Comments:BUS 1350 - Great guy! I loved his class! This class is definitely unlike any other I have taken, and if you are not an expert in excel this class will definitely be a struggle. I think he is the best guy to teach this class though. Most of the grade is exams, which we have 2 and then a final. The first exam will be a shock, and he will tell you that, I would reccommend HEAVILY studying and repeating the trainings because that is over half of the exam, the rest is concepts, so focus on studying those as well. I would take advantage of everything that he gives you to study for these exams, I found them extremely helpful, the slideshows are where I would lean the heaviest on. I would spend a lot of time studying for these exams since they make up so much of your grade and they consist of a LOT of content. The rest of the class is assignments/projects which is like turning in excel files after completing a list of tasks, super easy. In class we go over basically all of the tasks you will need to know for the assignments so completing them is easy. Honestly kind of a fun class, he makes it fun I think. Take him!  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1350 - Professor Risinger is a great teacher. I will say hopefully you don't need help with anything because he will make you feel dumb for asking. I emailed him twice and was left more confused or upset than I was before. The weekly assignment are easy. They take about an hour each once you get used to them. There are two unit exams and a final. Each test is about 65-80 questions with the final being 100. The test are not as difficult as people are making them sound but you def have to study for them. He gives you SO MANY resources to study. He emails them a little while before the test. Honestly he is a great teacher I learned really easily in the class, but it takes effort. I also realized that his test formats are the easiest to learn, its through a website and you get 3 chances for excel problems and one for multiple choice. Other teachers have you using a flash drive or a paper with the problems, etc. The people saying it's really hard genuinely didn't pay attention in class. I loved this class.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:1350 - Prof Risinger knows the course very well and is educated on the topic. However, he moves very fast and you'll have to work double time in class in order to get everything. The assignments are really easy but the exams are awful. He tells you on the first day that you will fail the exams if you don't do the module practices. Overall, he is a great professor but the class is difficult overall so I would def recommend Risinger.  - Grade In Class:C+

Comments:BUS 1350 - He is funny and will randomly bring bags of candy to the class. MCQ parts of exams can be really nitpicky, which is annoying. Def study the training modules and slides. Overall not too bad and def the best option  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:BUS1350 - This class is not easy unless you already know some base level excel stuff. Pro tip: just practice with the learning modules a bunch for the tests and be intentional about what the terms for everything are so you don't miss easy conceptual questions. Assignments are easy, you get a straightforward document telling you what you need to do and a starter excel file and then you do what the doc says and then you turn it in and get a grade. The tests are a little tougher, you have half conceptual test questions where it will ask you about the terminology of excel, and then the other half is application questions where it will open an excel simulator and you have to complete a task it asks you to do in 3 tries or you fail the question. Seems like a pretty easy class but it gets really tough in the later units. From what I know the prof isn't a huge deal for this class, Risinger is funny, and a good guy, not very forgiving grade wise but neither are a lot of the other professors for this class. I'd recommend taking him, but good luck on the curriculum it's not easy.  - Grade In Class:B+

Comments:1350 - Prof Risinger is an amazing professor and won't fail to make you laugh! However, you might think this class is easy and a blow off, but IT IS NOT! You have to take it seriously because there are only 2 exams and the final, and they are also mainly comprehensive rather than actually doing Excel techniques. So be aware, but choose Prof Risinger for Excel!  - Grade In Class:B

Comments:BUS1350 - I loved Prof. Risinger's class! He keeps things light-hearted and always keeps a Dr Pepper on hand to fuel his addiction. I don't rate him the highest on teaching ability because the real learning in this class comes through doing the homeworks, and a lot of the teaching done in class either reads word for word off of the textbook, or through homework assignment walk-throughs (which are still very helpful, attendance gives you a big advantage in this class.) Either way, the homeworks sometimes were a little tedious but the tests weren't terrible. My comments may be a little skewed though--Baylor pays for Linkedin Learning, which I spent some time with other the summer before taking this class, which made this class take virtually no effort. Overall, great class and don't be afraid to contribute and ask questions; he'll be honest with you if he doesn't know.  - Grade In Class:A

Comments:BUS 1350 - He is an amazing and funny teacher, BUT he does not curve. On tests where other excel teachers offered 9 and 10 points curved he gave nothing. Even when he had failing averages, this man did not bump anyone grades up unless he made a personal mistake. Look for another. (This class is so goddamn easy you should take it online)  - Grade In Class:A
