Comments:FIN 3405 - Dr. D is one of the best professor I’ve had at Baylor! He is very passionate about real estate. I learned so much in his class. He teaches and explains the material thoroughly. Dr. D uses real life examples to help solidify the topics and makes the class interesting. He wants his students to learn the material and is willing to help with topics you don’t understand. There’s no assigned homework, but it would be smart to look over notes after every class to help prepare for the tests.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Intro to Real Estate - One of the best professors I've had at Baylor. Don't buy the book, just go off of his notes online. The tests are multiple choice. Most questions are very easy, but a few are unusually tricky.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:RE Principles - Dr. Delaney is one of the coolest teachers at Baylor. He is extremely knowledgable in real estate. You learn a lot of practical things from this course, and you should take it whether you are a finance major or not. It should not be a 4 hour credit because he lets you out early almost every class. He uses the same lecture notes every semester. Tests are 40 questions multiple choice. They are managable but you have to study. They are 4 tests and a final, but not homework or projects besides that.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Fundamentals and Appraisa - This dude is the coolest guy ever. I wish he taught all my classes. You are insane if you don't take a class from him at some point during your time in the business school. No homework, no quizzes, no participation points, and four tests (he drops one). TAKE THIS DUDE.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3405 - Dr. Delaney is by far my favorite professor I have had in the business school! Definitely take him if you have the opportunity. I learned the most I have ever learned in any class at Baylor. He makes class really interesting and he engages students well. Eventhough class started at 8:45 he lets you out early most days and it is not a drag to go to class. He has four tests and drops one of them. The tests are basically what are in the notes. If you know all the material then the tests are not terribly difficult. There is no homework so it is an easy workload. All the tests are multiple choice. He has previous notes online so if you miss a day of class you can easily catch up. MAKE SURE YOU TAKE DR. D!!!!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3405 - Delaney is a really fun professor. He is very good an answering any questions you have in class and his tests are tricky but straight from his lectures and notes online.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:Principles/Appraisal - Delaney iss my favorite professor in the business school by a long shot. He is a great teacher, and he cares about your grade as much as you do. Take this guy if you can! I promise you wont regret it. Dr D makes school fun.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:Principles/Appraisal - HANDS DOWN the BEST professor in the business school! You will learn so much if you just listen and pay attention. The tests can be a little rough but the best way to study is print out all the notes and redo all the problems on there. I only wish he could hand out worksheets so you can follow along and and have something to study instead of having to writing down figures that will be meaningless come test time or future reference. Definitely pay attention Dr. D has a A LOT of knowledge and experience in real estate industry and cool stories and jokes so don't miss out by being late or absent. He is super nice and funny make sure not to bring your "vibrator to class" aka cell phone or text cuz he will call you out. And don't be late for an exam!Priciples-all MC tests and Appraisal-1MC test (REALLY HARD STUDY)and the rest are blue book tests where you pick say 4 out of 6 problems. He's a great guy and is helpful during office hours (I only went once I wish I went more times!) He loves his coffee and fresh caught fish and homebaked goods and dogs!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:Principles - Even though I received a D, Delaney is the best professor I have had at baylor. He does a great job teaching real estate, as well as teaching/explaining finance. The reason for my D was because I did not put in enough time into preparing for the tests. His tests are tough and you MUST prepare and study. He is a good lecturer and does a great job of incorporating humor and current events into the subject matter. He is very thorough. Out of the classroom, he's like the Dos Equis Man,an interesting and cool dude. He's fun to talk to and will go out of his way to help you as long as you show initiative.  - Grade In Class:D

Date: 2012-12-24

Comments:Principles - YOU MUST TAKE THIS CLASS!!! I could honestly never say enough good things about Professor D! His witty humor and smart-ass attitude make his class an absolute riot. Dr. D really tries to get to know his students and teaches in real-life scenarios that are fun and easy to understand. Yes, I said fun!! DO NOT BUY THE BOOK. Print out the exam notes that he has on his Bearspace (link included in syllabus) and just follow along and add to those. That's what I did and I was able to easily make an A.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2012-12-10

Comments:3405 - Good old uncle Chuck D is one of the best professors in Baylor! His sense of humor is often misunderstood, but it is usually by those that lack wits and a sense of humor. If you show up and take decent notes you should be fine, even though at times you feel like you are at a one-man comedy show. He is willing to help students as long as students are willing to work for their grade. He doesn't just handout A's, those need to be earned but a B or B+ is totally manageable. You will walk away from this class with both conventional and unconventional wisdom applicable to daily life.  - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2012-04-23

Comments:FIN 3405 - Dr. D is an awesome professor. It is clear he is interested in the material and also interested in making sure you understand all the concepts. He uses multiple examples and ways of teaching in an attempt to cater everyone's different learning styles. I definitely recommend him as a professor and wish I would have taken a real estate class before my last semester of college. He does not require you to purchase the book and as long as you take detailed notes and attend class you should be fine. There are five tests, one of which he drops and no quizzes or homework. Occasionally you are assigned an article to read but there are always questions on the test pertaining to the article. Take Dr. D!!! He's the best!  - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2012-04-17

Comments:RE 4330 - Find a way to take this class. One of the best teachers in the business school. No book, no homework, just tests. If you take good notes, combine them with the ones on line, and look at it frequently, you'll do fine. Yes, he calls you out in class...but what do you expect? Just sit there while he lectures at you? Those are the boring classes. Just know your stuff and pay attention and try, and you'll do fine. If anyone talks bad about this guy, it's because they did it to themselves and got a bad grade, or they took it personally when Dr. D called them out for not knowing what was going on. He is just kidding people.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2010-05-07

Comments:Appraisal - Dr. D has been my best professor while at Baylor! I've learned more in his classes than in any other classes, and he makes learning the material enjoyable! He wants his students to succeed and is always willing to help you if you need it. If you come to class and pay attention you will do well in his class! Everyone should take Dr. D for at least one class while at Baylor otherwise you are missing out on a college experience!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2010-02-21

Comments:RE 3405 - The tests were accurate with the lectures and a good test of our knowledge. You don't even need the book for the class because Delaney lectures about everything you need to know, in a much more conducive manner than reading straight from the text.   - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2010-01-28

Comments:Principles/Appraisal - Dr. D is one of the BEST professors I've had at Baylor! A word to he wise: come to class prepared and participate. You will learn so much in his class AND be well entertained! He is quite the character. There is virtually no homework, just articles you should read before class. He also drops one test grade... need I say more? If you haven't signed up yet, get on it! Take Dr. D!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2010-01-25

Comments:Appraisal and Principles - One of the best professors at Baylor. Almost no homework and as long as you attend class and pay attention the tests aren't that bad.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:Appraisal and Principles - If you like you teachers hung over and hopped up on percocet then you will like Dr. D. He is a great guy but a terrible teacher. If you are going to take his class be sure you do not learn by route. If you do not know what that is you will soon find out.  - Grade In Class:D

Comments:RE 4330 - Okay, here's the truth of the matter. Dr. D. is the best--repeat BEST--professor I've had at Baylor. He's quite the character, so lecturing is frequently interrupted with some entertaining comic relief. There's NO homework, 3 semester exams (one of which is dropped) plus the final, and some applicable articles that he discusses in class. Exams 2, 3, and the final are bluebook, so know your stuff. Delaney's always available to help if you need it, so an A in Appraisals is definitely doable. Take Delaney if you want to learn a ton and have fun along the way!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2009-05-18

Comments:RE3405 - Chuck is great teacher. He loves to teach and it is evident in the classroom. Stay on your game or he'll call you out in front of the class. Only a few assigned readings and then 5 Exams including the final. If you show up to class and actively take notes you'll do great. No need to buy an expensive book, he tests off of what he lectures only. His email techniques are somewhat unorthodox...dont let him pull a fast one on you. And I hear he gives extra credit if you have an epic mustache by the time the final rolls around  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2009-05-05

Comments:RE3405 - Dr. Delaney is the man! Not only is he a awsome professor he is a great guy too. If you take a Dr. Delaney class what ever it is you will always be looking forward to the next class meeting. He is energetic, funny, and entertaing, you never know what he is going to say next. There is virtually no work load except for some articles that he suggest you read. Great class to get into to learn the basics of real estate.  - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2009-02-18

Comments:Appraisal/Principles - So many things to say about Dr. D. You either love him or you hate him...I loved him. Now that I am out in the "real world," I have realized how relevant and helpful the information really is. I've related back to concepts I've learned in his class many times and he has a way of helping you remember things...with examples etc. I actually feel like I have a leg up on my peers. Don't get me wrong you definitely have to study hard, but it pays off tremendously! And by the way, this was one of the few A's I got in college!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2009-01-30

Comments:4330 - Why the hell haven't you signed up for RE Appraisals with Dr. D yet?! Get on the ball Son lol. Forget the book. Bring an attention span and take notes. Try everything twice, don't be shy. I got fine grades and took the tests 'Hi.' This is another class with no homework, grades depend solely on tests. Tests are short if you know what you are doing. Better yet, you learn. Got that? Dr. D wants you to learn concepts, application, & mechanics.  - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2009-01-24

Comments:3405 - Principles- you learn some, you get lost in some. Dr. D knows what the F he's talking about and makes class interesting. Add 0, ZERO!, homework and no deductions for allowed absences and you have a class worth getting to after a night of.....BU approved socializing. Its not easy for everyone and grades aren't all high but he wants to help you get through life on top.  - Grade In Class:B+

Date: 2009-01-24

Comments:3405 - Dr. D is such a great professor! The class is actually prevalent for later in life if you plan on owning any type of real-estate; home, business, development, etc… He actually owns investment real-estate so he isn’t like most professors who just preach from a book and never had any real life experience in the field. He will put you on the spot if you look hung over or aren’t paying attention, but isn’t that real life? If you enjoy the outdoors, bring that to his attention, Dr. D will shoot the breeze with you and somehow relate it real-estate. Anyone whose name is chuck, only wears boots and carharts to class and has one ridiculous handle-bar mustache is defiantly worth taking a class from. Take Dr. D!!!  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:Principles of Real Estate - Chuck D is the shit! his classes are not that bad all you have to do is go to class and take notes. You dont have to buy the book so he saves u $$$. Hes not afraid to joke around a bit and if he tries to make fun of you dont be afraid to shoot it write back at him. Hes easy to get off subject if you bring up an interesting topic related to real estate, fishing or hunting. His class is very informative and the information taught is actually useful. Overall hes a smart guy worth listening too.  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2008-11-21

Comments:3405 - I was excited going into this class because I love the material and saw his good rating on here. IMO, he is an average teacher who does not put any effort into his class. Don't buy the book because he doesn't use it. He also doesn't use blackboard and doesn't write anything out. Basically you have to gather relevant information from his rants and hope to write it down how he meant it. Also, I would take finance before you take this class. If you don't you will be lost and have to learn finance principles on the side because he will not stop to teach you, he assumes everyone has taken Finance.   - Grade In Class:C

Date: 2008-08-11

Comments:3405 - He is a good teacher who likes to put students on the spot. The only grades in the class are 3 semester exams and the final. There are No quizzes, extra credit or homework which is pretty nice. But beware this is all lectures and there is a lot of note taking!!! But the test are based on the lectures which are pretty nice so if study your notes you should do ok on the test. Good luck!!!  - Grade In Class:A

Date: 2007-05-03

Comments:3405 - Dr. D is very energetic and funny. He knows a lot about real estate and you can learn information that you can apply to your family life (instead of just business). There are 4 tests, one is dropped, and the final. Take extremely good notes because 85% of the test questions come from lectures. There are 3 homework assignments- title search, book report, auction -choose 2 and they are completion grade. Extra credit assignment worth upto 20 points on a test; normally he gives 15 points. You never stay later than an hour so make this your last class of the day.  - Grade In Class:B

Date: 2005-05-13

Comments:RE Principles - Fun and Interesting class. Only three homework assignments all semester, but you only have to do two of them. Each assignment will take about two hours to complete. Tests are taken directly from notes, so pay attention and take detailed notes. Extra Credit makes a huge difference and took me from a B to an A. The extra credit project will take about 6 hours to do if you want to do a good enough job to get a lot of bonus points. You have all semester to do it. He drops the lowest test. I suggest taking this class even if you arn't a Real Estate major, since almost everyone will own real estate a some point.   - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3405 - Good teacher. Really makes class interesting. Tests are not too bad. Almost no hw.  - Grade In Class:A
