*A 5 star workload is an easy workload; a 3 star is average; whereas a 1 star workload is extremely hard.
Comments:2310 - If you have to take 2310, I cannot recommend Dr. Reynolds enough. If you've ever seen Dead Poets Society, which is one of his favorite movies, that's literally him. He is the kindest, most genuine professor I have ever had, and his values and care for his students are reflected in the course and the works he assigns to read. He wants his students not only to succeed, but also to be happy and enjoy life. There is a 250-word response due over the assigned reading before each class, but these are essentially completion grades. Exams are extremely doable for someone who usually hates English courses and writing essays; he tells you exactly what you need to know. There is one major essay (4-5 pages) that is pretty straightforward and easy to get a good grade on if you meet all the requirements. Overall, it's an easy course that genuinely impacted me because of how great Dr. Reynolds is. If you can take him, DO IT! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2310 - TAKE HIM! By far my favorite class at baylor because of who he is and what he values. He actually cares about all his students and it is the one class I have taken at baylor that challenges thoughts about life and meaning. We had regular discussions and it seriously felt like more of a family than a class! This class changed the way I walk through life and has allowed me to slow down to see all that God is doing and the blessings we live in. - Grade In Class:B
Comments:ENG 2310 - If you have the chance to, you have to take a class with Professor Reynolds. He is so kind and helpful and genuinely cares about each student in the class. I really enjoyed taking his class this past semester, it was more than just an English class, we had a lot of valuable discussions and I learned so much just from hearing from others. The workload isn't bad at all, you have to do readings before every class with a reflection, but it really isn't anything crazy and was pretty easy. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:ENG 2310 - BEST PROFESSOR EVER! He is so nice and genuine and has a genuine love for teaching, and it's so awesome being in his class. The workload is not bad just make sure to actually read the books and do the reading responses and you will be fine! TAKE HIS CLASS HE IS AMAZING - Grade In Class:A
Comments:ENG 2310 - Mr. Reynolds is one of the best teacher I have ever had. He is genuine, intentional and he cares about his students-he knew every students name by day two and did not forget once. His class is truly thought provoking and just please not to be in. I highly recommend everyone take his class regardless of your purpose in doing so. His workload is very manageable and makes what you’re learning enjoyable. You also get to watch two movies in this class. This guy cares!!! Take his class!!! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:ENG 2310 - Professor Reynolds is, hands down, one of the best professors Baylor has to offer. I'm a senior and took him my last semester of undergrad and wish I took him earlier to sign up for other classes he teaches. He finds the perfect balance between reading, discussing, and teaching material. The reading is very interesting and barely felt like homework. I never skipped this class because I never wanted to. Most of the time, this class was the highlight of my day. Do yourself a favor and take this class. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:ENG 2310 - Professor Reynolds is one of the kindest professors I’ve had, and his lectures are always super engaging. His passion for literature really comes through in every class, which made the course feel more like a thoughtful conversation than a lecture. Throughout the semester, we read a few books and had open discussions about them. What I appreciated most was how he never made anyone feel wrong for their interpretation—he genuinely believes that every reader brings something unique to a text. There are two group projects, both very manageable, and each class starts with a short discussion post that’s easy as long as you’ve done the reading. His grading is fair, and he gives helpful feedback that encourages you to think deeper without feeling discouraged. Overall, I loved this class and his teaching style. It created a space where everyone felt comfortable sharing their thoughts. I’d definitely take this course—or any course he teaches—again. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2310 - Professor Reynolds is such a kind man who transformed his teaching style and classroom into something much different than I had ever experienced. We took nature walks, wrote personal reflections, wrote poems, watched movies, took field trips, and always engaged in class discussions. If you are looking for a class to learn more than just American Literature, take him, I learned so much about important literature in American History and how it still influences us today. He is super attentive and caring for his students, remembered all our names and gave us a gift at the end of the semester. TAKE HIM! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2310 - TAKE DR. REYNOLDS!! You're going to want to go to every class. Dr. Reynolds brings to life the relevance and significance of the novels in the most unexpected ways: We watched movies, had a field trip, a nature walk, etc. Not only were they enjoyable but incredibly impactful and inspiring. There were readings before every class but if you just go to every class and pay attention (its really easy because the classes are enjoyable) you will for sure pass. I would take this class again and will miss the class and Dr. Reynolds!! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2310 - Amazing professor! Dr. Reynolds centers this class around discussion to understand and interpret the works we read. I don't love talking in front of large groups, but Dr. Reynolds is super encouraging and makes it very comfortable to share your thoughts. He's never responded negatively to anyone, and always thanks us for sharing and says he loves hearing our thoughts. He also made class fun by switching things up sometimes. Definitely the best professor you'll have at Baylor, and couldn't recommend taking him more! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:ENG 2310 - Dr. Reynolds is absolutely amazing. He is one of my favorite professors/teachers I've ever had in my education. This class was awesome. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:ENG 2310 - This is seriously the best class I've ever taken in my life. I'm a stem major, and would have never imagined enjoying this class as much as I did. The course is very structured and diverse, and Professor Reynolds demonstrates how much he cares about the lives of his students with every single class. There is time devoted at the beginning and end of class for writing and reflection, and the class discussions are always fun. I could not recommend this class enough! I didn't want it to end! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:ENG2310 - This class is everything that school should be. It is structured so that there are 2 exams, a paper, a group project, and daily reflections. If you read and turn everything in on time, there is no reason you shouldn't get an A in this course. But besides grades, Dr. Reynolds is a wonderful human being. He is kind, understanding, and most importantly human. He tailors each class to be impactful (aka you won't be staring at slides all day). He had us go on a nature walk, set up a field trip the Armstrong browning, watch movies during class, and engage in meaningful discussions. The assignments were a means to an end, but Dr. Reynolds ensured that you'd walk out of class inspired. I've never had a class like this before, and I will miss it!! They key to success is to have an open mind and show up to class. It'll be over too quick! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:ENG 2310 - Incredible professor and grateful I took him in my last semester of Senior year. Really allows us to think about life and our goals as we read the books. His exams are literally lecture notes with very basic questions from the book. Focus on the character, dates (broad ones) and themes of the readings for the exams. The essay, book reflections and presentations are easy points so no one should be be able to get less than an A- or B+ if you turn in your work. Should be promoted to department chair for his teaching prowess. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2310 - Professor Reynolds is great. I disagreed with him about an assignment early in the semester and in the moment sent a rather snarky rudely-worded email, but even after that he never held it against me in class or in the grade book. I learned a lot about literature and early American authors, and he also switched it up sometimes by letting us watch a movie or go journal outside. He’s a cool guy and he really cares about the subject he’s teaching. Most of the English teachers I’ve had previously have ‘fit the stereotype’, but he breaks the mold and makes the class entertaining. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2310 - Best professor I've had at Baylor. I would recommend him to anyone who has to take Amerian Lit. I'm a stem major and I thoroughly enjoyed this class. I thought the workload was appropriate for the class and he is a very generous grader. I would take another class with him again! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:3306 - Professor Reynolds BROKE MY SCALE! HE IS BEYOND EXCELLENT, HELPFUL, ENCOURAGING, AND TEACHES YOU SO MUCH ABOUT LIFE!!! This man is the reason I have an english minor! I will rave about him till my dying breath. Not only is this class an easy A if you show up and turn in one assignment per class (only work you have todo), this class is engaging and fun. Dr. Reynolds cares deeply about his students and takes time to get to know you. He knows so many things about me and actually remembers them. He starts every class by asking what fun movies or books everyone has read. I literally email this man for book recommendations. He invites students to come trick or treat at his house on halloween. I LOVE this man with my whole heart. He is the definition of pure and sweetness!!! I came into class crying one day because I had just bombed an exam before hand and he spent the whole time consoling me and telling me what I great student I was. His class is just as great as he is! I am not a writer, by any means, but this man got me to write a novel. He helped me learn to be creative again which no other professor at Baylor has done in my 3 years here. Dr. Reynolds teaches you how to do well at life, how to be a good person, and how to life a joyful and adventurous life. I might just publish a novel because of this man now. Truly cannot recommend him enough for any of his courses!!!! HE IS AMAZINGLY WONDERFUL! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:ENG 2310 - I actually can't recommend this class enough. It is rare to enjoy attending general ed classes, but I truly looked forward to going to this English class every time I had it. It is very easy to do well in the class, because Professor Reynolds sets it up in such a way that his students can be successful. Professor Reynolds also cares for his students as human beings. Everything that is discussed in class is for the bettering of us as individuals. I'm honestly going to miss this class! TAKE HIM! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2310 - he is amazing!!!!!!!!! i have recommended him to every single person i can! his class is fun, never boring, and he is understanding beyond measure!!!!! truly my favorite professor i have had so far at baylor, and i would take his class again even though i passed!!!!! 100000/10!!!!! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2310 - I enjoyed being part of Mr. Reynolds class this semester. The assignments you complete throughout the semester are reading responses, an exam during mid semester, an essay, a group presentation, and a cumulative final exam. A part from academics, Mr. Reynolds teaches in a way that pushes you pass just reading and writing. He wants to see the creative side of you through your essay, reading responses, and final presentation. This class is relatively on the easier side but that doesn't mean you don't learn. I would highly recommend everyone to take his class as he is a great professor, caring to his students, and gives us all the resources in order to succeed in his class! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:ENG2310 - Truly one of the best professor\\\'s I have ever had! I learned so much in his class, not just about the material, but about life as well. Professor Reynolds teaches students things beyond just the classroom. I looked forward to every class day because I knew I would learn something new. The workload was not bad at all and he is a very friendly grader. Definitely take him if you get the chance!! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:ENG 2310 and 1310 - Best teacher ever!!! Lots of group work and class discussion, work load was manageable with other classes. Definitely recommend his classes! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2310 - TAKE HIM, TAKE HIM, I CAN'T REPEAT THIS ENOUGH. I made an account JUST to talk about how amazing Dr. Reynolds is. His "class", though technically just an English class, is centered around teaching his students life lessons they can take with them into their futures. For example, the first day of class we literally meditated and thought about our significance within the universe. Another day we got to take our journals, sit outside in whatever spot we chose, and write about how the sun feels on our skin and the breeze in our hair. AND THAT WAS CLASS. I don't know about y'all, but personally I need as many freebies as I can get because school (and life in general) is HARD--this class offers that. He doesn't give you any busy work--literally just read what's assigned, do a little reflection on it, and come to class to discuss life. THAT'S IT. This man is such an angel and I truly looked forward to coming to his class every single day. Speaking of being an angel--I have two cases that PROVE this man's pureness. I ended up missing the first day of class due to me being stupid and accidentally stabbing through my hand with a knife (fun fact, kids: do NOT attempt to open an avocado with the knife perpendicular to your hand), and so I spent the first day of class in the ER. One of my friends in the class told him, and lemme tell you, I did NOT expect to immediately receive an email THAT concerned for my hand. Like, hold on--you care? You actually went out of your way to check on me? A wee student?? Anyways, the first day I got back THIS MAN KNEW EACH ONE OF US BY NAME (which shocked me), and immediately turned to me and started asking if I was alright, how the ER was, were my parents concerned, etc? I knew right then and there that he'd be a good professor. Case #2: Finals. So finals comes around and everyone's super stressed right? Well, it just so happens to be my luck that the day of finals, I get broken up with. To top that, I had missed the scheduled time of the final and mixed up the times, so I had technically failed. Great. I spent all day in my room crying my eyes out, I didn't even have the strength to get up and eat--it was bad. But in the back of my mind I knew I had to email Dr. Reynolds and at least TRY to do the final. So, I grabbed my computer at freaking midnight and do the stupid final as best I could (it was a bunch of SAQs) before emailing it to the poor man as well as an apology stating that I at least wanting him to know that I tried. I'm still sobbing, still not eating, at this point I'm dehydrated and getting a splitting headache, and I might fail my English class. Great. BUT LO AND BEHOLD COMES DR. REYNOLDS, THIS ABSOLUTE KING, AND HE EMAILS ME BACK. This man is so understanding and (again) incredibly concerned, AND ALLOWED MY FINAL TO COUNT (granted, he did take off 10 points for it being late) BUT STILL--I DIDN'T FAIL. I almost started sobbing again right then and there--that was a mercy I was desperately needing that day. Anyways, Dr. Reynolds, if you see this, I'm truly grateful to you. Please keep being cool and kind! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:ENG2310 - TAKE HIM! There is no better option than Professor Reynolds. I have never had a negative experience in class or ever wanted to leave class before. Pastor Reynolds cares so much about his students and on the first day of class he memorized everyone's names. He is so personal with each one of his students and cares so much. He would always give us feedback and say how we all have great thoughts which I appreciated so much. Professor Reynolds is a professor I wish I can have for every single subject. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:ENG 2310 - TAKE HIM!!!!! I do not like English classes, but Professor Reynolds is honestly the goat. He is the only teacher that I have written a thank you letter for because he was such an awesome teacher. He really cares about you and your success, in and outside of the classroom. He promotes higher and more personal thinking rather than just spitting out what others tell you. The actaul work is extremely light however there is quite a bit of reading, but that is to be expected in any of these English classes. All we do for homework is reflect personally on what we read, and in class we reflect on quotes and do in class activities. It is very easy and I am fairly certain you get full credit just for doing and putting in a valid effort. I could not recommend him enough. Please do yourself a favor and take him. Love you Professor Reynolds. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:ENG 2310 - Dr. Reynolds has been my favorite professor at Baylor so far! I took him for two classes and thoroughly enjoyed both. His class consists mostly of homework reading responses and a paper. However, he wants his students to gain a true understanding of the books and to learn how to think for themselves, not just to regurgitate information. You will not regret taking him! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2310 ENG - TAKE THIS CLASS! Reynolds truly is the best professor I've ever taken. The class is so relaxing and really expands your mind. Reynolds is not only an amazing professor, but a friend as well. His motivation for your success is unlike no other, and understands your other work loads in different classes. He is excited about the class, which makes it better. The work load is not bad, mostly readings and responses. Overall, Jonathan Reynolds is the best! Would hhighly recommend! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2310 - TAKE PROFESSOR REYNOLDS! Such an inspiring class. Lots of reading but if you keep up with this course work, this will be one of the most inspiring classes you will take at Baylor. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:ENG2310 and ENG1310 - THE BEST PROFESSOR AT BAYLOR!! Professor Reynolds is hands down my favorite professor. He not only teaches the class material well, but he teaches his students about life. He opens each class with a quote and has us write our thoughts about it in a journal. We then share our thoughts with the class and he always encourages us to keep thinking and to be confident in our own opinion. What surprised me the most is that he learned all of our names in the first ten minutes on class. He addresses us by our names and shows he sees us as more than just college students. I've learned so much from him, about both english and of life. He is willing to help us on work for his class and even answer some questions we may have about our own lives. You can easily tell that he loves this job and truly cares about his students. There is so much more I could say about Professor Reynolds, but the bottom line is, take his class! You will not be disappointed and you'll learn so much from him. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:ENG 2310 - Professor Reynolds is one of the best English professors I have ever had in my life! It was an absolute privilege to be in the classroom with him. He is incredibly kind, passionate about teaching, and very down to Earth. Please take this class. The workload consists of a fairly brief reading after every class followed by a 200 word response in which he just wants to hear what you have to say. There is no wrong answer to these reading responses. One semester essay and a group project. The class is entirely discussion based and engaging with the other students. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1310 and 2310 - Dr. Reynolds is the best professor I have ever taken at Baylor. If you're looking for an easy class this is not the class to take, that's not to say it is hard though. Your grade reflects the work you put in. Reynolds is one of those professors that makes you think about the world in a different way. His classes are always interactive and fun. He is genuinely the most helpful and sweet professor here. He wants you to succeed and takes the time to know and support you. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:English 2310 - I cannot say enough good things about Jonathan Reynolds. His way of connecting with his students beyond the classroom is AMAZING. He is not only a professor but a true friend to his students. Real-life John Keating from Dead Poets Society. Very manageable workload (basic readings along with a 200-word summary for each for which there are no guidelines, just write your thoughts). Also be prepared to not just sit in the classroom for lectures but to participate in group work, outside activities, watching documentaries, and even occasionally playing a game. His classroom fosters individuality and creativity at all times. WE LOVE PROFESSOR REYNOLDS!!!!! <3 - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2310 & 1310 - Professor Reynolds is one of the most caring and attentive people I have ever met. He shows a genuine interest in his students and their well being, and will go out of his way to help! These classes were incredibly intriguing, and I was so fortunate to take Prof Reynolds for two classes. I felt prepared for the tests and Professor Reynolds made class and learning extremely interesting. The essays were time consuming but ample time was given during class to prepare. I would definitely recommend taking Professor Reynolds, and he is such a servant hearted teacher! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:Eng 2310 - In all my life I have never met such a down to Earth person as Professor Reynolds. His class was not merely educational but just as inspirational. I looked forward everyday to attending his class and being able to be a part of the wonderful and challenging discussions that his class offers. Hands down THE BEST PROFFESOR I HAVE EVER HAD!! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:ENG 2310 - Being in Mr. Reynold's class has easily been the most impactful and inspiring experience throughout my time here at Baylor thus far. The wonderful literary works we discussed throughout the semester were not boring in the slightest and the class was stimulating and the readings were equally provoking as they were interesting. Mr. Reynolds taught me things I will take beyond Baylor and he is always someone you can go to for advice, for education, and life alike. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2310 - TAKE PROFESSOR REYNOLDS. HE IS A LIVING LEGEND!!! His class was amazing in how he let us form our own opinions and share them without feeling any judgment. Any opinion if it was your own is a correct opinion. The workload wasn\'t bad if you just listen in class and take notes you will do great. The tests aren\'t bad and there is an essay at the end which isn\'t hard. I would 100/100 recommend taking him for American Literature he made this my favorite class of the semester and I am a business major. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2310 - TAKE PROFESSOR REYNOLDS!!! I am not an English major, so I was iffy going into this course, but Professor Reynolds exceeded all my expectations in the best way possible! The course load is light, which I appreciated since I have many science classes, and the only tests are a midterm and final. The midterm and final are on the fairly easy side as long as you do the readings assigned each week. This class has been one of my favorite ones I’ve taken in my undergrad years, and professor Reynolds is the nicest man ever. One day he even brought the whole class books and inside the cover he had wrote a personal note to each of us by name. Trust me when I say to take him!!!! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2310 - Professor Reynolds was by far one of my favorites at Baylor. He really does care about his students and he is very encouraging. His American Literature class is super interesting and mind-opening as well. There are readings for most class days, but he never assigns too much work. TAKE HIM!!!! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:ENG 1310 - Amazing professor; Really cares about your research topic and the class as a whole; The essay process is a lot of work, but if you ask him to review your work, he'll set you on the right track; Tough grader but lets you review three essays for a better grade; 10/10 professor. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1310 - GET. PROFESSOR. REYNOLDS. BEST TEACHER! He gave easy completion grade reading responses for homework and made the topics in class interesting and engaging. Doesn’t count absences against your grade! The main grades in class were 3 essays, and he lets you edit one for a higher grade. He will tell you exactly what to edit (it took me about 30 minutes!) and it went from a B to an A. He gave us donuts after every essay and gifted us special edition Frankenstein books! He is extremely caring and is there to help with any questions. He is very understanding as well. The essays definitely take some time, but he gives you some class time to work on them and gives you an outline. Take him!!!!! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:ENG 1310 - Professor Reynolds is hands down the best teacher for ENG 1310, get him if you can! He listens to and motivates his student throughout the course and understands that you are a college student going through more than just this course. There are 3 major essays, he will allow you to revise one for a higher grade. I personally revised my second essay from a "D" to an "A" so it is totally possible. As well there are small response writings in the beginning half of the course but it's super easy. And I really mean that he cares about his students after completing every essay he brought in donuts for us, as well as letting us enjoy the outdoors one class period. And anytime I emailed him he got back to me the same day with detailed thoughts on my writing for me to improve. Overall, use the writing center and be interested in your topic. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1350 - I have nothing but great things to say about professor Reynolds! He is truly an amazing teacher and person and cares about each and every one of his students. He wants everyone to succeed and makes the class super interesting! Personally, I have always dreaded going to English class but I found myself excited to go to professor reynold’s class! We watch movies, read3 books, and post short discussions on what we read. The workload is very manageable with a midterm covering the authors we read and ONE short paper (4pages) on one of the works of our choice comparing it to the movie. TAKE PROFESSOR REYNOLDS!!!! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2310 - Prof Reynold's is the GOAT. He not only makes his class enjoyable to be in, but he teaches us life lessons and he shows us how much he really cares about the subject. Best teacher I have EVER had - Grade In Class:A
Comments:American Lit. - Mr. Reynolds doesn't only teach English, he teaches us to question things in your life. Because of that I very much enjoyed this class. The work isn't ridiculous and it feels like you actually learn something about the books and the message they're trying to give. Mr. Reynolds lets you express your opinion as well as the majority consensus of the work. Best teacher to the start of my first semester! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:American Literary Culture - Best English teacher I’ve had in my entire life. I’ve never liked any of my English classes at any level of schooling but Mr. Reynolds somehow got me to like English. He presented the material in a very enjoyable, practical way that was easy for the students to receive while making the actual learning part fun. There was usually reading before each class but the workload was nowhere near over bearing. Very manageable. He is so passionate about the material he is teaching and that passion has clearly rubbed off on me and my classmates. He is the kind of professor everyone NEEDS to have. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:ENG 2310 - Professor Reynolds is an amazing professor! This was his first semester ever teaching at Baylor and he did an amazing job. He's very organized, reasonable, and understanding. The only somewhat tedious part of this class was the biweekly reading responses that were due before each class but even those weren't that bad only 150-200 words each. There was a midterm and cumulative final which if you paid attention in class and somewhat read, weren't that hard. Reynold's classes were always exciting, engaging, and different. I don't know any professor as invested as him. TAKE HIM! You won't regret it. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2310 - Professor Reynolds has definitely been one of my favorite teachers at Baylor thus far. Additionally, Professor Reynolds was one of the only teachers I had who actually learned all the names of his students by the second week of class. Although this might not seem all that important, it meant a lot to me. The things that we learned in American Lit were actually interesting, and Professor Reynolds did a fantastic job of teaching us new material in a fun and engaging way. We did have to submit a reading response before class each day, which can become a little overwhelming as the semester progresses, but are overall super helpful for understanding what we will be talking about in class that day. I cannot recommend Professor Reynolds enough! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2310 - Professor Reynolds has been one of my favorite professors my whole 3 years at Baylor. I thought the workload was manageable, and I enjoyed the reading responses that we had to turn in as homework. Professor Reynolds really cares about his students, which you cannot say that all professors do. He taught me/the class so many life lessons that could be related back to the literature we were reading. I seriously will never forget about his class, and I suggest you take 2310 with him because he’s the best professor for it!!! I can’t see how anyone could not make an A in this class. Just do your part, put some effort in, and you’ll do great. We also had such fruitful class discussions that created an environment for our intellects to be stimulated and opinions to be expressed freely. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:American Lit 2310 - Professor Reynolds was truly one of the greatest teachers I have ever had!!! He made the focus of the class on understanding and discussing the material rather than memorizing information. We read so many awesome works and had little to no hw and no quizzes. He incorporated lots of cool activities that took us in and out of the classroom. Basically, think of Robin Williams teaching in the Dead Poet’s Society. Super interesting, engaging and relevant conversations. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2310 - BEST PROFESSOR I HAVE EVER HAD! Professor Reynolds is the type of professor that not only helps you to do well in his class but helps you love the topic and learn a new perspective on life. He is absolutely incredible and makes class so engaging and fun. Tests were not hard as long as you did the notes, and homework was extremely easy. Professor Reynolds helped all of his students do well in the class, but most importantly, he related it back to real life. I learned more valuable life lessons in that class than the rest of my time at Baylor. If you do one thing at Baylor, take Professor Reynolds!! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2310 - Prof. Reynolds is by far one of the best professors I have had at Baylor. His course was absolutely incredible and really dove deep into the material. He is one of the first professors that really allowed the class to not just absorb the material but also apply it, one example was in covering transcendentalism. I really learned alot from his brilliant way of teaching Emersons work and have been applying it. However, his class contained some really amazing books like The Road. You will have to read a good amount in this course, but you'll learn to love reading again. I highly recommend taking this. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2310 - Good professor, workload was essentially reading several short pages from a book which only takes several hours to do and then jot down your thoughts into a 200-250 paged essay. Good and entertaining class. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:2310 - This was Mr. Reynolds first semester teaching at Baylor and he did a great job! He is a super nice man and extremely passionate about not only English and literature but his students. His main goal for the semester he told us was just to give us generally conversational knowledge about the works and authors we read. He also wanted us to work on thinking for ourselves and noticing how the lessons in literature can apply to our lives. His work load is very doable and the assignments are easy. For every reading assignment all you had to do was a 200-250 word reading response that could be about any thoughts or ideas you had about the reading as long as it showed you read. Highly recommended taking him! - Grade In Class:A
