*A 5 star workload is an easy workload; a 3 star is average; whereas a 1 star workload is extremely hard.
Comments:1350 - Amazing professor! Like any heritage class, it's long and can get boring, but he makes it interesting and keeps us engaged. Notes are fill in the blank. Tests are multiple choice mainly and some short answer. Before class ends, there's a two question attendance quiz but they're very easy. At the end of the semester, he gives out so many extra credit that I jumped from a whole letter grade. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:REL 1350 - Professor Holleyman is a great professor no doubt. His lectures are interesting, and you just have to follow the powerpoints and fill in the blanks for his exams which are quite easy. There is a quiz before each class but they are light. There are a few essay response questions but they are basically a participation grade. Great professor and person. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1350 - Very easy class, reading quiz before every class takes about ~5 minutes to do. 3 test and study guides provided for them and three "essays" that are super easy with an option of extra credit. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1350 - Heritage: Holleyman is a great professor. His lectures are easy to follow and his exams are easy. His slideshow will have blanks to fill in, which will be the main focus of the exams. He usually takes attendance at the end of class through a password-locked quiz about the material discussed that day. You will have 3 reading reports, which are 1-2 page papers about a reading from the textbook. Getting an A in the class, whether or not you have background knowledge about Christianity or not at all, should be easy as long as you show up and fill in his blanks. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:REL 1350 - "Turn to your neighbor". Fr tho, he was a good teacher and was relatively easy. There were 3 350-500 word essays, with another optional extra credit essay. There were 3 exams, the last being non-cumulative, and taken during finals week. There are also daily reading tests before class every day, bu they take like 15 minutes to do. Take him. - Grade In Class:B
Comments:1350 - Most deserving of a high grade on bu books that I've seen. You can tell how much this man loves the Bible, and is incredibly nice. Makes the class as simple as possible to do, and gives tons of extra credit. He teaches powerpoints that you fill in the blanks with, and that is literally what you have to know for the test. You don't have to know any dumb info or dates, you can probably prep for tests in an hour if needed from how he preps you. Only other work you gotta do are super simple quizzes that take 3 minutes, and 3 reading reports that can take you like 30 minutes each. There's a 4th one you can do for extra credit. I literally just wrote all of them in class whenever we weren't filling in blanks so I had them all done in the first two weeks of the semester. Overall great professor and human being, I would be wary to take Heritage with him as a freshman though cause upper classmen take most of the seats so I was like one of 3 freshman in the class, but I have no other complaints. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1310 - Dr. Holleyman is a great teacher! Each lecture had blanks for us to fill in so that we pay attention, but if we missed one we could ask at the end of class. He also midway through the class has a few-minute break which is nice. Quizzes are not hard at all. He tells us specifically everything we need to know for the test. Tests are pretty easy as long as you study. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1310 - Dr Holleyman is the best. He is extremely kind and truly wants the best for all of his students. He makes the learning very simple with fill in the blanks in the slides. Before exams he will tell you what you need for the exam and with flashcards I did very well. I didn\'t do the best on the final exam but that was completely on me because trust me he gives you everything to be prepared. He\'s the best so definitely take him, you won\'t regret it. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1310 - Reviews speak for themselves. Holleyman is the goat. He will tell you exactly what’s on the test. Just make Quizlet of his reviews and you will get an A. I finished with a 98 lmao. Reading quizzes before every class on canvas (you don’t have to read), no HW, 2 semester exams and a final (the final is literally just exam 3, not cumulative) just an overall free class. Take him! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1310 - Take him!! Such a nice guy. Honestly, I didn't pay that much attention in his class and still was able to do great! His notes consist of fill-in-the-blanks, and that's genuinely all you need to study to do well on the exam. He has 3 essays plus an extra credit bonus essay, and they're all relatively simple. He gives you full points if you know what you're talking about and reach the word minimum, and the extra credit essay does give a nice boost as well. His final was not cumulative for me and just the last unit. Overall, a great guy - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1310 - This man is the kindest soul you will EVER meet. He has a clear passion for this course and is willing to help any student. The courseload is life and if you somewhat pay attention in class you will be able to do the test. Powerpoints VERY helpful. Pay attention to the blanks. Please take him, you will be enlightened in the mind and you will DEFY GRAVITY. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:rel 1310 - super nice guy and fairly easy class! he gave us a quiz that was due before each class but was 5 questions (open book. studying will be needed for the 3 test but if you know the material you will be fine! he assigned four essays (350 words) and an optional for an extra credit essay! was a great lecturer and will be taking him for heritage! Definitely take him!! - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:REL 1310 - Dr. Holleyman is a great professor for rel 1310. He's super friendly and personable, and his classes are definitely as easy to follow and listen to as possible considering the subject. There are a couple of quizzes every week due *before class*, which could be hard if you have a tight schedule, but they are pretty short and relatively easy if you have read the course materials. Tests were not extremely hard, but definitely do need to be studied for. Honestly loved my experience in the class. I've heard a lot of mixed things about other professors for this class, but Dr. Holleyman's definitely a good one-- take his class!! - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:REL 1310 - Dr. Holleyman was an excellent 1310 professor! He is a very nice guy who makes his class easy to understand and track. He posts all of his powerpoints up on Canvas, and is very open for office hours! His class involved three tests, three short essays, and 5 question quizzes before every class (open-book, open-note). Would definitely recommend and take again! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1310 - Super nice and funny guy. My friends and I kept an ongoing list of his quotes throughout the semester. You have quizzes due before every class. They are 5 questions, 6 minutes and all of the answers are in the specified reading. 3 essays that only have to be 350 words. If you get to the word count, he gives a 100. Tests are challenging but doable. The essays saved my A as well as an extra credit essay that raised my grade about 2%. Highly recommend taking him!!! Wish I could have him for Heritage! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:REL 1310 - Dr. Holleyman was great. His class is interesting and insightful. I grew up in church and in a Christian school, but still learned new things. There are a total of 18 online reading quizzes usually due before lecture, but they are easy and he drops the two lowest. There are three essays, but they are simple and self-explanatory. There were three exams and one final, which were easy. The answers all come from the power-points and it is mostly multiple choice. Take Dr. Holleyman for Christian Scriptures or Heritage. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1310 - LOVED this class. His class consists of lectures, take notes, quizzes (open book, at home, no lockdown) every week, and exam. Exams are based on the stories in the Bible, so as long as you get grasp a general outline of the books, you'll pass. You have 3 "critical analysis essays" that you do every few weeks, 300 words, every topic you can look up. His essay grading is either full points or none (he doesn't grade based off of writing ability). Every class period (about half way through lecture) he gives a 2-3 minute break too which was so nice. He doesn't go at a fast pace and also gives extra credit. 10/10 class, definitely taking him for heritage. - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:REL 1350 - Taylor Holleyman is amazing! If I could take this class again I would be more than happy to take him. His lecture style is very clear and easy to follow, and he doesn't overcomplicate concepts. Even though classes like these can feel disengaging I think he does a great job at trying to make it better, and I personally really enjoy coming to this class. The exams aren't hard if you study his powerpoints and pay attention in class. There are canvas quizzes every so often before classes but they are only 5 questions and the reading it is based off is fairly easy (typically only 10ish pages), and you get a few dropped at the end of the semester. Overall, it is a super manageable class and Holleyman is a great professor. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:REL1350 - Holleyman is a great professor. He's very down to Earth and a good teacher. Do the quizzes and you'll be fine. A little bit of a progressive Christian at times, but overall very fair to people of all denominations. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:REL1350 - Such a nice professor, he is newer (not to be confused with his dad). Easy, short quizzes are due before most classes based on a reading or two. Exams are easy, questions based off his powerpoints and quizzes. Final is not cumulative and he drops the 3 lowest quizzes, as well as gives you extra credit for doing an additional reading report which helps a lot. This class typically is a pain with other professors but I got lucky when picking him! Highly recommend! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1350 - Christian Heritage-very easy class, has quizzes before most classes over the reading that are open book and can use ctrl f to find all the answers. Has 3 exams and a final, but the final isn't even cumulative. They are just over the powerpoints and he posts them on canvas. He explains what will be on the test before every test and wants this class to be easy for you. There are 3 reading reports that take 30 minutes tops cause they are one page double spaced. Take if you want an easy A, just gets boring at times cause the info isnt super invigorating. Very nice man as well. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1310 - Such a sweet professor, there's a quiz before every class but their super easy and take like 2 mins, always gives a review before every test, reading the book is helpful but not necessarily required, would definitely take again! - Grade In Class:B+
Comments:1310 - Really recommend him compared to other scriptures professors!! He's a newer professor and honestly such a nice guy. His lectures may be extremely boring, but all quizzes are online and super easy if you read! He is super helpful at informing you about everything you need to know for the tests -- like literally gave us example questions we can expect to see on the actual tests. Take him if you want an easy A!!! - Grade In Class:A
