Comments:1310 - If you follow her writing guidelines, you'll be perfectly fine. She spells out every single detail and what to do. She was gone many times in the semester because of being sick but that's totally understandable. Often times, her classes would end 20 min early because we didn't need to be there to work on our papers or we finished with our notes. The whole semester is based on you choosing a research topic. So compared to AP Lang, it's easy but tedious work finding sources and annotating them. She's honest and can be stern sometimes but in a caring way to make sure we finish our assignments on time. Definitely take her if you get the chance.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1310 - So, I think my review is going to be a bit different from others because Mrs.Martinez went through a lot this semester. This class, as stated in other reviews, is not a blow-off class. She is very kind, and when she can, she offers help. She doesn't grade your big assignments until the end of the semester and I still haven't seen my actual grades on them. That being said, she is very kind and expresses her love for her students. She was sick a lot this semester, but still made sure to check in on students. Also, on a regular basis, she would let us out of class early and even allow us to attend other sections if we so pleased. She does not offer extra credit, but if you follow what she likes in papers, you will be fine. Frankly, I love Mrs.Martinez, and I would recommend her to anyone  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:RW&IQ- 1310 - I LOVED her class! she does have high expectations and a set format that she wants your papers written in but if you follow her instructions it is very likely you will get an A. There are no exams, so your grade comes from daily work grades and your essays, however if you turn in the daily work on time, it is a guaranteed 100 for your daily work grade. She did cancel class often due to personal reasons, but she was very quick to answer any emails. She is super funny and a really cool person, I definitely recommend taking her class.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1310 - Mrs. Martinez is a great professor for this course. She lays out assignments in a very organized and helpful way. The only real workload is writing essays, and when you pick a topic at the start of the semester, MAKE SURE IT IS GOOD AND YOU LIKE IT. It will only make everything easier as you go about writing different essays. She had to cancel a lot of classes for personal reason, which was disappointing but it wasn\'t her fault. She is a hilarious person and once she finds out something embarrassing or quirky about you she WILL exploit it in a great way but make sure to have fun with it.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1310 - I LOVE HER SO MUCH. Professor Martinez is such a great person and kind woman. Due to personal reasons, class was canceled a lot but she was always answering my emails and making time to check up on us. She is not a super harsh grader but with that said she will take off points if you don't follow her guidelines. She makes her vision for the assignment super clear and is always open to asking questions. Again, she is so sweet and such a patient professor.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1310 - Unfortunately, we did not have class very often due to personal reasons of hers, but the time we did have class she was great! She knows her stuff quite well, and tells you exactly what to do. She is super funny and laid back and would always let us leave early. You focus on writing one paper, and you basically get to pick whatever topic. She'll meet with you one on one and it really helps! I loved her a lot and I hope she is doing well.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1310 - Go to the conferences man. Pay attention in her class and she will like you, she keeps her classes to the point with no busy work. She keeps it super real and isn't scared to call you out for slacking. Her conferences are crucial to you doing well so go to them!!! Would highly recommend.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ENG 1310 - She assigns zero homework except for work on the actual essays, which there are 3 in total. Class was cancelled a lot and she has conference weeks where there is no class as well, a total bonus for sure. If you’re sensitive though she’s probably not the gal for you because her feedback can be harsh and she will straight up roast you and the whole class.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1310 - She is the most chill prof I have ever had for English. She canceled class all of the time and was always super hilarious when we actually had class. We wrote three essays in total and then compiled them all together for a portfolio. There is more than enough time to write the first essay, but there is a quick turnaround from the second to the third. She is always open to meeting outside of class to discuss your essay and sometimes we have individual meetings scheduled across weeks, so you do not have class during this time. She is actually so funny and likes to throw in roasts during classes. I liked her a lot and would recommend her!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:ENG 1310 - (THIS IS NOT A BLOW-OFF CLASS) If you take the class seriously, are a somewhat decent writer, and pay attention to detail, you will be just fine. Mrs. Martinez is a pretty good teacher, she's very chill and I highly recommend taking her for English. If you take her seriously and are respectful in class, she will more than likely raise your grade at the end of the semester. She canceled class a lot and was a very chill teacher. But seriously, DO NOT procrastinate and DO NOT miss deadlines. If you can do that, you will do great.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1310 - ENG 1310: Prof Martinez is the chillest professor I've ever had at Baylor. She is very low key and willing to help. She's very to the point and wants her students to do well. You have to write three essays during the class, but she is very helpful and breaks you up into small groups to edit with each other. She cancelled class all the time. If you are a competent writer and form a relationship with her, you'll love her. She goes through everything in depth and has soft deadlines. Definitely take her.   - Grade In Class:A
