Comments:HIS 1300 - Extremely boring in lectures and very easy class. Read nothing and got an A. Did not study for the exams so if you are a senior, take this easy GPA booster.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:HIS 1300 - Do not listen to these reviews because I loved her class. Yes at times it could be a little boring, but it was so easy and she was so sweet. She would start off each class by showing us pictures of pets and I loved it so much. There are no exams except for the final and the quizzes are open note. No homework either for the most part. I don't know if she still does it, but you also spend like half of the semester playing a "roleplaying" game and I honestly had so much fun. I hate public speaking and did not have to speak at all in front of the class during the game, but if you love to give speeches, there is also an option for that too. While playing the game you basically do nothing for like 5 weeks straight, it was great. She is blind, and she is quiet, but she is so kind. Also, the final was quite literally the easiest thing in the world, I barely studied and got a high A. Don't let these reviews scare you!!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1300 - So, where do you begin with Dr. Benham. I was nervous since the previous ratings say she's a blind crazy cat lady (which she is) but not exactly in a bad way. I wouldn't say I learned much but there are weekly quizzes from the readings she assigns and you also play a game for like 3 weeks towasrds the end of class (I have no idea what it was about because I didn't pay attention) but yeah then the rest of the semester is a breeze. There are 2 weekly quizzes (super easy I got a 10/10 on all of them) then a speech and paper you have to write for the game, a midterm and the final which is an essay and also fill in the blank. She is super lenient with grading, when it comes to fill in the blank as well. The only bad thing I can say is that her class is extremely boring though. Lastly, she does show pet pictures of everyones pet they send in.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:1300 - This class is an easy A as long as you put in minimal effort. As long as you take notes for her open note quizzes you'll do fine. If she gives out a hard quiz which everyone does bad on then shell curve everyones grade. Very reasonable and wants everyone to succeed. She doesn't have tests, just 2-3 essays worth a test grade. She grades very lightly and most people will never get below a B with minimal effort. Her final allowed for a Notecard cheat sheet which allowed me to get the 35 fill in the blank questions mostly correct and a hand written essay with a prompt given to you prior to the final. Her class can be boring and lecturey at some times. As long as you take notes outside for class to prep for the quizzes, write good essays and take notes in class here and there you’ll easily get an A. Side note: She will ask the class for pet pictures so she can put them into her lecture slides. Highly Recommend.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1300 - Prof Benham is a good choice especially if you want a blow off class with a really easy A. Exams were easy, quizzes open notes and internet, discussions are completion grades. Downside is she is EXTREMELY BORING and does not allow any tech in class, even if you use an iPad to take notes.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1300 - The class is almost a blow off. just do the readings/ assignments in canvas.. literally 20 minutes a week. You can get away not doing the readings because she'll most likely give you time in class. There are 2 exams and a final essay. Despite her unorganized methods of teaching, if you just do the assignments its an easy A. Just don't expect to actually understand global history as she is all over the place and jumps around like no other.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:HIS 1300 - This class was such a joke lol. The first test was literally 5 topics we had to write an ID paragraph about- easy. Then the second test we had 30 topics to study the "Takeaways" from and choose from one of four topics to write an ID for. But it was so stupid because I didn't even know what to study fro the takeaways, and the test showed that too. The final was just a 700 word essay and there was no exam, so after the second test nobody paid attention to any lecture. She's literally legally blind and super awkward. I really don't recommend her, even tho this class was such a blowoff. You can get away with not reading at all and still get an A+.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1300 - Most people that think the workload for this class is too much are probably lazy. You have about three easy readings per week, the final is an essay and a timeline project that you can work on throughout the semester, and the midterms are paragraphs on topics you take notes on. She is a funny lady and loves to look at class pets. I got lost during her lectures sometimes, but as history is not my major it was definetely one of my easier prerequisites.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1300 - Okay yea she is a boring blind problematic cat lady but like in general sweet and kinda funny lady. Class is pretty easy. The homework takes like 5 min to do and the midterm is easy, the one essay isn’t even graded you just get an A if you did it. Fall asleep a lot but it’s whatever.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:HIST 1300 - I don’t know what the other reviews are talking about. She’s AMAZING. She engages with the class and gives detailed notes. If you do the readings (which are pretty minimal for a college history class) and go to class you will pass with a high grade. She’s so sweet and really wants everyone to succeed.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:HIS 1300 - Professor Benham is a really nice cat lady who is legally blind (not joking). There are readings and quizzes before every class which is a bit much. Her lectures are pretty good and helpful. Come to class because that is how you get the information you need for the midterm, final project, and final exam.  - Grade In Class:A
