Comments:MTH 1322 - Dr Erickson is incredible! Calc II is somewhat dense, Dr Erickson breaks it down and teaches at a reasonable pace. Definitely take the time to complete the homework well. Weekly quizzes are reasonable. Exams are fair.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1322 - I'm terrible at math and usually hate anything to do with math, but Dr. Erickson is AMAZING. He's accommodating and doesn't make you feel like an idiot for struggling with something. He was always extremely kind to me with anything and even knew my whole class by everyone's name. There were never any surprises on the quizzes or exams, so if you studied, you'd do fine (I suck at math). The workload is minimal; homework is due on Mondays, and quizzes on Fridays. I recommend him to anyone; whether you're incredibly skilled in math or average or even below average, I recommend him.  - Grade In Class:C+

Comments:1321 - I love this man with my whole heart!!!! if you are taking calc please take him!!! He will never test you on things that you didn't go over in class and he will even ask the class if they feel ready to have certain topics on the test and if you say no he won't put them on there. He's a super great and energetic teacher. He wants you to succeed and for every test he makes reviews that are EXACTLY like the test just with different numbers. If you're having a hard time in class just go to his office hours, he has them all the time and he is super helpful. He also does an easy 10 point quiz every week and if you go to his office hours the day before he will tell you exactly what is on them!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:3325 - ODE - Probably the nicest prof in the whole of the math department! Always wants to help, always extremely friendly, and also hilarious. Class is never boring with him! His only downside is that he doesn’t drop any exams, so if you have a bad day on one it’s difficult - but doable - to get yourself back on track.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:MTH1321 - He is the best calculus professor, I promise. As someone who didn't take pre-cal or calculus in high school, I was hesitant. But Professor Erickson has such a great teaching style and ACTUALLY explains things in a way that makes sense. I got A's on all the exams. He has good and helpful office hours and really makes himself available to help you. He posts the department-recommended homework problems as a practice, but they are never graded or due. It is honestly super nice to only practice and review what you need rather than doing hours of useless homework just because it's due at midnight. Mostly every week, he will do a quick quiz about last week's material. The quizzes are short and straightforward, and they're meant to show you what you need more practice on. Other Baylor students will warn you not to take Calc here, but I recommend Erickson if you do. Also, he's so funny. Calculus is awful, but he makes it better.   - Grade In Class:A
