Comments:REL1310 - Mrs. Forney is such a sweet person and great teacher. She's clearly passionate about her work and is always happy to chat after class. Also, all her quizzes and tests are online and take-home. She was always availiable to go over tests and help with projects in her office hours as well.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1305 - Professor Forney did a great job balancing her plan for the course with her audience of students. She made sure that everyone was keeping up while making the assignments and tests fair. Everything we had to do really reflected the material well and we were able to do well without having this required course take over our semester. I come from a Christian background, and I thought she was tolerant of those who needed more background info. Some people next to me got bored when she spent time on ideas for non-believers, but I appreciated her desire to be inclusive. The grade comes mostly from tests (including the final) and two papers plus weekly quizzes, but most of the work just requires you to pay attention. Whether you’re looking forward to scriptures or dreading it, she will be a great choice!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:REL 1310 - A very personable and engaging professor! The only HW consisted of assigned short readings and occasional reading quizzes. The exams were easy IF you paid attention in class and they were online. She is very passionate about the subject and does a great job of explaining the Bible to a modern audience.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:REL 1310 - She's honestly so good, can't recommend her enough. She's very thorough with her PowerPoint slides and they're always posted to Canvas so you can follow along on your own computer. The slides also aren't boring or dull, so it's actually a pretty interesting class. As someone who comes from a Christian background, I found her teaching to be really good because she tries to reach both believers and non-believers. This way it's not just a bunch of stuff I already knew, though the average Christian would probably be somewhat familiar with some of the concepts discussed. There are these pretty easy weekly quizzes that are 7-8 questions long, and there are 4 exams (the 4th one counts as the final). The exams and the quizzes are all open note and open book. She genuinely cares for her students and wants to see you do well. If you can get a spot in one of her classes, you 100% should.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:REL 1310 - THE BEST SCRIPTURES PROF OUT THERE!!! Teaches very well through powerpoints and is fun and engaging. Open note exams, open note quizzes, two essays that aren't long at all. She is great  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:REL 1310 - Professor Forney is one of the best you can take for scriptures. I've heard really bad things about professors and you never hear anything bad about her. Her tests are online and timed. It's very very fast paced. I almos run out of time every test. She has weekly online quizzes that are also timed. I often didn't do very great on them and still got an A. Overall, great professor, but when it comes time for the exams and quizzes you really have to lock in  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1310 - EASY A WITH MINIMAL EFFORT! All of the exams are taken outside of class and are open note. There are weekly reading quizzes, but they are super easy and are also open note. The reading assignments can kind of be a lot at times, but you can also get away with not reading them and still be fine.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1310 - SUCH AN EASY A! did i ever take notes? Nope! The lowest grade I made on one of her exams was a 96. She is literally so king and truly cares about her students. She does not try to trick you with her tests. Definitely my favorite prof I have had at Baylor so far! TAKE HER!!!!!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1310 - Professor Forney is amazing!! Not only is her class very easy to get an A in, but she's so nice and truly cares about her students. She offered extra credit on every exam (max 3 points) and they were all take home. We had a quiz once a week about the readings, but it was really easy and nothing to worry about. The exams were also really easy and there was no lockdown browser which was helpful. If you get the chance take her!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1310 - If you have no Christian background and want a class that takes minimal effort to pass, please take her. I was not excited to take this class, but she made enjoying her class so easy. All her exams are online (no lockdown/camera) and you only have 3 major assignments for this class (essays). She does have a quiz every week but they are SO easy. I didn't study or take notes for this class and somehow pulled a B. She is such a kind professor, great lecturer, and you can tell she genuinely cares about her students.  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:REL 1310 - Take Prof. Forney! Workload is very light, weekly quiz and some reading. Quizzes, Tests, and there are a few papers which do not take long at all. She just wants to hear your thoughts and they are an easy A. There was extra credit for each test as well. Both Quizzes and Tests are both open notes and online from wherever. Super low stress class and an A is super attainable.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1350 - She is the sweetest professor ever! All tests and quizzes are open note and are online... She is truly compassionate and she makes herself available all the time for students even if you just want to talk about life. There is reading that she assigns before every class, but if you skip a reading it's not going to affect you majorly.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1310 - The best professor during my time at Baylor. A great professor that truly understands what her students are going through and that they have other things going on. In her class you just take notes and she has so much knowledge about what she teaches. I personally didn't study for the exams and did very well. The quizzes are decent and you can use your book and notes. She is understanding and reasonable. She is super engaging while she teaches and explains the content well. Highly recommend her to EVERYONE!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:REL 1310 - My favorite teacher by far from my first semester at Baylor. She is so engaging, so kind, and clearly is very passionate about what she is teaching. It is an easy class to get by without much effort, but I really recommend engaging with the material and participating. If you do not know who to take for Christian Scriptures or Christian Heritage, TAKE HER!!! You will love her and will be able to get a good grade in the class.  - Grade In Class:A
