Comments:HP 1420 & 2306 - Adeyemi is probably the nicest human on the planet. EXTREMELY fair class. Do his guided notes and make sure to take notes on every single thing he mentions in class. A good chunk of exam content is what he mentions in class, he does this to make sure you come to class and pay attention. But he will always make sure to preface and tell us to pay extra attention when introducing a new topic. Flipped classroom, but very low time commitment (in comparison to other popular flipped classrooms like Jonklaas and Tandy). He's amazing! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1420 - honestly this was a hard class for me, and im assuming if youre here, you probably also have to take the class. After reading previous ratings, i really didnt think it was gonna be a difficult class. He just over complicates things that should not be hard. nearly every single exam question is "select all that apply" or ordering so that kicked my butt. He assigns quizzes every Saturday and theyre due Sunday night. I dont know maybe im the problem, but out class average on the last exam was 75 so... - Grade In Class:C+
Comments:HP 2306 - Dr. A is truly the nicest professor I've ever had. He is constantly trying to help you succeed. The class is not really difficult, but it is a flipped classroom style, so you will constantly be having to take notes outside of class and be prepared before class. The notes are not really necessary before you come to class, but you will have to turn them in at the end of the semester for a grade, so keep up with them and don't wait until the end to do everything. Each exam is cumulative, so study WAY more than you think you need to. The final is pretty long, most students took the full two hours to take it, and it is also cumulative, so come prepared. The material we "learn" in class is...meh. Class always went by super fast for me, but I left feeling like I learned nothing. A majority of this class is learning on your own outside of class, and then asking Dr. A questions when you see him. I will say, he is very available, and he definitely wants his students to succeed. I think an A is extremely doable in this course, but you need to prepare ahead of time. Do NOT wait until the night before to start studying for the exams. He puts the reviews out pretty early, so take at least a week to study. I loved Dr. A as a person, but he has a tendency to over-explain and make things more complicated than they need to be. Just put in the work and you'll be fine. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:HP 2306 - Dr. Adeyemi has been my favorite teacher at Baylor. I had him for HP 1420 (anatomy) and he was great as well. He uses the method of a flipped classroom, which I enjoyed. I believed this helped me do well in the class. Due to completing notes and small lecture videos (5-15 min) outside of class, we used class time to practice our knowledge. He is such a nice professor and I cannot recommend him enough. He genuinely cares about his students and is open to explaining things. All of his tests are cumulative, which is very helpful when it comes to the final. You might see previous questions pop up on it. There are quizzes almost every weekend. These are open notes, but review notes before because they are timed. This mimics his tests very well. He also allows you to review your quizzes and tests, which I liked a lot. There are 5 extra credit opportunities--do these!! Overall, a great professor and highly recommend him. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:HP 2306 - This is gonna sound mean but if you had a problem with this class or the professor, you probably have not been challenged much at Baylor. Flipped classroom does not work for a lot of people which is totally fine, but honestly I preferred considering that 90% of my lectures consist of the professor reading off of slides which they share with us anyways and it's only essential to go to class to hear what they say will or will not be on the exam. Dr. A gives take-home quizzes, and they're not hard to do well on if you actually keep up with the homework and lecture notes bc... they are OPEN NOTE. Also, at the end of the semester you compile all your notes and turn them in, and it's such an easy 100 that will boost your grade. The exams are somewhat difficult, but if you actually study at least a few days before the test, you will be fine. I got a 90, 84, and 89 on his tests and still got an A, which is a 93, because of the other point possibilities. Stuff you do in class is actually meaningful and he will often times cancel class and replace it with "orthopedic explorations" which are essentially homework assignments for applying what you have been learning. If you actually try, you can get an A on all of those as well. I can see how if you have never had an application-based class at Baylor, getting an A in this class would be hard, but really its a mangeable A if you manage your time correctly. Make quizlets, finish your notes in a timely manner (DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE END OF THE SEMESTER)- they take MAYBE 20 minutes at most to do each week, do the extra credit devotionals, and actually look at your notes for the quizzes and you will be fine. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:HP 2306 - I'll start by saying that if this guy wasn't so damn nice, I would hate every single fiber of his being. He really does want everyone to do well in his class, but he makes EVERYTHING way more difficult than it needs to be. He does a flipped classroom which is complete bs. Idk if his EdD told him it was a good idea but it's not. Dr. A if you're reading this, pls for the love of God stop using the flipped classroom thing. It's all taking notes outside of class as hw and "activities" and "labs" in class. Really doesn't teach you anything. Quizzes are also pretty hard for being take home. Lots of assignments that give you free points but they don't mean anything if you don't do good on the exams, which were the bane of my existence. Every single one is cumulative, especially the final which is 120 questions. At the end of the semester, there is a course portfolio assignment, in which we showcase our notes and all activities we did throughout the semester. Why? Don't ask me. If you don't take notes the way he likes it, points gone. I really did not like this class most of the time, however, he is a super likeable and approachable guy. Take this with a grain of salt, but from what I know, a lot of people felt the same way. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1420 - Dr. Adeyemi has been THE BEST teacher I have had at Baylor. Anatomy is a difficult course, but he explains everything so well and wants you to succeed. He is the most personable teacher at Baylor and genuinely cares for his students. He uses a different teaching style than most teachers, but it was amazing. He provides guided notes and lecture videos that are usually 5-10 min. long. All of his tests are cumulative, which is very nice when it comes to the final because most of the stuff you have seen before. I would absolutely recommend taking him for anatomy if you want to succeed. You will definitely need to put in the work to get an A, but if you stay on top of everything and review everything, you will do well. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:1420 - Dr. Adeyemi is a FANTASTIC teacher! I went into his course not knowing anything about him, and was a little nervous since this was my first anatomy class. Dr. Adeyemi shows up to class everyday prepared, always greets you with a smile & "good morning!", and learns your name almost instantly. He is a big fan of the flipped classroom aspect of learning. I wasn't a huge fan of this process before his class, but I've actually grown to really like it! His flipped classroom consisted of 2 videos he asked us to watch before class, as well as super easy fill-in-the-blank textbook notes from our required class textbook. The lecture videos were anywhere from 2-9ish minutes long. Never more than 15 minutes. So, completing outside classroom work was really easy. He also gives study guides that tell you exactly where to study within your provided notes. Also, in class, he always says "if you'll write this in your notes..." meaning he'll expect you to know that for the exam. In total, he tells you exactly what you need to know to do well on the exam. I simply studied his study guides and took good notes in class, and I ended up with a comfortable A in the class! Not only that, but I really enjoyed this class as well! I felt like I learned useful information for my future career and time at Baylor... all thanks to Dr. Adeyemi! If you're thinking about taking him... do it!! You will not regret it! - Grade In Class:A
Comments:HP 2306 - Dr. A is great. Gives tudy guides and his course structure is very organized. Exams are difficult but fair. The only complaint I have is that to get a "A" you need a 94. Right now I have a 94.5 so its very attainable, just stay on top of things. - Grade In Class:A
Comments:HP 2306 - Dr. Adeyemi is an okay professor. He is a really sweet guy, but he made his class unnecessarily hard. He uses a "flipped" classroom structure where you have to watch videos online outside of class before his lectures. I hated this structuring. It created so much work outside of class time and he gave three quizzes per week. His exams are incredibly hard and every exam is cumulative. He also structures his exams as multi-select or free response. This class should not have been as hard as it was. He would often teach the material wrong too and get flustered. I know he is a new professor at Baylor but I was not impressed. I would never take him again nor would I recommend him. - Grade In Class:A
