along with the in-class work and online assignments, is enough to do well on the tests. There was a time or two when I went to her office hours for help and really wasn\'t given the help I expected (particularly on an Excel assignment) and I heard similar things from other students. Overall the class is really easy - I\'d say that almost half the content is just a review of the earlier managerial course. One of the excel assignments is annoying and the paper is really stupid, but the work is the same across all the managerial teachers. Not sure who the best teacher for this class is, but you\'re probably fine with any of them.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:4308 - This is not a hard course but she is a terrible teacher and in extremely condescending if you ever have a question. If you have to take her its not a big deal because its really not a challenging class especially after taking intermediate 1 and 2 but she's just not a good professor. She's very new, maybe it will get better.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:4308 - Cost. This was her first semester teaching, as she works for PWC as well. She can be a nice person, but her lessons are hard to follow and her tests are kind of unreasonable for an hour and fifteen minute class period, as they are 15-20 MC questions and around 8 work out problems. The homework doesn't really relate to the tests, but her in-class problems are generally good study material. I think she could be a really good professor eventually, but it is going to take time. There's also several Excel projects which suck, but I think every class does those no matter your professor. This class is similar to managerial accounting, but significantly more difficult.   - Grade In Class:B+
