Comments:1310 - I cannot BELIEVE the reviews on Dr Zhang. She is an AMAZING person and such a smart and talented professor. I have taken two classes with her and wish I could take every course for the rest of my life with a professor like her. People find anything to complain about, anddon'tt understand how lucky they are to have a teacher who cares for them and doesn't overload them with work and unnecessary stuff. English can be boring, but Dr Zhang is anything but boring. Have a conversation with her before writing her off as a boring "lame" professor. Shame on whoever complained about her accent. Taking a class with Dr Zhang is a privlege and I hope more people can see that.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ENG 2301 - The most boring class in the world. Dr. Zhang is very wholesome and friendly, personality-wise, but her friendliness does NOT translate into good teaching ability; She doesn't orate well (And this is counting aside her Chinese accent, which is not that bad), tries to feign enthusiasm and energy that she obviously doesn't possess (She openly admitted that she doesn't have the energy to teach 8AM classes, which her class was), and her lectures amount to rehashing homework without any deeper insight or analysis, more or less resorting to asking students about their menial opinions on daily reading assignments. Simply, this class will bore you to death, but at least her class's workload is quite light and she is an incredibly easy grader, so if you make a grade less than an A+ , you know you've done something completely wrong when you took this class. Just take this class if you want an easy, but soul-draining, blow-off class for your English gen-ed credit.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2301 - I loved professor Zhangs class. We had quizzes once or twice a week and reading journals that were really doable. She is a super understanding teacher and I am not sure why her score on here is so low, we basically just talked in class and barely had any outside work the entire semester besides a midterm and final.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ENG 1310 - Dr. Zhang is very kind and personable. The lectures themselves aren’t super engaging, but I don’t think that’s really to her own fault. 1310 really just revolves around improving as a writer, which comes mostly from drafting, revising, and getting feedback, in my opinion. Very reasonable course load, any assignments/handouts are mainly there to help you write your essays. She grades pretty kindly, as well. Doesn’t make a research writing class a struggle, which I can respect.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1310 - She was very helpful. Sometimes she's a bit awkward, but all of the handouts we received in class were super helpful when we had to write our 10 page essay for our class final. All of our other grades in class were simply completion grades. Super easy class.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:2301 - I personally loved her class. There's quizzes like once a week and reading journals that are essentially participation. I got the textbook from the bookstore but most of the material people around my just had online. Theres a midterm and final- both of which aren't too hard if you haven't completely neglected the reading- and a course essay due around thanksgiving. It's a longer essay but you have enough time and get extra credit if you go to the writing center. I may be a tad biased as I enjoy short stories and reading into material but nonetheless her class isn't difficult and she's super sweet and has given me extension when I asked. I'd take her again.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1310 - She was not the best teacher, but it was her first year of teaching and I think the only thing that was difficult about her class is the workload. The only grades that matter are your essays. And you can easily get a good grade on them if you understand what it is. And she lets you do essay corrections.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1310 - Class is overall pretty easy. Lots of long essays, like 9 page essays. Super boring class and she kinda sucks at teaching, but she's nice. It's not hard to make a good grade in here, just a lot of work and you have to sit through a boring and long class. Also, she never lets you out early. like ever. If anything, she will let you out late. Lame.   - Grade In Class:A
