Comments:PWR 3309 - DO NOT TAKE LAUREN SHORT. Her grading is extremely biased. She will count so many points off for the weirdest reasons. She doesn't give any helpful or beneficial feedback. She pushes her views onto you and the assignments are a lot. There a many essays or projects that mainly make up your grade which she grades very harshly. STAY AWAY FROM HER.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:PWR 3309 - Dr. Short is such a sweet, thoughtful professor. It's truly such a joy to show up to her Creative Nonfiction class. She cares more about teaching her students how to become better writers than she does about just giving a million assignments. The workload is pretty minimal and makes it easier for us to get excited about the content. For sicknesses or hard personal stuff, she is extremely accommodating and empathetic. I just adore her.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:PWR 3300 - This class is pretty easy if you do the work as Dr. Short doesn't grade strictly at all, but there is a decent amount of one page memos you have to write. There are four projects: a professional development project (where you write about your future career and how writing is used in your career), instructions and usability project (make instructions for something you know how to do well), and a group writing project (where you make a product or solve a problem and write to persuade people to buy or implement your product or solution). These projects coincide with the two textbooks for the class which you have reading quizzes that you have to do before class pretty much every two class periods. Luckily, the quiz answers are directly from the book, so it seems that the point is just to make sure we are reading rather than a difficult quiz. There are no exams in this class which is nice and if you do bad on a project you can redo one of the three, but also have to include a letter to Dr Short on all the changes you made. Dr Short is super nice and caring as well and is willing to make sure you succeed in the class. I would highly recommend taking Dr. Short for technical writing   - Grade In Class:A
