Comments:1301 - He's seems really busy, but he was nice and tried to explain things well. I'm not terribly interested in the subject, but I thought is was a pretty easy A if you just did the minimum required.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1301 - This class was one of my stressful classes this semester. I joined it last minute because I really needed a fine arts credit and am a senior and couldn't do it the following semester. This was the only class open and I regret taking it. I am a health student and need a good GPA and ended the course with a B+ when it should have been an easy A. It is an intro to acting class but was not treated like one. In the beginning of the course, we would play games but as the semester went on it got harder and stressful. He makes you memorize scripts and act them out in class in front of everyone with the spotlight shining on you. He gives you critiques in front of everyone and tells you what you need to work on. Every time I would walk into this class, I would get very nervous because it was really scary- he would ask everyone to go one by one. I don't recommend this course with this teacher. He is also a hard grader and gave me an 85 on participation when I tried really hard for this class and was forced to get out of my comfort zone. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS W HIM.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:THEA 1301 - Gosh, where do I even begin? This class really disappointed me and I felt like I was trying to gasp for air every time I attended. Brandon's class is so unorganized and he pays no attention to any of his students. I was dealing with debilitating health problems during the course of the semester I was in Brandon's class. He was made aware of every single issue that I was having with my health from the very first day it began. He pretended to care and understand everything that I was going through. I had to return back to my home state towards the end of the semester in order to focus on myself and on my health. Brandon told me that I would be able to complete his assignments online and keep up with the class in that way. Long story short, when I got home Brandon switched up and said I could no longer turn in any assignments to keep up with his class. He recommended that I either take an incomplete or take a late withdrawal from the semester entirely. He said the highest grade he could give me was a 60%, which was so disrespectful considering that I attended all his classes WHILE VERY SICK, and completed as many assignments as I could despite his class being so confusing and unorganized. This was so absolutely frustrating for me and disgusting that a professor would act this way towards a sick student. There was no structure to this course, and we were all very confused on what was due and what wasn't during the entirety of this class. Brandon also left us mid-semester to take a month of paternity leave when his wife had a kid unexpectedly. His substitute prof, Stan, was absolutely amazing and was so kind and caring to me and understanding of what I was going through. All in all, please make a big decision before choosing to take this class. I also had no issues with any of my other professors during my sickness as they were ALL so accommodating and helpful during that time. I am not a theater major, and I was only supposed to be taking this class for fine arts credit, but because of Brandon I had to withdraw from the whole entire semester so I wouldn't risk my GPA falling and creating more issues for me academically. He hurt a part of my future at Baylor and put me even more behind in my major because of his lack of empathy and understanding towards a student willing to do anything to achieve academic success. A shame.  - Grade In Class:DROP

Comments:4395 - This class was a fantastic challenge while also being incredibly rewarding. While not strictly required for my major, I would recommend every theatre major take this class if they can before they graduate. Brandon is highly knowledgeable in stage combat, and eager to share his knowledge. The class is very physically demanding, but that is to be expected from a stage combat course. Brandon always made himself available when he could to help us figure out our choreography or even just to just let us work on our own in the space when it was available. The only issue I took with the class was the lack of communication on our quizzes near the end of the semester, but that was mostly due to the snow storm throwing everything out of order. I cannot recommend this class or the person who teaches it higher.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1301 - Acting 1-Realism. I took this class to fulfill my fine arts requirement- I am not a theater major. Overall, this was not a great class. The prof is a decent guy but his class is so incredibly unorganized and he is so hard to get in contact with outside of class. Our class didn't even make it through half the syllabus, and no one ever knew what was going on. Granted, this could be in part due to the winter storm and COVID; however neither is an excuse for the complete lack of transparency.   - Grade In Class:A
